Actor Anupam Kher was just as surprised as the rest of us when he found out that scammers used counterfeit ₹500 notes with his face on them to con a gold trader out of a whopping ₹1.3 crore!

The victim, gold trader Mehul Thakkar, was duped by these fake notes. He immediately filed a police complaint, and now, law enforcement is working hard to track down the culprits using CCTV footage.
