UP Election 2022: From Akhilesh to BJP MP, here's what Lord Krishna is telling netas in dreams

Lord Ram may have been the pivot of Uttar Pradesh politics for decades, but Lord Krishna seems to be the God of this election season. From suggesting poll candidates to predicting the next government, Krishna is having a literal "dream" run in UP.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harnath Singh Yadav has claimed that Lord Krishna appeared in his dreams on Sunday night and told him CM Yogi Adityanath should contest assembly elections from Mathura. On Monday, the MP wrote to party president JP Nadda urging him to declare Yogi as BJP’s candidate from Krishna's birthplace.

The MP, who hails from Mainpuri, has further claimed that the Lord has asked him to mediate and convey the message that it is His will to see Yogi contest from Mathura.

Taking a swipe at the BJP, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav shared his own Krishna dreams. The former UP CM said that Lord Krishna appears in his dreams every night to tell him that SP is going to form the next government.

With the work on Ram Mandir in Ayodhya already on, BJP has brought in Mathura into the Mandir mix this election season. Several BJP leaders, including Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Mathura MP Hema Malini, have raked up the issue of a grand temple at the Krishna's birth site.

The supposed temple site, which is a subject of multiple lawsuits, is located inside an old mosque in Mathura and shares its premises with a prominent temple.
