'Ghabra gaye kya, Modi ji?' Rahul Gandhi retorts to Adani-Ambani attack

"Ghabra gaye kya, Modi ji?"

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a direct attack, suggesting he took the names Adani and Ambani in public for the very first time because he was "running a little scared."

"Normally you would take the names Adani and Ambani behind closed doors. For the very first time, the took the names Adani, Ambani in public," Rahul Gandhi said in a video posted by Congress' official handle on X.

He went on to ask how the prime minister knew the industrialists sent money in 'tempos'. "Is this you personal experience," he chided.

"Why don't you do one thing, send CBI and ED behind them and conduct an inquiry, and do this quickly. Don't be afraid, Modi ji," said Gandhi, in an apparent challenge to Modi.

Addressing an election rally at Vemulawada in Telangana earlier, Modi claimed the Congress had stopped abusing Ambani and Adani since the elections began. "I want to ask Shehzada how much has been sent by Ambani, Adani. Has tempo loads of money reached the Congress? What deal has been arrived at, that abusing Ambani-Adani has stopped overnight," Modi asked.

Hitting back at PM Modi, and addressing the public in a direct message, Gandhi promised to distribute as much money to the country's poor, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given the top industrialists. "They have made 22 billionaires, we'll make crores of millionaires," Gandhi said.
