The Chhattisgarh Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) acted swiftly, arresting Suresh Chandrakar in Hyderabad. Alongside him, three more individuals—Ritesh Chandrakar, Mukesh’s cousin; Dinesh, a relative; and Mahendra Ramteke, a contractor employee—were taken into custody.
