BSP candidate from Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat is AAP Jalalabad MLA's father

From brothers contesting against each other to chairs being hurled during debate, a lot has been happening in the ongoing election season. Amidst all this, the BSP on April 8 announced Surinder Kamboj, father of AAP Jalalabad MLA Jagdeep Kamboj aka Goldy, as the candidate from Punjab's Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat.

Surinder Kamboj joined BSP in Jalandhar on April 6. His name has erupted in several controversies. In 2023, he was arrested in an extortion case.

The complainant mentioned that Surinder Kamboj demanded ₹10 lakhs by promising to save him in an alleged false rape complaint.

Speaking about the upcoming elections, Surinder Kamboj claimed that he stands a fairly good chance in the Lok Sabha election as the Kamboj community has a big chunk of over 3 lakh electorates.

Surinder Kamboj also mentioned that has his own ideology, which may be different from his son.
