The war of words between Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi has turned uglier and personal.

The Delhi chief minister, who is on mission Punjab, called the Punjab CM a "fake Kejriwal" taking potshots at his welfare policy announcements.

"In Punjab, a fake Kejriwal is roaming. Whatever I promise here, he repeats the same. In the entire country, only one man, Kejriwal, can bring your electricity bill to zero. So beware of that fake Kejriwal," Arvind Kejriwal said while addressing a public gathering in Punjab’s Moga district on Monday.

The Punjan CM hit back by calling the AAP leader an outsider.

"Punjab is not a barren land. People know who a is Punjab and who is an outsider. They do not require Arvind Kejriwal's mission Punjab, "Charanjit Channi said.

Earlier taking a swipe at Kejriwal's clothes, the chief minister had asked why cannot Kejriwal get good clothes stitched for himself when he gets paid the highest salary?

To which Kejriwal said, "It's okay if you don't like my clothes. But they are liked by the people. Leave the clothes, just tell the people when you will fulfill your election promises?"

Channi also asked if Kejriwal knew how to milk buffalos or play 'gilli danda' game.

"I have slept in a mud house. I know how to deal with the scorching sun by using a wet cloth and how to milk a buffalo," Channi said.
