Chhattisgarh elections: Modi says no development, Baghel says PM only sees Adani's progress

The political bickering is on a high in Chhattisgarh just days before the first phase of voting in the state for assembly elections.

On November 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a rally in Kanker and took on the Bhupesh Baghel government on what he called a lack of development.

'Congress is opposed to development. Where there is Congress, there can't be development. (patch) We worked hard to build Chhattisgarh, we faced difficulties. Till the Congress was in power in Delhi, they kept fighting with the BJP govt in Chhattisgarh but we kept working,' Modi said.

The Chhattisgarh chief minister responded to Modi with a jibe on November 3.

He said that the prime minister can't see the development of common people and that he only sees the development of Adani.

Baghel went to speak about the steps taken by his government to promote public welfare and added that Modi can't see any of it.
