The body of the victim, a resident of JJ Colony in Shahbad Dairy, was found lying in the street, a senior police officer said.
She was passing through the street when she was intercepted by the accused, who stabbed her multiple times, the officer said.
The couple was in a relationship but had a quarrel on Saturday. On Sunday, the victim planned to attend the birthday party of her friend's son but was intercepted and stabbed repeatedly. She was also hit with a stone, he added.
The police said the post-mortem will confirm how many times the victim was stabbed.
The accused is absconding and a search is underway to nab him. A case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Shahbad Dairy police station on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim's father, the police added.&nbsp;

Doctors added that he was probably bitten by a rabid dog in the past but not given proper treatment.

A 24-year-old man, suspected to be suffering from hydrophobia, allegedly killed an elderly woman and ate her flesh in Rajasthan's Pali district following which police arrested the person and admitted him to a hospital, officials said on Saturday.
Doctors at Bangar Hospital said Surendra Thakur, a resident of Mumbai, "is suffering from hydrophobia" -- a fear of water caused by late-stage rabies infection -- possibly because he was bitten by a "rabid dog" in the past and did not get the right treatment.
According to the police, which quoted eyewitnesses, the incident happened in Saradhana village under Sendra police station on Friday when Shanti Devi (65) had gone to graze her cattle. The accused attacked the woman with a stone and killed her, they said.
"The accused is behaving like a mentally sick patient and in an aggressive manner. We have admitted him to the hospital where his medical examination is going on. Even in the hospital, he created a ruckus, after which he was tied up by the nursing staff on a bed," Jaitaran Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukhram Bishnoi said.
He said the accused had come to Sendra from Mumbai on a bus, which was confirmed through a bus ticket he was carrying.
Shanti Devi's son Biren Kathat lodged a police complaint accusing him of killing his mother and eating her flesh. Police said Thakur has been booked under Indian Penal Code section 302 (murder) and also charged with cannibalism.
"I was returning after grazing goats when I saw the man who was eating the flesh of the deceased woman. I got scared and ran from the spot," witness Kathat said, adding he also saw the blood-stained face of the accused.
Initially, locals were frightened after seeing the accused but when he tried to escape they chased him and caught him and handed him over to the police.
"A patient has been admitted at Bangar Hospital who is suffering from hydrophobia. It is possible that a rabid dog might have bitten him in the past. He might not have got vaccinated and because of this, he developed hydrophobia or rabies," Dr Praveen said. &nbsp;Meanwhile, the police handed over the body of the woman to the family members after autopsy.&nbsp;

The CCTV footage shared by news agency ANI show, a woman trying to fight off the miscreants as one of them is holding a sharp weapon in one hand up in the air. The woman is thrown to the ground during the scuffle.&nbsp;
The miscreant with a knife rushes towards the woman and pulls the weapon to her throat, apparently threatening her.&nbsp;
Both men are then seen snatching away things from her and running away.&nbsp;
Police have registered a robbery case on the basis of CCTV footage and further probe is underway, ANI reported.

The victim, Saraswati Vaidya, was in a live-in relationship with a man, identified as Manoj Sahani (56), and the couple has been residing in the flat since the last three years, a senior official at the Naya Nagar police station said.
Police were alerted by local residents who complained of a foul smell emanating from the flat, he said.
A team rushed to the spot and found the decomposed body of the woman which was cut into several pieces, said the official.
He said police have taken into custody two suspects and they are being interrogated.
The official did not reveal the identity of the suspects or a possible motive behind the murder.
A probe was underway.

&nbsp;The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday said it has made the "largest-ever" single operation seizure of about 15,000 LSD blots in the country and arrested six people after it busted an international drugs trafficking network operating on the darknet.
The seizure, as per officials, is estimated to be worth over Rs 10 crore in the international market (about Rs 5K-7K per blot) and all the six who have been taken into custody, beginning late last month, are students and youngsters who wanted to make "easy money" by remaining anonymous within the deep layers of secret internet-based apps and messenger service like WICKR.
Possession of 0.1 gram of LSD (about six blots), which is the commercial quantity for the hallucinogenic drug, invites strict legal action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, leading to a denial of bail and rigorous imprisonment in jail for the person who trades or consumes it, an NCB officer said.
NCB's deputy DG Singh said the latest seizure of about 15,000 LSD blots is 2,500 times of the commercial quantity.
He said the LSD seized by them was sourced from Poland and the Netherlands and this syndicate was trafficking it across various states by taking payments through cryptocurrency and UPI, and the contraband was shipped through couriers and postal networks.
The NCB, the officials said, is trying to freeze the crypto funds too. &nbsp;"The suppliers and consumers intercepted by us had no personal interaction and every contact was on the darknet," Singh said.
He said the operation was undertaken by a special team of the Delhi zonal unit of the federal anti-narcotics agency after they "patrolled" the darknet for many hours.
Darknet refers to the deep hidden internet platform that is used for narcotics sale, exchange of pornographic content and other illegal activities by using the secret alleys of the onion router (ToR) to stay away from the surveillance of law enforcement agencies. &nbsp;Apart from the LSD blots, 2.32 kgs of ganja and Rs 4.65 lakh cash have been seized while bank deposits worth Rs 20 lakh have been frozen, the deputy DG said.
NCB zonal director (Delhi) Gyanendra Kumar Singh said those arrested are mostly educated and are young.
"One is a student who is from Goa but enrolled at a private university in Noida, another is a Delhi boy who was trying to send some of these blots to Kashmir and a girl who has been arrested from the NCR," the zonal director said.
A supplier based in Jaipur and a man from Kerala have also been arrested, he said.

The seizure, as per officials, is estimated to be worth over Rs 10 crore in the international market (about Rs 5K-7K per blot) and all the six who have been taken into custody, beginning late last month, are students and youngsters who wanted to make "easy money" by remaining anonymous within the deep layers of secret internet-based apps and messenger service like WICKR.
LSD or lysergic acid diethylamide is a synthetic chemical based-drug and is categorised as a hallucinogen. It is trafficked by painting it on blots, half the size of a stamp paper, and is consumed by licking or swallowing.
"This is the "largest-ever" seizure of LSD blots in the country in a single operation. Six youngsters have been arrested till now and we are on the trail of one more such cartel," NCB deputy director general (northern region) Gyaneshwar Singh told reporters here.
Those arrested are in the age group of 25-28 years, the officials said.
A total of 14,961 blots were seized as part of the about two-week long operation and the blots are of "gammagoblin and holy spirit of asura" brand, Singh said.
The deputy DG further said that till now, the highest seizure of LSD was 5,000 blots by the Karnataka Police during the entire span of 2021 and about a similar amount of blots by the Kolkata NCB in 2022 in a single operation. &nbsp;LSD abuse is largely prevalent among youngsters and it can lead to serious health issues, Singh said.
