Sharad Pawar predicts major loss for BJP in Maharashtra, says MVA will win...

In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led NDA put up a a terrific performance, winning 41 of the 48 seats in Maharashtra. However, this time NCP chief Sharad Pawar has made a bold prediction, signalling a major loss for the saffron party in the state.

In an interview with the Time of India, Pawar opined that the Maha Vikas Aghadi will win at least 50% of the seats. If the prediction comes true, the NDA will be restricted to just 24 seats or less.

Pawar also ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his 'Abki baar 400 paar' narrative, saying he does not understand the basis of the claim.

Pawar further criticised Modi for the "language used by the PM" during his rallies.

"I was stunned and surprised by the language used by the PM during his campaign in Maharashtra. Shockingly, he called me Bhatakti Aatma(wandering soul) and described Shiv Sena (UBT) as fake. Such language is not expected from a PM; he has lowered the dignity of the post," Pawar was quoted as saying by the TOI.
