Congress' love for Pakistan growing: PM Modi on remarks by Channi and Farooq

Addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone on May 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted Congress over former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi's statement on the recent terror attack in Poonch that claimed the life of an Indian Air Force jawan and injured four others.

"After every phase of polling, Congress' love for Pakistan is reaching new heights. The statements made by them are shocking. A former chief minister belonging to the Congress said that our armed forces carry out terror attacks and that Pakistan is innocent. Can the citizens of this country tolerate this? Is this not an insult to our armed forces," said Modi.

Without naming Farooq Abdullah, Modi also hit out at the National Conference chief over his recent statement on Pakistan.

"A leader of a party in alliance with the Congress threatens Bharat, saying Pakistan is not wearing bangles," said Modi.
