Exit polls 2024: Congress likely to maintain lead in Punjab, no gain for AAP

Congress is likely to get a majority of seats in Punjab, where the grand old party contested separately from its ally Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), according to exit polls.

Despite AAP's thumping victory in the previous Assembly elections in Punjab, the party was unable to replicate its performance in the Lok Sabha polls.

According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, Punjab, the Congress is likely to get 7-9 of the 13 seats, with the AAP managing 2 at the most. The pollster has predicted 2 to 4 seats for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

ABP News-CVoter poll has also assigned the Congress the maximum seats at 6-8, with AAP getting 3-5, and BJP 1-3.

Times Now-ETG, meanwhile, has put the three parties almost at par -- Congress 5, AAP and BJP 4 each.
