Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra brings a huge AMOLED screen, powerful performance and DeX productivity. But is it worth ₹1.5 lakh?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Review: A Solid Laptop Alternative?

<h3>The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra pairs a massive AMOLED display, flagship performance and DeX productivity tools to make a serious case as Android&rsquo;s best laptop-style tablet.</h3>

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the kind of device that makes you stop for a second when you first take it out of the box. That 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is enormous, but I quickly found that it does not feel excessive. Watching a film, jumping between documents or editing a few photos all feel far nicer on this canvas. And once you bring in the bundled S Pen, Dimensity 9500 chipset and Samsung DeX, it starts behaving less like a regular tablet and more like a compact workstation.
But it costs proper laptop money. The 256GB Wi-Fi variant starts at ₹1,49,999, while the 256GB 5G version costs ₹1,64,999. With the Pro Keyboard Folio, the bill climbs even higher.
Samsung is clearly pitching this as more than a big screen for Netflix. It is the most ambitious Android tablet you can buy and one of the few that can make an iPad Pro buyer pause. I wanted to see whether it can actually replace a premium thin-and-light laptop.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab S12&nbsp;Ultra Review: Design</h2>
Samsung has stuck with a familiar look for the Tab S12 Ultra, but it is still a seriously impressive bit of hardware. At 5.1mm thin, it is less than half as thick as many premium 14-inch laptops, yet it still holds a 14.6-inch display, an 11,600mAh battery and a quad-speaker setup. At 692g, it is not light in the usual tablet sense, but it feels fair for something this size. The body is rigid, premium and reassuringly well put together, with Enhanced Armor Aluminium around the frame and rear, tidy antenna lines and two understated camera rings. You can buy it in Gray or Silver, and its IP68 rating gives it an edge over most pricey tablets.
The screen is the obvious visual showstopper here. Samsung has paired the slim body with 5.2mm bezels, so the 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel looks almost edge-to-edge on a desk or inside the optional keyboard case. Even the small notch on the longer edge fades into the background while I am watching a film.
Still, those bezels are where practicality takes a hit. I found one-handed use nearly impossible because there is barely any room to hold it without triggering the screen. Propping it against my body was the only comfortable way to manage it. A touch of more bezel would have made daily handling easier without spoiling the look.
The under-display optical fingerprint scanner is quick and reliable. Samsung has also kept the rest sensible: four speakers, a USB-C port on the short edge and rear pogo pins for the Pro Keyboard. The 5G model adds nano-SIM and eSIM support, otherwise you get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and a dedicated microSD slot across the board
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Display</h2>
The display is where the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra really makes its case. This 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel has a 1,848 x 2,960-pixel resolution, and it feels much closer to carrying a premium portable monitor than a conventional tablet. It is sharp and great for films, video timelines, photos and long documents.
That size also changes how useful Samsung&rsquo;s software feels. DeX finally has room to breathe, and I could keep a browser, notes app and document open at once without constantly resizing windows or losing track of what I was doing. Even outside DeX, the regular tablet interface handles split-screen work far better than most Android tablets. This is one of the few screens that makes the laptop-replacement pitch feel believable.
The panel is excellent. Colours are rich but do not look overcooked, blacks are properly deep and the adaptive 120Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling, sketching and app-switching feeling silky. HDR10+ shows look fantastic here, with loads of contrast and punch, while the quad speakers make it easy to get lost in a film without reaching for headphones.
Samsung rates the panel at 1,000 nits in high-brightness mode and 1,600 nits at peak. I had no trouble using it outdoors. You can still see reflections on a glossy OLED, of course, but far less than I expected on a screen this large.
The 14.42:9 aspect ratio is great for video and multitasking. The small camera notch along the longer edge remains my one annoyance. It is not a deal-breaker, but it is unnecessary on an otherwise brilliant display.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Cameras &amp; Speakers</h2>
Samsung has fitted the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 12MP front camera. The rear pair are useful for scans, reference pictures and the occasional share, but nobody is buying a ₹1.5 lakh tablet for them. In daylight, the main camera gives you punchy colours and decent dynamic range, although fine detail is only average. The ultra-wide handles wider frames, but is nothing special.
The 12MP front camera matters much more. Its broad view works well for video calls, especially when I used the tablet in landscape with the keyboard attached. Both it and the main rear camera can record 4K video.
The quad speakers are what really impress. They get loud, sound full and have enough bass to give films and music some presence. Paired with the enormous OLED panel, they make this an excellent tablet for shows, films and music.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Review: Performance</h2>
Samsung has given the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra the sort of hardware its price demands. It runs on MediaTek&rsquo;s 3nm Dimensity 9500 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM on the 256GB and 512GB models. It is a clear jump over the Dimensity 9400+, with Samsung claiming 19% faster CPU performance, a 17% GPU gain and a 61% boost in NPU performance.
In day-to-day use, it feels properly quick. Apps open immediately, DeX windows move around without hesitation and I never managed to make it feel overwhelmed while running browsers, documents, streaming and image-editing apps together.&nbsp;
Even with a video playing in a corner, the interface stayed responsive. Samsung has also fitted a larger vapour chamber, which matters because this tablet is designed to be used for longer, heavier sessions. This is flagship performance without fuss. It feels confident all the time.
Our benchmarks reflect that. The Tab S12 Ultra scored 3,483,951 in AnTuTu v12, including 1,113,919 for the CPU and 1,262,951 for the GPU. In Geekbench 7, it returned 2,770 in single-core and 9,445 in multi-core. Those are excellent results for an Android tablet, particularly one pushing a display this large and sharp.
The 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stress test was reassuring too. It started with a best loop score of 6,682 and settled at 4,852, producing 72.6% stability. More importantly, the tablet stayed comfortably cool during the test.
Gaming is no trouble either. BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile run with great ease, and I enjoyed playing them far more here than on a phone. The enormous OLED panel and quad speakers make the whole experience feel genuinely immersive.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Software</h2>
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra runs Android 17 with One UI 9, and Samsung promises seven major OS upgrades. For a ₹1.5 lakh tablet, that long support window is reassuring.
In regular tablet mode, One UI is polished, familiar and very good at using the massive display. Split-screen apps, floating windows and the taskbar make good use of the big screen. The supplied S Pen fits into that setup. I used it for quick notes, screenshots and annotations, then moved between Samsung Notes, a browser and a document without losing my flow.
DeX remains the reason to consider Samsung over other Android tablets. Switch it on and the Tab S12 Ultra gets much closer to a desktop layout, with resizable windows, a taskbar, keyboard shortcuts and proper pointer support. With the optional Pro Keyboard attached, it is the nearest any Android tablet gets to a laptop-style workflow. Wireless DeX is useful too, especially if you want to put a presentation or browser window on a bigger display.
Samsung has also packed One UI 9 with AI features, including Gemini, Circle to Search, Drawing Assist, AI Select, Now Brief and Now Nudge. Creative Studio can turn a rough sketch or text prompt into a more polished piece of artwork. Some of these tools will naturally see more use than others, but they make more sense on a big screen with an S Pen.
The laptop question does not disappear completely. DeX is excellent, but Android still lacks the depth of Windows or macOS for specialist applications. For writing, browsing, media work and everyday multitasking, though, I found it gets remarkably close.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Accessories</h2>
Samsung includes the S Pen with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, and that immediately makes the package feel more complete than rival premium tablets. It is responsive for notes, annotations, sketches and navigation. The magnetic attachment keeps it handy. It is a passive stylus, so there is no battery to charge or Bluetooth remote controls to learn.
The optional Pro Keyboard is the accessory that tests Samsung&rsquo;s laptop promise. At ₹27,999, it is expensive, but it adds backlit six-row keys, a large trackpad and an adjustable rear stand. It connects through pogo pins, so it feels secure and works the moment it is attached.
I found the keys pleasant for long writing sessions, with enough travel and feedback to avoid the cramped-tablet-keyboard feeling. The trackpad is comfortable for hours of browsing and document work. Turn on DeX and this is what makes the Tab S12 Ultra feel closest to a laptop.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Battery</h2>
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra packs an enormous 11,600mAh battery, and the stamina matches its size. I got through a full workday using DeX, Chrome, writing apps, streaming and gaming, with enough charge left for the evening. On a lighter day, getting past a day should be easy.
Charging is the weaker bit. Samsung supports 45W wired charging but does not include the power adapter in the box. You only get a 3A USB-C cable, so you will need a compatible charger of your own.
I used a third-party 70W GaN charger and still needed about two hours for a full top-up. Given the battery size, that is not awful, but it feels slow next to premium laptops and rival tablets.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Tab&nbsp;S12 Ultra Review: Verdict</h2>
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has one job: be the Android tablet for people who do not want to compromise. For most, it does.
It is the most complete Android tablet. The huge AMOLED display is excellent, performance is powerful, the included S Pen is useful, and DeX plus the Pro Keyboard makes a convincing workspace. I could use it for writing, web work, video calls, streaming, note-taking and light creative tasks.
Then comes the bill. The Wi-Fi tablet and Pro Keyboard together cost ₹1,77,998, without a charger. Choose the 5G model and that rises to ₹1,92,998. At this price, a premium thin-and-light laptop gives you more ports, more software and fewer limitations with specialist apps, especially on x86.
But a laptop cannot match this flexibility. The Tab S12 Ultra is a brilliant 14.6-inch OLED tablet, a productivity machine, a creative canvas and a superb entertainment device. It also offers the S Pen, optional 5G and IP68 protection. It is very expensive, but for the right user, I think it remains a persuasive laptop alternative.

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max earns its ₹1,79,900 price with exceptional battery life, powerful sustained performance, standout cameras and improved Siri AI.

iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Apple’s Serious iPhone

The iPhone 18 Pro Max is huge and expensive, but its battery, cameras and performance make a persuasive case.

iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: The Serious iPhone

<h3>The iPhone 18 Pro Max brings exceptional battery life, sustained A20 Pro performance, versatile cameras and stronger Siri AI, making its high price easier to justify.</h3>

Apple&rsquo;s iPhone 18 Pro Max arrives at a peculiar moment for the company. Apple is adjusting to life after Tim Cook, with John Ternus now at the helm; component prices, particularly for memory and storage, have climbed sharply; and the company has launched the iPhone Duo, its first foldable, which has understandably become the conversation starter.
That leaves the 18 Pro Max in an unusual position. It is arguably Apple&rsquo;s most capable handset yet, but its biggest achievement is not its headline. The Duo is the bold new direction. The Pro Max is the phone that does the serious work.
For buyers who demand one device for shooting, editing, gaming, travel, work and everything in between, this remains the iPhone I would choose. It starts at ₹1,79,900 for 256GB, ₹20,000 above last year&rsquo;s entry point, so the price needs a real case behind it.
Thankfully, Apple has not relied on a faster chip alone. A reworked camera system, better heat management, a larger battery and more useful Siri AI give it genuine substance. The 18 Pro Max remains a large, weighty and very expensive phone. But it feels like a Pro model designed for people who will actually push it.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Design</h2>
Apple has not redesigned the iPhone 18 Pro Max, nor was I expecting it to. The current Pro shape is set to stay for another cycle or two, so anyone waiting for a fresh silhouette will need to hold out for the iPhone 20.
What you notice immediately is the size of the thing. With a 6.9-inch screen, 8.8mm body and a 249g weight, this is the largest and heaviest iPhone Apple has made. Even with large hands, I found it unwieldy at times.&nbsp;
Put it in a sturdy third-party case and it comes alarmingly close to 300g. You notice that weight in a pocket, during long calls and, eventually, on your wrist. Unless the larger screen is essential, I would suggest smaller-handed buyers go for the standard iPhone 18 Pro.
Some of the weight has a purpose. The larger battery and vapour chamber, which is roughly three times bigger than before, need space. I am happy to make that trade-off.
The in-hand feel of the phone though, however, is superb. Apple continues with an aluminium unibody, pairing Ceramic Shield 2 on the front with a matching Ceramic Shield rear panel over the MagSafe area. The familiar controls remain well placed: Action button, volume keys and SIM tray sit on the left, while the Side button and Camera Control are on the right. IP68 protection covers six metres of water for 30 minutes.
Burgundy is of course the colour of the year, but Black would be my pick. It is wonderfully deep and makes the phone look almost monolithic. Do keep in mind, both it and Burgundy are fingerprint magnets, though. All in all, the 18 Pro Max is beautifully built and undeniably premium.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Display And Audio</h2>
The iPhone 18 Pro Max retains the 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel from its predecessor. In practice, it remains a fantastic screen: 460ppi sharpness, adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz and enough brightness to stay comfortably visible when Delhi&rsquo;s afternoon sun is at its worst.
There are Android flagships with flashier refresh figures, higher claimed peak brightness and resolution or a wider colour gamut. That does not make this display any less convincing. After a month of using the phone, I have no real complaint with it. It is among the best because it gets the basics right, every time.
Colours have plenty of richness without appearing artificially boosted. Netflix shows in Dolby Vision look excellent, with controlled highlights and enough detail in darker scenes that they do not collapse into grey mush. The anti-reflective treatment is genuinely useful outdoors too. It may not be the most attention-grabbing panel in the category, but it is consistently brilliant.
Apple has reduced the Dynamic Island on the 18 Pro models by roughly 35%. Part of the Face ID hardware now sits under the display and slightly to the left. If you look closely, there is a tiny reduction in pixel density around that area. But it is invisible in ordinary use. I could only find it by angling the phone precisely under the right light. Apple has done an impressive job masking the change.
The stereo speakers are excellent as well. They are loud, stay clear at higher volumes and deliver more bass than expected. Whether I was watching YouTube at my desk or an episode in bed, I rarely felt the need to reach for earphones.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Performance</h2>
The A20 Pro gives the iPhone 18 Pro Max more than a routine annual speed bump. Built on 2nm, it is also much better at sustaining its performance under load.
The chip combines a six-core CPU and seven-core GPU with a Neural Engine that has double the core count of the A19 Pro. It has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 50% more memory bandwidth. A vapour chamber around three times larger than the one in the iPhone 17 Pro Max also manages heat better.
It feels exceptionally responsive. Apps launch immediately, the camera opens without hesitation and iOS 27&rsquo;s more demanding visual effects do not cause stutters. In my tests, AnTuTu returned 3,527,133. Geekbench 7 produced 4,031 in single-core and 11,481 in multi-core testing. Those are laptop-class figures, closer to a MacBook Air than a conventional phone.
Graphics performance is equally emphatic. In 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the phone managed 79.2% stability, dropping from 8,202 points to 6,499. The more relevant result is that it never felt strained afterwards, even after a demanding stress test.
That becomes obvious with AAA console ports. Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding both ran brilliantly, with rapid loading, excellent image quality and reliably smooth performance at high settings. If the 18 Pro Max can manage games of that scope so comfortably, BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile are hardly going to worry it.
The phone will become warm under sustained pressure, but its thermal control is far better than the iPhone 17 Pro Max&rsquo;s. I never felt serious throttling or the uncomfortable heat that suggests a device is overworking.
The A20 Pro should also have plenty left in reserve for future Apple Intelligence features. Geekbench AI returned 6,942 in single precision, 40,080 in half precision and 52,864 in quantised tests for the NPU. The GPU was faster again, but the NPU numbers point to robust on-device AI capability for years to come.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Cameras</h2>
Apple has made one meaningful change to the iPhone 18 Pro Max camera system. The primary 48MP Fusion camera now has a six-blade variable aperture, adjustable from f/1.48 to f/4.0. It gives the photographer greater say over incoming light and depth of field.
The remaining hardware is familiar: a 48MP ultra-wide, 48MP 4x telephoto and an 18MP Centre Stage front camera. Do not expect a wholesale leap in raw image quality from the main camera. Instead, the new aperture changes the mood of an image or clip. Auto works for most, but it is worth taking manual control and experimenting.
Apple&rsquo;s image science remains a major strength. Shots of people, flowers and close subjects came out beautifully, while background separation appears more believable even before Portrait mode is involved. The 13mm ultra-wide is dependable for sweeping views and tight interiors, including after dark. I found myself returning most often to the telephoto, though. It delivers excellent portraits, useful reach and an 8x optical-quality crop that is far more usable than I expected. Centre Stage continues to be excellent for selfies, group frames and front-facing video.
The overall processing is also pleasingly restrained. HDR is controlled, colours lean warm, and shadows avoid the aggressively bright look that has become common on rival flagships. Personally, I prefer this approach to Oppo and Vivo&rsquo;s processing.
Photographic Styles have grown into a genuinely useful creative tool. Beyond changing colour, they let you adjust tone, warmth, contrast, texture and grain, making it possible to create an individual look without making every photo resemble a forced vintage filter.
Video remains Apple&rsquo;s clearest camera advantage. It is sharp, stabilised exceptionally well and consistent across the lenses. Tracking is notably better this year, while 4K at 120fps from the main camera and proper manual controls make this one of the most capable phones for creators working right now.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Software</h2>
iOS 27 is not a dramatic visual departure if you have used iOS 26. Apple showed off most of its new ideas at WWDC. Liquid Glass now lets you adjust its transparency, which I prefer keeping low.
The Dynamic Island can now display three Live Activities simultaneously, up from two. Apple has also built more provenance into its imaging tools. SynthID will identify AI-generated or AI-edited images, while Reference Image mode keeps a sensor-level, tamper-proof original alongside the finished photograph in Photos. One helps identify altered imagery; the other records what the camera actually captured.
But Siri AI is the reason this release feels important. This is the version of Apple Intelligence I had been waiting for. Siri is faster, more natural in conversation and much more aware of what is on-screen. It can draw context from Messages, Mail, Photos and other apps, understand a follow-up question and retain the thread instead of forcing you to repeat yourself.
You can speak to it naturally, ask it to interpret the screen, search the web or continue an interaction from another device. For once, Siri feels genuinely useful rather than a fragile voice-command shortcut.
The A20 Pro plays an important role here. Straightforward requests are handled on the phone, while more complex work is routed through Private Cloud Compute. Apple has also expanded its photo-edit.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Battery</h2>
The iPhone 18 Pro Max needs a few days to settle. Mine spent four to five days learning my habits, indexing apps and settling Apple Intelligence.
This is the best endurance I have seen from an iPhone in years. Even with an Indian model that retains its SIM tray, it comfortably covered demanding workdays involving calls, navigation, camera use, social media, email and gaming, often leaving enough charge to skip an overnight top-up. Lighter weekends easily extended into a second day.
Wired charging is much quicker too. Using a compatible 60W adapter, I reached 50% in 15 minutes, about 80% in 30 minutes and full charge in roughly 50 minutes. MagSafe remains a great convenience: 25W Qi2 reaches 50% in around half an hour.
<h2>iPhone 18 Pro Max Review: Verdict</h2>
Priced at ₹1,79,900 for the 256GB model, the iPhone 18 Pro Max asks for ₹20,000 more than the previous generation did. That is a serious increase, even for Apple. Yet flagship prices have climbed this year, often without delivering a persuasive upgrade.
This is not a phone I would recommend indiscriminately. It is enormous, heavy and much happier in two hands. Unless you specifically want the larger display and endurance, the standard iPhone 18 Pro is the sensible choice for most buyers.
But the Pro Max is the one I would choose. Its screen is superb, the battery life is exceptional, the cameras are excellent, and video remains hard to beat. More importantly, the A20 Pro has performance to spare, while the improved cooling lets it maintain that advantage when pushed.
The variable-aperture camera adds creative control, and Siri AI finally seems worthy of Apple&rsquo;s promise. Add the ecosystem and long support, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the serious iPhone to get. It is expensive, but unusually good at making its price feel earned.

The Asus Vivobook S16 packs a 16-inch 144Hz display, Intel Core 7 350, an all-metal body and up to 9 hours of battery life. Is it worth ₹1,13,990?

Asus Vivobook S16 Review: 144Hz Display, Core 7 350, Battery Life

With a 144Hz IPS display, Intel Core 7 350 processor, 16GB RAM and a lightweight metal design, the Asus Vivobook S16 promises practical everyday performance. Here’s how it fares in our review.

Asus Vivobook S16 Review: A Sensible 16-Inch Laptop for Work?

The Asus Vivobook S16 combines a 16-inch 144Hz display, Intel Core 7 350 performance and solid battery life in a lightweight metal body, making it a practical productivity laptop at ₹1,13,990.

The Asus Vivobook S16 arrives at a slightly awkward time for laptop buyers. A few months ago, a budget of around ₹1 lakh could buy you a fairly well-rounded Windows machine. Today, rising prices have made 8GB RAM, average displays and plastic bodies feel far too common.
That is why this Vivobook is worth a closer look.
Asus lists it at 1,85,990, but that figure is hard to justify. ASUS is currently selling it for ₹1,13,990, and that is the number that matters. At that price, you get a 16-inch 144Hz display, an all-metal body, 16GB LPDDR5X memory, 512GB of PCIe 4.0 storage and Intel&rsquo;s Core 7 350 processor.
It is not an OLED-toting premium ultrabook, nor is it a laptop for gamers or serious creators. Instead, the Vivobook S16 is aimed at people who need a large screen, decent portability and enough power to get through a demanding day of work, study and entertainment.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Design</h2>
Most 16-inch laptops are built to stay on a desk. The Asus Vivobook S16 is different. It has the screen space of a larger work machine, but at 1.5kg and between 15.8mm and 16.9mm thick, it is still practical enough to carry to work, class or a caf&eacute;.
The all-metal chassis goes a long way here. It gives the laptop a cleaner, more premium feel than the plastic-heavy machines that usually populate this segment. The design is not trying to grab attention. There is no dramatic lid pattern or gamer styling. In Matte Gray, especially, it looks neat, understated and easy to use in a professional setting.
I also like that ASUS has not sacrificed connectivity to keep the body thin. There are two USB-A ports for older accessories, two USB-C ports that support charging and display output, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You can connect a monitor, a mouse and external storage without immediately reaching for a hub.
There are two caveats. The USB-C ports are limited to 5Gbps and do not support Thunderbolt, while an SD card reader would have been useful for photographers and creators. The display also has a little movement if you nudge the desk, though it settles quickly and never became an issue during normal use.
The screen is the reason to consider the Vivobook S16 in the first place. A 16-inch panel changes how you use a laptop. Two documents can sit side by side without feeling cramped, spreadsheets are easier to navigate, and a long editing timeline does not feel squeezed into a tiny window.
ASUS uses a 1920x1200 IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB colour coverage and a variable refresh rate that goes up to 144Hz. It is not the sharpest panel you can get at this size, but the resolution is sensible for the hardware. Text looks clean, images have enough detail, and the lower resolution is easier on the integrated graphics than a 2.8K or 3K screen would be.
The 144Hz refresh rate is a nice extra. It does not transform this into a gaming laptop, but scrolling, moving windows and browsing feel smoother than they do on a conventional 60Hz machine. I also found the screen pleasant for watching Netflix and Prime Video. Colours look lively, viewing angles are good, and the anti-glare coating helps with reflections.
Of course, it is still an IPS LCD display. It cannot match an OLED panel for contrast, deep blacks or that extra visual punch in dark scenes. But similarly specified 16-inch OLED laptops tend to cost much more. The 300-nit brightness is sufficient indoors, though working outside in harsh daylight is not ideal.
For a laptop positioned around ₹1.14 lakh, this is a well-judged display. It is big, colour-accurate, smooth and useful for far more than just watching videos.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Webcam And Speakers</h2>
The Vivobook S16 is better equipped for calls than many laptops in this class. Its full-HD camera is paired with an IR sensor, so you can use Windows Hello to sign in by simply opening the lid. It recognised me reliably and saves the small irritation of passwords every morning.
ASUS also gives the camera a few useful software tools. Automatic framing keeps you centred, eye-contact correction makes calls look less awkward, while background blur and 3D noise reduction help when the room behind you is not ideal. The image is clear enough under normal indoor lighting, though fine detail quickly disappears in a dim room. It is made for meetings, not for filming content.
Audio is less impressive. The built-in speakers deliver clear dialogue for calls and are fine for a quick YouTube video, but they lack low-end weight and sound thin once you turn the volume up. Use headphones for films, music or longer gaming sessions.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Keyboard And Trackpad</h2>
ASUS has used the S16&rsquo;s wider frame well. The keyboard is properly spacious, with a dedicated number pad and full-sized arrow keys, rather than the shrunken controls often found on slimmer Windows laptops. That makes a bigger difference than it sounds, especially if your day involves spreadsheets, accounts or long document work.
I found the keys easy to settle into. They are well spaced, the layout does not need much adjustment, and the keys have enough travel and feedback for long writing sessions. It is not the kind of keyboard that immediately makes you throw away an external one, but it is comfortable enough that I never felt desperate to plug one in.
The large precision touchpad is equally practical. It offers enough space for Windows&rsquo; multi-finger gestures, tracks accurately and has consistent clicks. ASUS also lets you control volume, brightness and video playback through touchpad edge gestures. They are optional, but useful after you get used to them.
If you need a basic mouse for the Vivobook S16, <a title="Asus Pad T3201 Review: OLED Brilliance Meets Everyday Mid-Range Power" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/asus-pad-t3201-review-oled-brilliance-meets-everyday-mid-range-power-1791542899609" target="_blank">ASUS</a>&rsquo; MW103 is worth considering. The Green Tea Latte version is quite easy on the eyes, while the ₹599 price tag makes it an inexpensive accessory rather than an extra purchase to overthink.
At 45g, it is very light and slips easily into a bag. Its optical sensor goes up to 1,600 DPI, and I found tracking reliable for everyday browsing, document work and light editing. It is not built for gaming or precision creative work, but it does its job well.
It connects through a USB-A receiver, not Bluetooth. That means it occupies one of the Vivobook&rsquo;s USB-A ports, which could matter if you already use wired accessories.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Performance</h2>
The Core 7 350 is not Intel&rsquo;s most exciting laptop processor, but it is a sensible fit for the Vivobook S16. It is a six-core, six-thread chip that can boost to 4.8GHz, and ASUS gives it a 30W power budget in this machine. Paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, the result is a laptop that feels quick with the sort of workloads most people actually have.
Think dozens of browser tabs, Microsoft Office, research, music, photo edits, messaging apps and video calls running at once. I did not run into stutters or long waits while moving between those tasks. The SSD helps here too, with applications and files loading quickly.
There is one limitation worth flagging. The RAM is soldered onto the motherboard, so 16GB is all you will ever have. ASUS does not state the memory speed either. That is not a problem for normal work today, but users planning to keep the laptop for many years or run heavier creative workloads should keep it in mind.
The benchmark results reflect this. The Vivobook S16 posted 2,316 in Geekbench 7&rsquo;s single-core test and 7,782 in multi-core. Cinebench 2026 scores were 470 and 1,668, respectively. It also managed 7,357 in PCMark 10, which is a strong overall result for a productivity-focused Windows laptop.
CrossMark offers a clearer picture of where it is strongest: 1,498 overall, 1,526 in productivity, 1,544 in creativity and 1,294 in responsiveness. This is more than enough power for office work, web research, simple image work and shorter video edits.
There is also a 17 TOPS NPU for smaller on-device AI tasks. Do not expect local image generation or large models, but it supports camera enhancements such as background blur, noise reduction, automatic framing and eye-contact correction without constantly taxing the main processor.
Gaming is possible, but only with lighter titles. Valorant was playable at 1080p, and Dota 2 or Rocket League should be fine too. The Geekbench GPU scores of 11,399 in Vulkan and 12,285 in OpenCL are respectable for integrated graphics. AAA gaming, however, is better left to GeForce NOW or a laptop with a dedicated GPU.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Battery</h2>
The Vivobook S16 does not carry a massive battery. Its 52.5Wh cell sounds modest on a laptop with a 16-inch, 144Hz screen, so I was not expecting much. In practice, though, it held up better than expected.
With my usual mix of writing, web research, Google Docs, music, messaging, a few videos and plenty of browser tabs, I managed roughly eight to nine hours of screen-on time. That is enough to leave the charger at home for a regular workday, provided you are not spending the entire day on video calls.
The display and your settings matter a lot. Running the screen at full brightness or 144Hz, along with long Teams or Zoom calls, will bring battery life down faster. If you are travelling, lowering the refresh rate is an easy way to stretch it further.
Charging is handled through a compact 48W USB-C adapter. ASUS claims 60 per cent in 49 minutes, and USB-C Power Delivery means a compatible monitor or phone charger can also keep the laptop going.
<h2>Asus Vivobook S16 Review: Verdict</h2>
The Asus Vivobook S16 makes the most sense when you ignore its ₹1,85,990 MRP and look at its actual ₹1,13,990 selling price. At that figure, it is a well-rounded large-screen Windows laptop with fewer obvious compromises than many rivals.
Its strongest feature is not the processor or the 144Hz display on their own. It is how the package comes together. You get a portable 1.5kg all-metal body, a big colour-accurate 16:10 screen, useful connectivity, a good keyboard, 16GB RAM and performance that comfortably handles everyday work. It is an easy laptop to recommend to students, office users, writers, researchers and anyone who spends long days juggling documents, browser tabs and video calls.
It also has enough headroom for photo editing, short video projects and lighter 1080p games. Battery life is good enough for a day away from a socket, while USB-C charging makes it easier to manage on the move.
The compromises are clear. The RAM cannot be upgraded, the screen is IPS rather than OLED, speakers are average, and serious gamers should look elsewhere. The NPU is useful for small background tasks, not serious local AI work.
Still, if a large display and practical everyday performance matter more than gaming credentials or OLED bragging rights, the Vivobook S16 is a sensible buy at its current price.

Asus Pad T3201 review: Explore its 12.2-inch 144Hz 2.8K OLED display, Dimensity 8300 chip, battery life, performance and current India pricing.

Asus Pad T3201 Review: 144Hz OLED Display, Performance and Battery

The Asus Pad T3201 packs a 12.2-inch 144Hz 2.8K OLED display, quad speakers and a 9,000mAh battery. Here is how it performs in everyday use, gaming and multitasking.

Asus Pad T3201 Review: Is Its OLED Display Worth the Price?

The Asus Pad T3201 offers a stunning 144Hz OLED display, powerful speakers and reliable battery life, but dated software and limited multitasking hold it back.

Try shopping around for an Android slate in the ₹45,000 ballpark, and the monotony hits you immediately. It feels like every brand serves the exact same dish: metal casing, unremarkable LCD, and just enough silicon grunt to slide by. Asus wants to disrupt that playbook with the Pad T3201.
The star of the show sits right out front. Packing a 12.2-inch 144Hz 2.8K OLED screen into this price bracket makes you double-check the spec sheet. It originally landed on shelves at ₹43,990 for the 8GB + 128GB version. Right now, though, Asus India&rsquo;s own web store has slashed that base configuration to ₹35,990, with the 256GB step-up sitting at ₹38,990.
On paper, that panel at that price makes it an effortless recommendation for binge-watchers. Then again, a stellar screen does not automatically guarantee a great device. I spent three full weeks putting the Pad through its paces, jotting notes, streaming video past midnight, and carrying it everywhere to see if the rest of the experience actually keeps pace.
<h2>Design and Build Quality</h2>
Pulling the <a title="Asus Wireless Mouse MD105 Review: Comfortable Mouse for Everyday Work" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/asus-wireless-mouse-md105-review-comfortable-mouse-for-everyday-work-1790070644712" target="_blank">Asus </a>Pad out of the box, its in-hand feel immediately stood out. On paper, a 12.2-inch slab measuring 6.5mm in thickness and tipping the scales at 523g might seem hefty, yet the balance across the chassis is executed brilliantly. I routinely spent hours reading long-form articles in bed without dealing with any wrist fatigue or finger cramps.
The tablet comes exclusively in a Pure White finish. While pale gadgets usually attract grime, this one proved surprisingly resilient during my testing. Unlike dark slate slates that turn into greasy fingerprint magnets almost right away, this matte shell stayed remarkably neat. The texture feels soft to the touch, and the frame shows zero creaks or structural flex even when gripped firmly.
A major highlight here is the dedicated microSD slot with support for up to 1TB cards. For anyone carrying heavy offline media files or bulky work documents, expanding capacity without paying for a higher storage trim is a massive practical win.
Around the edges, you will find a snappy USB 3.0 Type-C port that can output video to an external display, though wired audio fans will have to do without a 3.5mm jack. My biggest daily gripe centers on security: Asus omitted a physical fingerprint reader entirely. The front-facing 2D facial recognition handles daylight reasonably well, but as soon as the sun sets, you are left manually punching in your passcode every single time.
<h2>Display and Audio Performance</h2>
Let&rsquo;s be honest: the primary reason to pick up this tablet is the display.
Up front sits a 12.2-inch tandem OLED touchscreen with a sharp 2.8K resolution and a fluid 144Hz refresh rate. It adopts a taller 3:2 aspect ratio, hits 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, and pushes 600 nits in standard use alongside a staggering 2,000 nits peak HDR brightness.
It genuinely ruined other screens in this category for me. After reviewing countless bland LCDs in this segment, streaming movies here was a treat. Watching in dark rooms reveals perfect ink-like blacks, so letterboxing blends seamlessly into the shadows. You get zero backlight bleed around text, and the dynamic range gives visuals serious punch.
There is, however, one weird quirk worth noting. YouTube renders HDR clips with eye-searing brightness, yet Netflix failed to trigger HDR streaming during my time with the unit.
Even capped at standard dynamic range, movies looked far more vibrant than on competing slates. That taller 3:2 canvas also pays dividends for split-screen workflows and browsing web pages. You do get glare on the glossy glass under direct sunlight, but the backlighting has enough brute force to remain legible.
Sound output holds up its end of the bargain. The quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos sounds surprisingly full. Rather than the harsh, tinny noise typical of most mobile speakers pushed to high volumes, these deliver legitimate bass presence. Movie trailers retained crisp vocal tracks without drowning out meaty low-end rumbles during action sequences. For casual streaming around the flat, I almost never bothered pairing Bluetooth buds.
<h2>Performance and Gaming</h2>
Naturally, my biggest question going in was how the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 would fare under pressure. For day-to-day work, it never choked on me. I spent entire afternoons swapping between Slack channels, digging through messy research tabs, taking calls, and typing into Google Docs in split view. Everything ran as expected.
The synthetic runs paint an honest picture. In AnTuTu, the slate put up 1,678,161 points. Over on Geekbench 7, I clocked 1,132 in the single-core test and 4,006 on the multi-core pass. Putting it through the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stress test yielded a high score of 3,068 with 90.8 per cent stability. Respectable tallies for web browsing and multitasking, but you definitely aren't getting flagship-grade muscle here.
Real gaming told a similar story. An hour-long session of Call of Duty: Mobile stayed consistently smooth, and the broad metal frame kept my hands from sweating. Try importing heavy 4K clips onto a video editing timeline, though, and you will run into stutter right away. Think of it as a dependable everyday machine, not a portable rig meant for competitive play or heavy production.
<h2>Software Experience</h2>
The software package is easily the weakest link on the Asus Pad. On the bright side, you get clean Android 16 right out of the box without annoying bloatware apps cluttering storage. The built-in Asus GlideX tool is genuinely handy, too. It let me pair the slate wirelessly as an extended laptop display, and dragging reference tabs over to the OLED panel worked like a charm.
Once you move past that, however, the UI feels stripped back. Even on modern Android 16, the iconography and layout look uninspired, almost like something out of an older tablet generation. More frustratingly, Asus skipped an official desktop mode and flexible floating windows. Anyone hoping to treat this 12.2-inch canvas like a mini laptop will find the rigid split-screen setup pretty limiting.
Future longevity is another sore spot. Asus has not spelled out its roadmap for OS version upgrades on this model, which makes holding onto it long term a bit of a gamble.
<h2>Battery Life and Charging</h2>
Keeping the lights on is a 9,000mAh pack. Lighting up a 12.2-inch 144Hz panel eats power, but the OLED layer does a solid job reining in unnecessary drain.
I put it through my usual daily grind of web reading, social feeds, typing docs, and two hours of video. Off the charger, it consistently gave me between 7.5 and 8.5 hours of screen-on time. That easily covers a full workday without battery anxiety, and it barely lost any charge sitting idle overnight.
Whenever it did tap out, the bundled 45W Type-C charger got it moving fast. Thirty minutes on the wire takes an empty battery to around 50 per cent, and hitting a full 100 per cent takes just about an hour and a half.
<h2>Cameras and Accessories</h2>
Let&rsquo;s face it, no one picks up a tablet expecting great photography, and the Asus Pad won&rsquo;t change your mind. Hardware is minimal here: a single 13MP shooter on the rear alongside a 5MP front lens. During my testing, the back lens handled the usual practical errands, mostly digitizing paper notes, grabbing textbook pages, and filing quick reference shots. The front camera gets the job done for routine Zoom calls, but bright light pouring in from my window blew out my skin tones immediately.
Asus wins points on retail packaging, though. Instead of forcing you to shop for protection right away, a foldable folio case comes straight out of the box. It folds into four useful viewing angles, sparing me from balancing the slab against a coffee cup while catching up on shows or jotting notes.
Touch input supports the Asus Pen 2.0 with 4,096 levels of pressure, but that stylus is sold separately. You won't find a first-party snap-on keyboard either, so anyone looking to type will need to pair a standard Bluetooth board.
<h2>Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?</h2>
After living with the Asus Pad for a few weeks, the conclusion is straightforward.
If you mainly want something for streaming movies in bed, browsing websites, and watching YouTube, the OLED display alone makes it worth every rupee. The infinite contrast, boisterous quad speakers, and expandable microSD slot make it a dream machine for video lovers. For pure content consumption, no rival LCD in the ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 range holds a candle to it.
Just don&rsquo;t purchase it hoping to ditch your laptop. The interface feels dated, true floating-window multitasking is missing, you get no first-party keyboard attachment, and future OS support remains an open question.
For sheer entertainment on the go, grab it without thinking twice. But if getting actual work done is the priority, look elsewhere.

Vivo V80 review: Explore its 7,200mAh battery, ZEISS cameras, 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and real-world performance.

Vivo V80 Review: 7,200mAh Battery, ZEISS Cameras and More

The Vivo V80 combines ZEISS-tuned cameras, a huge 7,200mAh battery and a premium design, but its gaming performance and software have some limitations.

Vivo V80 Review: Excellent Cameras, Huge Battery, Real Compromises

The Vivo V80 pairs excellent ZEISS cameras and a huge 7,200mAh battery with a premium design, but gaming performance, bloatware and limited 144Hz support hold it back.

The Vivo V80 has some big shoes to fill. The V70 was one of those phones that got the fundamentals right: it looked premium, took flattering portraits, had the endurance people actually wanted and never felt as though Vivo had cut too many corners. It was easy to recommend, which makes this follow-up a much tougher proposition.
Vivo has clearly tried to move the series upmarket with the V80. Its cameras are more ambitious, the 7,200mAh battery is enormous, and the design, display and durability have all moved forward. The trouble is the price. At ₹62,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, it costs far more than the V70 did. That is a serious ask in a market where phone prices have climbed quickly. The V80 needs to prove that it is not merely a costlier V-series phone, but a genuinely better one for buyers willing to stretch.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Design</h2>
The Vivo V80 does not rewrite Vivo&rsquo;s V-series design language, but it feels more grown-up than its predecessor. I tested the Horizon Blue version, which shifts between pale blue and green in the light. It gives the phone personality without becoming flashy. Sunrise Anthem and Stellar Black are the other choices, but neither has quite the same quiet charm.
Vivo has used a flat rear panel with rounded corners and an aerospace-grade aluminium frame around its 6.59-inch display. At 203g and 7.69mm, the V80 is not a compact phone, yet it is more comfortable to hold than those numbers suggest. The frame does not dig into your palm, the buttons feel firm, and typing with one hand is perfectly manageable. Vivo calls this its Golden Grip size. It is a slightly silly name, but the ergonomics are genuinely good.
The rear is where Vivo has made the bigger visual statement. Its raised, rounded-square camera island, made using sculpted glass, is clearly influenced by the <a title="iPhone 17 Review: Why the entry iPhone is now the one to get" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/iphone-17-review-why-the-entry-iphone-is-now-the-one-to-get-1759225187581" target="_blank">iPhone 17</a> Pro series, even if it stops short of being a copy. The metallic rings around the lenses make the module look more polished, particularly when they catch the light.
Vivo has not confirmed the kind of glass used on the front. I reckon it is Schott glass given Vivo&rsquo;s past devices, but take that with a pinch of salt.
Protection is stronger than the slim profile suggests. Alongside IP68 and IP69 ratings, the phone has SGS Whole-Device Drop Resistance Certification. It is a pretty useful certification to have, although that does not mean that you'll skip using a case.&nbsp;
Connectivity is comprehensive too, with dual nano-SIM 5G, eSIM, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and an IR blaster. The USB-C port is only USB 2.0, so large file transfers will take their time.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Display And Audio</h2>
The Vivo V80&rsquo;s display was one of the first things I noticed while using it. Its 6.59-inch AMOLED panel has a 2,750 &times; 1,260 resolution and a 459ppi pixel density, and that extra sharpness comes through in everyday use. I found text easy to read, even at smaller sizes, while photos and videos looked suitably crisp and colourful. There is enough room to watch something, reply to messages and keep another app open alongside it, without the phone becoming too wide or unwieldy.
Vivo advertises a 144Hz refresh rate, but there is more to the story. The regular interface is capped at 120Hz, and neither BGMI nor Call of Duty: Mobile would run at 144Hz when I tested them. It is possible that Vivo will add support for more games later, but that is not a feature I would factor into a buying decision today.&nbsp;
Thankfully, the V80 still feels very smooth at 120Hz. I had no complaints while scrolling through social media, switching between apps, or browsing longer articles.
I also spent a fair amount of time using the V80 outdoors, where its brightness really helped. Vivo quotes 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and 1,800 nits in high-brightness mode, and I could read the screen comfortably under a harsh afternoon sun.&nbsp;
The 1.07-billion-colour claim suggests 10-bit colour, though this is likely an 8-bit panel using FRC. Either way, the result looks good. Netflix and YouTube content has rich colours, strong contrast, and support for HDR10+ where available. At night, it can drop to 1 nit, which is far easier on the eyes.
The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner was quick and dependable for me, even with slightly damp fingers.
The balanced stereo speakers also did a good job with videos and games. They get loud, voices remain clear, and music has decent character. Bass is still limited, though, so do not expect miracles.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Cameras</h2>
The cameras remain the biggest reason I would consider the Vivo V80 over many phones in its price bracket. Vivo has fitted a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP autofocus camera on the front. It is a proper, useful setup rather than one strong lens surrounded by filler, and ZEISS tuning gives the V80&rsquo;s photos a character of their own.
I particularly enjoyed shooting with the main camera in daylight. Its pictures have the contrast and lively colours that <a title="Vivo S2 Review: Massive Battery, Premium Design, Minimal Compromises" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/vivo-s2-review-massive-battery-premium-design-minimal-compromises-1786105671836" target="_blank">Vivo </a>does so well, but they do not look wildly processed or artificial. Bright parts of a scene are handled sensibly, there is plenty of detail, and people do not come out looking as though their faces have been smoothed into plastic. Even when the light started to fade, the Aura Light proved useful for bringing some warmth and definition back into portraits.
The 3x telephoto is where the V80 starts to feel more special. It holds on to detail and colour much better than simply cropping in with the main camera, and I found myself using it regularly for people and tighter compositions.&nbsp;
ZEISS Multifocal Portrait offers focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm, which makes a genuine difference to how a portrait looks rather than merely changing the framing. The 85mm and 100mm settings were my favourites, giving subjects a cleaner separation from the background without the aggressive blur that often ruins software portrait modes.&nbsp;
The 10x Zoom-In Portrait mode is enjoyable too, although the 100x option is more about showing off than taking a photograph you will want to keep.
Night shooting is another area where the V80 performs well. The main camera keeps streetlights and neon from becoming a messy glow, while the telephoto delivers surprisingly clean zoom shots after dark.&nbsp;
The 8MP ultra-wide is the weakest of the four cameras, as expected, but it remains useful for landscapes and group photographs. Selfies, meanwhile, are sharp and flattering without taking away every trace of skin texture.
Video is well covered too. I shot walk-and-talk clips at 4K 60fps from both the front and rear cameras, and the footage was steady enough that I did not miss having a gimbal.&nbsp;
There are also Modern Movie, Vibrant and Pastel looks within 4K Cinematic Video, along with 30-plus AI Creative Camera styles, AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, Color Palette and Live Sticker Collage. AI Retouch can remove objects, expand an image, reposition subjects and improve resolution, but the cameras are good enough that these features never feel essential.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Performance</h2>
When I first saw that Vivo had used the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, I was prepared to be a little disappointed. At this price, it is not the processor people will be showing off in benchmark screenshots or using to win an argument online.&nbsp;
Once I started using the V80 as my regular phone, though, that concern mattered far less than I expected. It is not trying to be a gaming flagship, but it never gave me the sense that it was struggling to keep pace with the day.
I spent my time on the usual mix of WhatsApp, Chrome, Instagram, Maps, camera work and a little editing, often leaving several of those apps open at once. The V80 has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, neither of which is especially exciting on paper.&nbsp;
Still, apps generally stayed where I had left them, animations remained smooth and OriginOS did not turn basic multitasking into a chore. That is the sort of performance I care about more than a headline number.
The benchmark results are respectable rather than remarkable. My unit scored 1,233,489 in AnTuTu, while Geekbench 7 returned 980 in the single-core test and 3,267 in the multi-core test. Those figures line up with what I experienced: the V80 feels quick and capable, but it is not built to take on phones using proper flagship silicon. My Wild Life Extreme stress test told a similar story: 70.7 per cent stability, with scores dropping from 1,760 to 1,245. I would happily use the V80 for almost everything, but I would not buy it primarily to game.
I found the limits once I started gaming for longer. BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile ran well enough, and I had no issues with shorter matches. The phone did get warm after an extended session, though, and performance was not quite as settled as it had been at the beginning. Vivo&rsquo;s 4,300mm&sup2; cooling system helps, but there is only so much it can do with a mid-range chip. Neither game currently uses the display&rsquo;s 144Hz mode either, but I wouldn&rsquo;t be too surprised if the developers or Vivo push out some sort of update to fix that.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Software</h2>
The Vivo V80 runs OriginOS 7 on Android 17, and it is one of the more pleasant parts of using the phone. I liked how quickly the interface settled into the background. Animations are fluid, menus are easy enough to find, and there is plenty of scope to change the look of the phone without turning set-up into a full-day project.
There are a few thoughtful features here too. Snap Note can turn scribbled handwritten notes or a whiteboard photograph into a cleaner note, a table, a chart or even a presentation. I would not use it to replace proper work, but it is genuinely useful when you are trying to make sense of an idea from a meeting.&nbsp;
The Wiggle Theme is a much lighter touch, though it gives the software some personality, while the connected-device features came in handy when I was moving between screens and devices during the day.
My biggest complaint is the bloatware Vivo still insists on adding. The phone is expensive, well built and otherwise feels properly premium, so opening it up to find unwanted games and recommendations is a frustrating first impression. Yes, most of it can be removed, but that misses the point. I should not have to spend my first few minutes cleaning up a ₹62,999 phone.
Vivo does redeem itself to an extent with six years of security updates. That is a meaningful commitment, especially for anyone planning to keep the V80 for more than a couple of years. Once I had removed the unnecessary extras, OriginOS became an interface I was quite happy to use every day.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Battery Life</h2>
Battery life is where the Vivo V80 becomes genuinely hard to fault. I used it for WhatsApp, Chrome, Maps, Instagram, camera work, YouTube, music and the occasional BGMI match, and it routinely took me through two days before I needed to think about charging. Even on heavier days, I usually had enough left to start the next morning without any anxiety.
That is more impressive because Vivo has managed to fit this 7,200mAh battery into a 7.69mm phone. Its fourth-generation silicon-carbon anode is doing some serious work here. Extended navigation and long camera sessions will naturally take their toll, but I never felt as though I had to watch the battery percentage.
Using the included 90W FlashCharge adapter, I got from zero to 100 per cent in around an hour and five minutes. That is not outrageously fast, but it is perfectly fair for a battery this large. A short charge before stepping out is usually enough to get you through a busy day.
<h2>Vivo V80 Review: Verdict</h2>
After using the Vivo V80, I came away impressed by how well its priorities fit real life. It is not the phone I would buy for benchmarks or marathon gaming, but it gets the everyday experience right. The body is slim, the display is excellent, the protection is reassuring and the battery comfortably lasts two days. Most importantly, it has cameras I kept wanting to use.
Portraits are the standout. I found the main camera dependable, the 3x telephoto genuinely useful and the different ZEISS focal lengths far more than a gimmick. The 50MP selfie camera and stable 4K 60fps video make it just as useful for holidays, family photographs and quick clips.
OriginOS bloatware, the limited 144Hz support and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4&rsquo;s gaming ceiling are real compromises. Still, I would recommend the V80 to anyone who wants a stylish phone with excellent cameras and serious endurance.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 review covering its Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 15.3-inch display, battery life, performance and key limitations.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Performance, Battery & Display

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 combines a Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 15.3-inch display. Here’s how it performs in everyday use.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: A Practical Everyday Laptop

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 offers solid everyday performance, long battery life and upgradeable hardware, but its display and integrated graphics limit its appeal for creative and demanding workloads.

Buying a laptop right now feels more complicated than it used to. Rising demand for memory and storage, driven partly by AI infrastructure, has pushed up component costs, making even mainstream laptops feel surprisingly expensive. That makes Lenovo&rsquo;s IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 an interesting proposition.
The version I tested comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and a spacious 15.3-inch 16:10 display. Lenovo also talks up its Copilot+ AI capabilities, although I wouldn&rsquo;t consider that the biggest reason to pick this laptop.
What matters more is how well it handles the basics. For students and everyday users, a laptop needs to be reliable for work, browsing, video calls, studying and watching content. That&rsquo;s where the IdeaPad Slim 3i has to prove whether it offers enough performance and practicality without making you stretch your budget too far.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Design and Build Quality</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 takes a fairly simple approach to its design. You get a large 15.3-inch display, but Lenovo has tried to keep the overall package reasonably practical for everyday use. Measuring 343.4 x 239.5mm, it is understandably larger than most 14-inch laptops. However, the 16:10 aspect ratio gives you noticeably more vertical space, which I found useful while working with documents, spreadsheets and multiple windows.
At 1.63kg and between 16.9mm and 17.9mm thick, this isn't something I'd classify as an ultraportable. I could definitely feel it in my backpack once the charger and other accessories were added, although carrying it around during my daily routine wasn't particularly troublesome.
Lenovo has used aluminium for the lid and keyboard deck, while the bottom gets PC-ABS plastic. The Luna Grey finish keeps things understated, and the metal construction gives the laptop a more premium feel than its price might suggest. It doesn't look out of place in an office, classroom or coffee shop.
The overall build is fairly solid, but the hinge is one area that could use some work. There is noticeable screen movement when repositioning the laptop. Lenovo also says it has cleared 21 MIL-STD-810H tests, which is reassuring, but the hinge behaviour is something you'll notice during regular use.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Display</h2>
The 15.3-inch display is one of the more practical aspects of the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11. Lenovo has gone with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS panel, running at 60Hz, with an anti-glare finish and up to 400 nits of claimed brightness. On paper, these aren't particularly exciting specifications, but they make sense for a laptop aimed primarily at work and everyday use.
What I appreciated most was the 16:10 aspect ratio. That additional vertical space might not sound significant, but it makes scrolling through long documents, reading articles and working with spreadsheets noticeably more comfortable. I could also keep two windows open without feeling like everything was unnecessarily cramped.
For watching YouTube, movies and shows, the screen is perfectly usable. The resolution looks reasonably sharp at this size, while the matte finish does a good job of reducing distracting reflections. The 400-nit brightness is also useful indoors, particularly near windows or under stronger lighting.
There are, however, some limitations. Contrast is fairly average, so blacks lack the depth you'd get from an OLED display. The 60Hz refresh rate is similarly basic, although I don't think it matters much for the kind of work this laptop targets.
The bigger limitation is colour reproduction. With just 45% NTSC coverage, this isn't a screen I'd recommend for professional photo editing, video grading or colour-sensitive design work. For productivity, browsing and casual entertainment, though, it gets the job done without much fuss.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Keyboard and Trackpad</h2>
Lenovo hasn't tried to reinvent the keyboard here, and that's probably a good thing. The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 uses the company's familiar chiclet-style layout, complete with backlighting and a full-sized number pad. The keys have a slightly textured surface, which feels comfortable during longer typing sessions, while the decent key travel prevents the typing experience from feeling too shallow.
I generally type at around 75&ndash;80 words per minute, and I didn't need much time to adjust to this keyboard. The keys feel responsive without being overly stiff, making it one of the areas I enjoyed using the most on this laptop.
There is no fingerprint reader, which feels like a strange omission at this price point. However, the IR camera supports Windows Hello, so face-based authentication works well.
The trackpad is spacious and responsive, with accurate tracking and a satisfying click. Because Lenovo has squeezed in a dedicated number pad, the trackpad isn't centred on the chassis and instead lines up more closely with the spacebar. It looks slightly unusual initially, but I stopped noticing it after a while. Precision TouchPad gestures also work reliably for everyday navigation.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Connectivity, Camera and Audio</h2>
Connectivity on the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 is fairly practical for everyday use. You get Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, along with two USB-A ports, a USB-C port, HDMI 1.4, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack and Lenovo's traditional barrel-style charging port. The USB-C port also supports charging and DisplayPort 1.2, which adds some flexibility when connecting an external monitor. There is no Ethernet jack or WWAN support, though, so wired networking requires an adapter or dock.
I would have preferred a faster USB-C implementation or Thunderbolt support, particularly given how common high-speed peripherals have become. Still, for a typical setup involving a mouse, external drive, monitor or SD card, the existing selection should be enough.
The 1080p webcam is another useful inclusion. It comes with an IR sensor and a physical privacy shutter, allowing Windows Hello facial recognition for quick logins. I found this much more convenient than typing a password repeatedly. A fingerprint reader, however, is missing.
For audio, Lenovo has fitted two 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, accompanied by dual-array microphones. They're perfectly adequate for video calls and casual viewing, although I'd still reach for headphones when listening to music or watching movies.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Performance</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 I tested is configured with Intel&rsquo;s Core Ultra 5 322, 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. This isn't a machine designed to compete with gaming laptops or workstation-class notebooks, but the hardware combination makes sense for the kind of everyday workloads most students and professionals are likely to throw at it.
The processor features six cores, split between two Performance cores and four Low Power Efficiency cores. It also includes an NPU capable of up to 46 TOPS, which qualifies the laptop as a Copilot+ PC. This brings support for newer Windows AI features such as Studio Effects, although I wouldn't make those capabilities the deciding factor when buying this particular laptop.
I particularly like Lenovo's approach to the memory configuration. You get 8GB soldered to the motherboard alongside an additional 8GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM, giving you dual-channel memory from the start. More importantly, the removable module leaves room for an upgrade. Swapping the existing 8GB stick for a 16GB module could take the total memory to 24GB when compatible modules become more affordable.
Storage is similarly upgrade-friendly. The 512GB SSD provides enough room for Windows, applications, documents and everyday media, while two M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 slots mean you can add another SSD later instead of having to replace the existing drive.
The benchmark results were also in line with what I'd expect from this configuration: 11,184 in Geekbench 7, 1,555 in 3DMark Time Spy, 1,654 in Cinebench multi-core, 393 in Cinebench single-core and 6,807 in PCMark 10.
More importantly, those numbers translated well into actual use. I had no trouble juggling browser tabs, research, writing, presentations, streaming, video calls and various office and messaging applications. The laptop feels responsive enough for regular work without constantly reminding you that you're using a budget-oriented machine.
Gaming is where the limitations become more obvious. The integrated Intel Xe graphics can handle lighter and casual games, but this isn't the laptop to buy for modern AAA titles. Cloud gaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce Now are a more practical route for demanding games. Similarly, anyone planning serious video editing, 3D work or other GPU-intensive workloads should look towards a machine with a dedicated graphics card.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Software</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 comes with Windows 11 Home Single Language, along with Microsoft Office Home 2024. Having a full Office licence included is a nice addition, particularly if you're buying this laptop for college or regular office work where Word, Excel and PowerPoint are part of the daily routine. Lenovo also throws in Microsoft 365 Basic for a year, which includes 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage among other benefits.
Windows 11 itself feels right at home on this hardware. The interface is familiar and easy to navigate, while features such as Snap Layouts are especially handy on the laptop's larger 16:10 display. I could comfortably arrange documents, browser windows and communication apps without constantly resizing everything.
The Core Ultra 5 322 also brings an NPU capable of running supported AI functions locally, making this a Copilot+ PC. During video calls, features such as Windows Studio Effects can handle things like background blur, automatic framing and eye-contact adjustments. These aren't features everyone will necessarily use, but having the hardware available means the laptop is better prepared for newer Windows capabilities.
I also appreciated that Lenovo hasn't overloaded the system with unnecessary pre-installed applications. The overall software experience remained clean, responsive and easy to live with during my testing.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Battery Life and Charging</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 packs a 60Wh battery and comes with a 65W round-tip power adapter. During my testing, I generally managed around 10&ndash;12 hours between charges, which is a respectable result for a laptop in this category.
My usage wasn't particularly light either. I spent most of the day switching between writing, web browsing, research, emails, documents, streaming and occasional video calls. With that kind of workload, I was comfortable leaving the charger at home on a regular workday. Naturally, more demanding tasks, extended video calls or running the display at higher brightness will bring that figure down.
The bundled 65W charger isn't exactly tiny, but it's manageable enough to throw into a bag when required. I also like the flexibility offered by the USB-C port, which supports Power Delivery at between 45W and 65W. That means you can use a compatible USB-C charger instead of always carrying Lenovo's proprietary round-tip adapter.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Final Verdict</h2>
At ₹1,09,990, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 sits in a fairly competitive part of the laptop market. Rather than judging it purely by the Core Ultra branding, I think it's more useful to look at what you actually get as a complete package.
The configuration I tested brings together the Core Ultra 5 322, 16GB DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and a spacious 15.3-inch WUXGA IPS display. It also has upgradeable memory and storage, useful connectivity and a design that's reasonably easy to carry around. The Copilot+ capabilities are an added bonus, although they aren't necessarily the reason I'd pick this laptop.
There are a few compromises. The IPS display's limited colour coverage makes it less suitable for professional creative work, while the integrated graphics clearly limits its appeal for demanding gaming and GPU-heavy applications.
For students, professionals and general users, however, the overall package makes sense. Just remember that the IdeaPad Slim 3i range includes several configurations, so it's important to check the exact specifications before buying. At this price, the specific configuration you choose will ultimately determine how compelling the package is.

The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact offers quiet operation, useful smart controls and capable filtration, making it a strong first purifier for smaller rooms.

Xiaomi Mijia Air Purifier 4 Compact Review India: Price, Features And Performance

<h3>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact is a quiet, affordable way to clean the rooms you actually use, whether it is a bedroom, study or home office.</h3>

Xiaomi has returned to India&rsquo;s air-purifier market under its Mijia smart-home label, launching the Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact alongside the larger Air Purifier 6. The 4 Compact is the entry-level model, priced at ₹7,999, but it does not feel like a stripped-down appliance.
That price is its biggest advantage. It gives first-time buyers a fairly low-risk entry into air purification, and it also makes a room-by-room approach possible. A purifier in the bedroom and another in the study is usually more useful than asking one machine in the hallway to solve every air-quality problem in the house.
<h2>Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact Review: Design and Set-Up</h2>
Xiaomi has gone for function over flair with the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact. It is a compact white cylinder with a black touch panel sitting on top, measuring 22cm across and 35.5cm high. At 2.2kg, it is easy to place on a desk, side table or floor, and light enough to move to another room when needed.
A handle would have made it more convenient to carry around the house, but the low weight keeps this from being a serious omission. This is not a purifier you will struggle to lift.
The setup is equally uncomplicated. Remove the protective cover from the filter, connect the power cable and switch it on. It can be used straight away through the top panel. Xiaomi Home takes a few more minutes to pair, but the app is useful for settings that are not available directly on the machine.
Air is pulled in through the perforated lower section and pushed out from the top. This makes the placement rules fairly obvious: keep the lower vents and upper grille clear. The purifier will still run if it is wedged against a wall, but it will not be operating at its best.
At the rear, there is an opening for the particulate matter sensor. It should be kept clean, since the sensor feeds the Auto Mode and helps the purifier decide when to increase fan speed.
The touch controls include power, light adjustment and mode selection. Auto, Sleep and Manual each have their own indicator, alongside status icons. The light strip gives a quick read on the air it detects: green for 0&ndash;35, yellow for 36&ndash;75, orange for 76&ndash;150 and red beyond 150. It is simple, visible and useful from across a room.
<h2>Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact Review: Filtration</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact uses a cylindrical filter that combines three layers. There is a pre-filter for larger particles such as hair and household dust, a HEPA filter for finer matter, and activated carbon for odours. Air is pulled in through the bottom vents, passes through those layers and exits from the top.
Xiaomi rates the filtration system at 99.97 per cent for particles down to 0.3 microns. Its list includes dust, pollen, smoke and pet dander, while T&Uuml;V Rheinland Allergy Care certification gives it an added allergy-focused credential. For people who wake up with itchy eyes or spend half the morning dusting a desk, those are the claims that matter most.
Its particle CADR is 230m&sup3;/h, and Xiaomi advertises coverage of more than 400 sq ft. The small print is important here: the coverage calculation assumes two air changes an hour. The purifier can therefore be used in a larger room, but its size and airflow make it a more convincing pick for a bedroom, small living room, study or personal office. That is where it can keep working through the room&rsquo;s air at a more useful pace.
The activated carbon layer is the compromise. During an incense test, it made quick work of the visible smoke, but the fragrance stayed in the room much longer. The purifier is clearly better at removing particulate pollution than it is at clearing stubborn odours. Buyers who need help with smoke and pollen will be happier than those looking to neutralise heavy cooking smells.
Auto Mode is the sensible default. The onboard sensor responds to changing air quality and takes care of fan speed on its own. Sleep Mode switches off the display and is rated at 20dB. In everyday use, the purifier is quiet even outside Sleep Mode. With a ceiling fan on, I could not hear it from roughly two feet away.
Manual Mode lets you set the purifier&rsquo;s speed through Xiaomi Home. You can select Manual on the device itself, but any adjustment to its level happens in the app.
<h2>Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact Review: App &amp; Features</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact can be operated entirely from its top panel, so Xiaomi Home is optional. The app adds useful controls that make it more convenient.
Remote power control means you can start it before reaching home. You can also set timers, move between Auto, Sleep and Manual modes, and change display brightness. The child lock disables the buttons on the purifier, while notification sounds, device sharing, automation routines and firmware updates are also covered. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support are included too.
Manual Mode benefits most from the app. Xiaomi does not give you a row of numbered fan levels. Instead, you choose room coverage with a slider, and the purifier sets its speed to suit. Once saved, selecting Manual on the purifier brings that setting back without needing to open the app again.
Xiaomi Home does not present air-quality information particularly well. The purifier&rsquo;s main page shows a broad &ldquo;Good&rdquo; status, which is reassuring but offers little detail. The home dashboard can display a particulate reading in &micro;g/m&sup3;, though it is not carried through to the device page. There is no history chart either.
That makes Xiaomi Home useful for control and automation, but less helpful if you want to track how quickly the purifier has improved the room.
<h2>Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact Review: Living With It</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact works best in Auto Mode. Its sensor manages the fan, increasing speed when air quality worsens and reducing it once the room is back in shape. There is little reason to keep changing settings yourself.
Noise is one of its strengths. Xiaomi rates Sleep Mode at 20dB, and the purifier is quiet enough to keep beside a bed. You can also switch off the screen at night. Outside Sleep Mode, the fan is still well controlled. You will notice it at a higher speed, but it avoids the strained noise cheaper purifiers often make.
The 27W power rating makes it practical to leave running for long periods. Xiaomi estimates 24 hours of maximum-power use at roughly 0.7kWh. Everyday use on Auto should be lower again.
Changing the filter takes a minute. Twist open the base, slide the cylindrical cartridge out and fit a new one. Xiaomi Home gives filter-life reminders. The remaining question is replacement-filter cost and availability in India.
<h2>Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact Review: Verdict</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact is an easy first air purifier to recommend at ₹7,999. It is small enough to place almost anywhere, quiet enough for a bedroom, and happy to sit in Auto Mode while you get on with your day.
The three-layer filter, app controls and 27W rating make it more rounded than a basic budget purifier. It also suits homes that would rather use smaller purifiers in the rooms that need them than expect one large unit to handle everything.
The app does not show air-quality data particularly well, and the small carbon layer cannot tackle every strong smell. Filter cost and availability will matter over time, though Xiaomi says replacements will remain readily available during peak demand.
Those are manageable compromises. This is an affordable, quiet and capable way to bring cleaner air into the rooms you use most.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 review: Excellent sound, reliable ANC, improved comfort and replaceable batteries make these premium TWS earbuds stand out.

Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 5: Built To Outlast Most Premium Earbuds

<h3>The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 brings excellent sound, strong ANC and a rare repairability advantage, with replaceable batteries in both earbuds and the case.</h3>

Flagship TWS earbuds usually compete on a predictable checklist: stronger ANC, a new codec or a few extra app features. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 has all of that, but its most important addition is far more practical. Both the earbuds and charging case use replaceable batteries.
The ₹29,990 MTW5 also brings Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Lossless, Dolby Atmos with head tracking, adaptive ANC, multipoint support and a claimed 40 hours of total playback.&nbsp;
Sennheiser has also made the earbuds smaller and more comfortable than their predecessors, while retaining the rich, detailed sound that defines the Momentum line. I found that combination particularly compelling. Premium earbuds are rarely built for long-term ownership, and the MTW5 gives buyers a credible reason to expect more from theirs.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review: Design &amp; Comfort</h2>
The Momentum True Wireless 5 is not a minor refresh. Sennheiser has reshaped both the earbuds and case around a smaller, more ergonomic form, and the difference is obvious once you put them in.
The earlier Momentum models I used were comfortable enough, but their larger shells were always noticeable. The MTW5 feels less intrusive. Its smoother housing and shorter nozzle sit more naturally in the ear canal, creating a secure fit without the pressure that can make earbuds tiring after an hour or two. I wore them through work, travel and longer viewing sessions without feeling the need to take them out.
Sennheiser supplies XS, S, M and L ear tips. Choosing the right one matters, as a proper seal improves comfort, bass response and noise cancellation while keeping the earbuds stable when you are moving around. With the right tips, the MTW5 stays firmly in place despite lacking wings or stabilising fins.
The case is slimmer and more pocket-friendly than earlier Momentum designs. It has a clean finish and looks suitably premium, although my unit had a small amount of play in the lid. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is something Sennheiser should tighten up at this price.
The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. They should be fine with gym sessions, sweat and occasional rain, but the charging case has no similar protection.
Sennheiser's most important design decision is invisible: the batteries in both earbuds and the case can be replaced. The buds use small screws, the case uses one, and the process requires a tiny precision screwdriver and the included pry tool. The batteries are proprietary, so replacement pricing and local availability will be important to watch.
Even so, this makes the MTW5 unusual in the flagship TWS market. Most models become disposable once battery capacity declines. These offer a practical route to extending their usable life, and that gives the redesign much more weight than a cosmetic makeover.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review: Audio Quality</h2>
The Momentum True Wireless 5's strongest argument remains sound quality. Sennheiser uses 7mm TrueResponse drivers, and the result is a rich, composed signature that has enough punch for modern music without sacrificing clarity.
Bass is the immediate highlight. It extends low and gives electronic and pop tracks satisfying weight. Crucially, it does not spill into the midrange. On The Weeknd's Take My Breath and Radiohead's The National Anthem, the low-end drive remains present, but vocals and instrumental layers stay intelligible.
That control carries over to hip-hop and percussion-led tracks. KR$NA and Dhanda Nyoliwala's Boomshakalaka is a useful example. The kick has definition, the bassline has proper physicality, and the earbuds avoid turning the track into a thick, one-note thump. Sub-bass is substantial, while the mid-bass remains full and warm. The MTW5 is not basshead-tuned, but its low end has welcome authority.
The midrange is equally well judged. Vocals are clean and natural, while guitars and acoustic instruments retain a convincing sense of body. On Ghost's Mary On a Cross, individual layers remain clearly separated. I found that this was one of the MTW5's most appealing traits: busy songs do not collapse into the centre, and quieter recordings do not sound thin.
Treble performance is detailed and crisp. Pasoori by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill is particularly effective for judging this, as its strings, percussion and vocal inflections all remain easy to follow. There is occasional extra energy in the upper frequencies on brighter recordings, though, which can make the presentation a little sharp for sensitive listeners.
The Smart Control Plus app offers several ways to address that. Its EQ uses fixed bands rather than a fully parametric system, but a modest reduction smooths the sound without reducing its detail. Bass Boost, presets and Sound Personalisation are also available.
Dolby Atmos and head tracking are part of the feature set. Atmos can add scale to compatible films, but stereo remains the better music mode. It is more natural, cohesive and closer to Sennheiser's core sound signature.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review: ANC and Call Quality</h2>
The Momentum True Wireless 5 improves ANC where it matters most. It reduces persistent, low-frequency sound particularly well, softening traffic, bus engines, aircraft cabins, air conditioners and office fans to a far less distracting level.
Fit plays a major role. Once I found the right ear tips, the passive seal and adaptive ANC made the MTW5 especially effective for travel and work. It is also worth installing the latest firmware straight away. The review unit initially had some ANC issues, but they disappeared after the update.
Higher-pitched noise and nearby conversations are not removed completely, but they are softened enough that they do not constantly interrupt music or podcasts.
Transparency mode is well judged. It lets you hear an announcement or hold a quick conversation without removing the earbuds, and your own voice comes through clearly enough. Apple's AirPods Pro still offers a more natural effect, but the MTW5 remains a useful option for everyday awareness.
Calls are strong in quieter places. Sennheiser uses multiple microphones, beamforming, a bone-conduction voice sensor and AI processing to isolate speech. In noisier environments, surrounding sound is reduced effectively, although voice quality can become slightly processed when the system is under pressure.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review: Connectivity and Controls</h2>
The Momentum True Wireless 5 supports Bluetooth 6.0, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and multipoint. Pairing with my work laptop and Google Pixel 11 Pro XL was quick, the connection stayed stable, and moving between the two devices was straightforward.
Codecs include SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. Compatible Android phones can access the advanced aptX options, while iPhone users are restricted to AAC and SBC, because of iPhone&rsquo;s codecs. That matters on paper, but sound remains the main attraction.
The Smart Control Plus app is well designed and easy to use. It lets you adjust ANC and transparency, manage connections, customise gestures, personalise sound, build location-based Sound Zones and use Find Headphones.
The ability to disable touch controls completely is particularly useful. It removes the annoyance of accidental taps when adjusting the earbuds, a smart everyday touch.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review: Battery</h2>
Sennheiser rates the MTW5 for 12 hours per charge with ANC off, six hours with it on and 40 hours with the case. Six hours with ANC is the relevant figure, and it is enough for commutes, most flights and a full workday.
I measured about 90 minutes for a full charge. A 10-minute top-up gives roughly one hour of listening, while USB-C and Qi wireless charging add welcome flexibility.
Its biggest battery benefit is repairability. Replace the ageing cells instead of replacing the earbuds.
<h2>Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 Review Verdict: Should You Buy It?</h2>
The Momentum True Wireless 5 is Sennheiser's most complete flagship TWS package yet. It improves comfort, case portability, sound, ANC and app functionality.
Its real advantage is repairability. The batteries in the earbuds and case can be replaced, giving the MTW5 a long-term ownership case that very few premium TWS products can match. At ₹29,990, that matters as much as its audio quality.
There are a few caveats. Apple's AirPods Pro remains more natural in transparency mode, calls can become slightly processed in heavy noise, and the treble may need a minor EQ adjustment for sensitive listeners.
Those shortcomings do not alter the core verdict. If sound quality, comfort and the prospect of keeping your earbuds for years matter to you, the Momentum True Wireless 5 is an excellent premium choice.

Logitech MX Keypad brings programmable LCD keys, macros and app-aware profiles to AI, office, coding and creative workflows.

Logitech MX Keypad Review: A Clever Productivity Tool for AI Workflows

<h3>Logitech&rsquo;s MX Keypad uses programmable LCD keys, profiles and macros to simplify repeated tasks across coding, AI, office and creative workflows.</h3>

A keyboard and mouse can do almost everything you need at a computer. The problem is not capability. It is the number of tiny actions that sit between you and the job: finding the right command, switching apps, opening a menu, or typing the same instruction one more time.
The Logitech MX Keypad is built around removing some of that friction. It is a compact wired console with nine programmable LCD buttons, two buttons for moving between pages and a companion app that lets you turn those keys into shortcuts, macros, text actions, app controls and saved prompts.
Logitech is clearly targeting developers who use AI coding tools. At ₹15,999, the MX Keypad offers native hooks for VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA and GitHub Copilot, while community plugins extend it to Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. The company also bundles three months of GitHub Copilot Pro+.
But coding is only one reason to consider it. The MX Keypad has a wider productivity case, particularly if AI assistants, office applications, video tools and calls already occupy most of your working day.
<h2>Logitech MX Keypad Review: Design</h2>
The MX Keypad is easy to accommodate. Measuring 91.7 x 77.9 x 25.5mm and weighing 96g, it takes up about as much room as a small notebook. It can sit beside a full-sized keyboard or laptop without demanding a desk reshuffle, and it is light enough to pack when you move between home and office.
I received the Graphite version, which has the same restrained aesthetic as Logitech&rsquo;s wider MX range. The casing is plastic, but it feels sturdy and well finished. Its combination of matte surfaces and a subtly glossy top panel looks smart without pulling attention away from the rest of a desk setup. A Pale Grey option is available in some markets as well.
The package includes the keypad, a USB-C to USB-C cable, a small stand and documentation. The stand raises the keypad to a roughly 45-degree angle, which is the better way to use it. It brings the keys closer to your fingers and makes the compact grid easier to work with. There is a cable channel behind the stand, along with a Velcro strap for tidying the 1.5m cable.
The unit can also be used flat, although the stand makes the experience feel more purposeful. It is a welcome inclusion, especially because the device has no wireless mode or internal battery.
<h2>Logitech MX Keypad Review: Keys &amp; Usability</h2>
The front is dominated by a three-by-three array of colour LCD buttons. Below it sit the two page controls, which let you move through multiple sets of commands. The overall layout is simple, but it is the displays that make the hardware feel more useful than a typical macro pad.
Every LCD key can show a label, icon or a combination of the two. That means you are not relying on memory alone. You can glance at the keypad and see the command in front of you, whether it is a Copilot action, a DaVinci Resolve control, a Zoom shortcut or a prompt you use regularly.
Each profile can hold up to 15 pages. With nine programmable keys on every page, that gives you a theoretical ceiling of 135 commands per application. In practice, the first screen will matter the most, because those are the controls you can reach without pausing to navigate through pages.
The keys register commands promptly and the displays are bright enough to be read easily. Their soft action will not satisfy someone looking for the feel of a mechanical keyboard, but the MX Keypad is a different kind of tool. Its strength is that it turns abstract shortcuts into visible controls.
<h2>Logitech MX Keypad Review: Software</h2>
Without Logi Options+, the MX Keypad is simply nine small screens. Logitech&rsquo;s companion software is where you assign actions, create layouts, adjust brightness and organise profiles for different applications.
The interface presents a virtual version of the keypad, with actions available to drag onto each button. Users can add keyboard shortcuts, launch applications, open websites, control media playback, tweak system settings or create mouse actions. It also supports scripts, text insertion, toggles and multi-actions that perform a sequence of commands from one press.
That last option is where the product starts making more sense. A single key can carry out a task that normally takes several inputs, helping reduce the small interruptions that build up across a workday.
Profiles can be general or linked to a specific application. When automatic switching is enabled, the MX Keypad changes its layout as you move between apps. Open Slack and it can show communication controls; shift to Word, an IDE or an editing app and the buttons can change again.
Logi Marketplace expands the selection with profiles, icons and plugins. A Logitech account is needed to access it, and some plugins may require their own supporting extension or application. The Marketplace is still developing, but it is what gives the MX Keypad room to evolve beyond Logitech&rsquo;s default commands.
<h2>Logitech MX Keypad Review: Living with it</h2>
The product is at its best when it is configured around the way you already work. It does not need to replace every shortcut or turn your desk into a cockpit. A few well-selected actions are enough to make it useful.
AI tools are an obvious starting point. With Claude Desktop and ChatGPT, the MX Keypad can keep often-used prompts, commands and related actions close at hand. If you regularly give an assistant the same brief, request or instruction, assigning it to a labelled key is more convenient than finding an old chat or pasting text again.
That becomes more relevant when AI is part of the normal workflow rather than something you occasionally open to ask a question. The keypad provides a physical place for those repeated actions, instead of leaving them scattered across notes, browser tabs and keyboard shortcuts.
It also works well for more conventional office tasks. Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom and browser-based work all involve recurring commands, whether that is switching views, controlling a call, opening a file, inserting text or triggering a sequence of actions. The MX Keypad gives those functions a visible place beside the keyboard.
I also tried it with DaVinci Resolve, partly to see how adaptable it could be. It is not meant to replace a dedicated colour-grading panel or editing console, but it can be a fun way to keep a handful of controls in sight while you work. Likewise, people who stream gameplay can use it in a Stream Deck-like role for scenes, streaming tools and other supported actions.
Developers, however, remain Logitech&rsquo;s main audience here. The MX Keypad has native support for VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA and GitHub Copilot, allowing users to navigate projects, open terminals, manage debugging tools and launch common commands through the keys.
The more distinctive functions arrive through plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. These can show live agent status on the LCD buttons and provide controls for terminal-based workflows. If an agent is running in the background or waiting for a response, the keypad can make that status easier to notice without constantly returning to a terminal window.
Prompt macros and voice-input actions also suit this use case. Developers who return to the same instructions or workflows can keep them on a key rather than repeating the setup every time.
For those with more specialised requirements, Logitech provides the Logi Actions SDK. It supports JavaScript and C#, making it possible to create custom plugins for tools that are not already supported. The one significant platform limitation is Linux, which the MX Keypad does not support despite its developer focus.
<h2>Logitech MX Keypad Review: Verdict</h2>
The MX Keypad is not a necessary accessory. Anyone comfortable with keyboard shortcuts, free macro software or text expanders can replicate many of its functions without spending ₹15,999.
What Logitech offers is convenience. The LCD keys make commands easy to identify, while automatic profiles let the device follow your workflow from one application to the next. The more repetitive and multi-app your work is, the easier it is to see the appeal.
It works best for people willing to spend time setting it up, particularly those who use AI assistants, coding tools, office applications or creative software throughout the day. For them, the MX Keypad can become a useful little panel that keeps regular actions closer than a menu or a keyboard shortcut ever could.

Sony LinkBuds Clip review: Explore its open-ear design, sound quality, comfort, battery life, call performance and price in India. Is it worth ₹24,990?

Sony LinkBuds Clip Review: Comfort, Sound Quality and Battery Life

Sony's LinkBuds Clip offer a refreshing open-ear listening experience with impressive comfort and battery life. But are they worth ₹24,990? Here's our detailed review.

Sony LinkBuds Clip Review: A Fresh Take on Open-Ear Audio

Sony LinkBuds Clip deliver excellent comfort, an open-ear design and impressive battery life, but limited codecs, average noisy-environment call quality and the ₹24,990 price raise concerns.

Testing out open-ear headphones as a gadget reviewer is a wild ride lately, with every brand trying something different. When Sony launched the LinkBuds Clip, I jumped on a pair right away to figure out how this unique clip design handles real-world chaos like workouts and packed commutes.
Clip-on earphones still turn heads. People always ask if they stay anchored, whether sound leaks out to bother strangers, and if they can genuinely swap in for regular daily drivers. I spent a full week living with the striking Green variant, wearing them from my workspace to the metro. They retail at ₹24,990, though platforms like Amazon often list them closer to ₹16,000.
Love them or hate them, these bring a totally fresh angle to personal audio. Here is my breakdown of whether they deserve a spot in your rotation.
<h2>Sony LinkBuds Clip&rsquo;s Design and Comfort</h2>
Unboxing the charging case immediately reveals Sony&rsquo;s clean and straightforward aesthetic approach. Weighing roughly 42 grams, the squarish enclosure features soft, rounded corners and a compact footprint that slides effortlessly into tight jeans pockets.
Sony opted for a dual-texture finish, pairing a sleek, glossy upper lid with a clean matte texture across the inner and lower body. While the glossy top lid looks sharp out of the box, it tends to pick up fingerprint smudges and light scratches rather quickly. Around the back, the pairing button sits right next to the USB-C charging port. The lid hinge initially felt a bit loose, raising slight durability concerns for the price point, but it has held up reliably through daily opening and closing without any displacement.
The earbuds mirror that glossy aesthetic, tipping the scales at around 6.4 grams each. Out of the box, the fit feels remarkably light. They clip easily onto the outer cartilage, allowing for hours of continuous wear without major fatigue. Active movement does introduce a minor trade-off, however. During extended walks or prolonged talking, the buds tend to slide down slightly, making audio sound somewhat distant until pushed back into place.
To combat this, <a title="Sony WH-1000XM6 Long-Term Review: Still The Headphones To Beat In 2026" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/sony-wh-1000xm6-long-term-review-still-the-headphones-to-beat-in-2026-1790323035200" target="_blank">Sony </a>bundles adjustable clips in the box. Snapping these clips onto the rear effectively locks the buds in a firm position. Although helpful for stability, the cushions can occasionally slip off while handling the hardware, sometimes going unnoticed. Overall, the fresh and modern design requires a brief adjustment period to dial in the ideal daily fit.
<h2>Sony LinkBuds Clip Review: Audio Quality</h2>
Each earbud relies on a custom 10mm dynamic driver unit. Because open-ear designs never seal off the ear canals, expecting chest-thumping bass is unrealistic. Compared to traditional flagship alternatives, the sonic signature feels significantly lighter and airier. Leaving the house also highlights the lack of active noise cancellation. Strolling down a busy street lets traffic and nearby chatter bleed straight past the drivers, which inevitably dulls the music.
Once you identify the intended user base, the engineering choices make sense. These cater to listeners who despise isolation and want zero ear fatigue during long listening sessions. In quieter settings like a home apartment or a peaceful workspace, listening to tracks with intricate sound staging and instrument separation is genuinely enjoyable. Spinning acoustic pieces like &ldquo;Raabta&rdquo; by Arijit Singh or &ldquo; All of Me&rdquo; by John Legend reveals subtle details like finger slides on guitar strings and delicate vocal breaths that often get drowned out on bass-heavy competitors. Rap tracks remain clean and articulate, even if the sub-bass lacks physical weight.
The primary drawback on the technical front involves connectivity limitations. Sony restricted support strictly to basic SBC and AAC codecs. Realizing that high-resolution LDAC support is absent at this price tier is genuinely disappointing. Even so, prioritizing situational awareness and an open soundstage over heavy isolation makes the overall acoustic delivery easy to appreciate.
<h2>Sony LinkBuds Clip Review: Call Quality</h2>
For voice calls, each bud utilizes a dual microphone setup that handles standard conversations reasonably well. Indoors, whether tucked away in a quiet room or working at the office, voices sound natural and clean on both ends without weird distortion. Even during peaceful morning strolls through a neighborhood park, the mics handle gentle breezes without issue.
The open design reveals its limitations during peak urban chaos. Hopping onto a crowded metro or navigating a bustling weekend market lets callers come through loud and clear. The real trouble lies on the receiving end. Callers reported that background racket bleeds right through, frequently drowning out speech with street noise and random chatter.
While this lack of isolation is expected given the open architecture, it remains a critical factor for anyone who relies heavily on calls while commuting.
<h2>Sony LinkBuds Clip Review: Software Experience</h2>
Sony's Sound Connect app pulls double duty here, letting you push firmware updates, check exact battery percentages, and dial in the multi-band EQ. Inside, you get three listening profiles to cycle through. Standard mode is easily the winner for daily use, keeping the audio profile balanced and natural.
Need help focusing on speech? Voice Boost shifts the focus to the mid and upper registers so dialogue punches through background noise during lectures or long podcasts. There is also a Sound Leakage Reduction setting that clamps down on escaping audio in pin-drop quiet rooms. Honestly, it makes the sound a bit lifeless, and since standard mode behaves itself well enough, you will likely leave it turned off.
Commands rely entirely on tapping the flexible center bridge or the chunky rear housing behind the ear. A quick double-tap on the right side manages playback, three taps skip ahead, and rapid multi-taps handle volume without shoving anything deeper into your ear canal. You will not dislodge them like regular in-ears when tapping, though the sensors can occasionally demand a deliberate rhythm to register your touches properly.
On the flip side, Sony left out wear detection. Pulling a bud out will not auto-pause your music, which feels like an annoying miss at this price. At least multipoint pairing redeems things by holding onto your phone and laptop simultaneously, switching audio streams smoothly whenever a work call pops up.
<h2>Battery and Charging on the Sony LinkBuds Clip</h2>
Battery endurance easily counts as one of the strongest perks of this hardware. Sony rates the buds for roughly 9 hours of straight playback per charge, pushing to an incredible 36 hours total once you toss in the backup energy from the carrying case.
My day-to-day testing involved a healthy mix of background music, video consumption, and random phone calls, yet I found myself plugging them into a charger just once or twice over the span of a week. If you happen to be rushing out the house with a dead battery, a fast 3 minute top-up gives you about an hour of listening time, completely wiping out any battery anxiety for people constantly on the go.
<h2>Final Verdict: Should You Buy the Sony LinkBuds Clip?</h2>
Retailing at ₹24,990, this hardware targets a very particular audience. Anyone buying gear primarily to drown out noisy subway commutes or chase heavy bass will want to look elsewhere. Skipping active noise cancellation and high resolution codecs is a tough pill to swallow at this cost.
On the other hand, listeners who hate stuffed ear canals and prefer keeping an ambient soundtrack going while staying completely alert will find that these make total sense. The stellar comfort, massive battery life, and smart open design won me over completely. They are certainly unique, but for the right daily routine, they fit like a charm.

Xiaomi’s Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 brings rapid cleaning, useful room-air data and smart controls to large bedrooms and living rooms.

Xiaomi Mijia Air Purifier 6 Review: A Big-Room Specialist

<h3>Xiaomi&rsquo;s Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 cleans large rooms quickly, offers useful air-quality data and remains easy to use without the app.</h3>

There is no proper start date for bad air anymore. In Delhi-NCR, winter pollution is already creeping in. Elsewhere, a mix of dust, traffic fumes, construction and everyday cooking can still make the air inside a home feel stuffy.
An air purifier cannot fix the air outside your window. It can, however, make the room where you work, sleep or spend time with family a little easier to live in. That is the job Xiaomi&rsquo;s Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is trying to do.
Priced at ₹17,999, it is the larger of Xiaomi&rsquo;s two new Mijia air purifiers. It gets a 443m&sup3;/h particle CADR, five air-quality sensors, a five-stage filtration setup and support for the Xiaomi Home app. There is also activated carbon for odours, a UVC module and negative-ion mode, so it is clearly doing more than simply watching PM2.5 levels.
We had a good experience with the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact in a bedroom and study. The Air Purifier 6 is built for when the room, and the job, gets more demanding.
<h2>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Review: Design</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 has a low-key design that works in its favour. It is a plain white appliance with a perforated lower section for air intake and an outlet grille on top. There are no odd angles, shiny trims or aggressive branding. I think it will disappear into most living rooms better than many of the more expensive purifiers around.
At 55.5cm tall and roughly 5.2kg, it is not tiny, but it does not eat up much floor space either. I could lift it and move it around without any real effort. Still, it feels more like a purifier you place in one room and leave there, rather than one you keep taking from bedroom to living room.
The circular LCD panel is useful rather than decorative. It shows PM1, PM2.5 and dust readings, along with temperature, humidity and the purifier&rsquo;s operating status. Xiaomi has tucked two touch controls below the display for power and mode changes. I liked being able to select Auto, Sleep or a fan level without pulling out my phone.
There are a few small design touches that make maintenance easier. The top panel comes off to expose the fan and air duct for cleaning. At the rear, the magnetic cover opens to reveal the filter, which already has a pull tab attached. We also see a smaller cover right that houses the sensor, on top of the main panel cover. That is best left to a service technician. The white body does show fingerprints, but a damp cloth takes care of them.
<h2>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Review: Filtration</h2>
The main appeal of the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is the amount of work it can do in a short time. Xiaomi markets it as a PentaClean purifier. In simple terms, that means five sensors watching the air and five stages working to improve it.
It does not use a conventional HEPA filter. Xiaomi instead uses its own High-Efficiency Filter, which combines mechanical filtration with electrostatic charge. The company claims 99.98 per cent removal of 0.3-micron particles, including PM2.5, pollen and second-hand smoke, under specified test conditions.
The rest of the system is sensible. A primary filter catches larger particles such as dust, pet dander and hair. Activated carbon is there to help with odours, formaldehyde and TVOCs. The purifier also has a UVC module that Xiaomi says helps keep the filter sanitary, plus a negative-ion generator. I would not buy it purely for those last two features, but they are useful additions to an already strong filter setup.
I tested it with a couple of incense sticks in a closed room. The AQI climbed to around 450, which is unpleasantly high. Running the Mijia at a higher fan speed brought that down to 30 in under 10 minutes. That is the sort of result that inspires confidence.
Xiaomi rates its particle CADR at 443m&sup3;/h. For context, CADR measures the volume of filtered air delivered each hour. This is a high figure for the price, and I found the Mijia particularly quick once the air became visibly smoky or dusty. It does get louder when the fan goes into top gear, but that is exactly when you want it working harder.
The brand&rsquo;s 940 sq ft coverage claim should be read with some care. It assumes two air changes per hour and a 2.4m ceiling height. For regular use, I would see it as a good fit for a large bedroom, master suite or living-and-dining area, rather than expect it to purify an entire large home at the same rate.
<h2>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Review: App and functions</h2>
You do not need Xiaomi Home to use the purifier. I could turn it on, select a mode and read the key information directly from its display. That matters, because some smart-home products feel unnecessarily crippled without an app.
Still, Xiaomi Home adds enough to make the set-up worthwhile. It gives you remote controls, fan-speed adjustment, schedules, filter-health information and a custom Manual Mode. I mostly let Auto Mode take charge, as it adjusts the fan based on the sensors. Manual Mode is better suited to someone who wants the purifier to run at a fixed speed.
The app also lets you dim the display, silence alerts and control the UVC and negative-ion settings. It includes a child lock, plus charts for PM1, PM2.5 and dust levels over time. Those charts are handy if you want to understand whether cooking, a dusty day or an open window is affecting the room.
Alexa, Google Home and Xiaomi HyperOS Connect support are included too. Voice commands are mostly useful for simple actions, such as switching the purifier on or changing modes.
My only complaint is that the full smart experience requires a Xiaomi account and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The set-up process is straightforward once you have the correct network, but I would not have said no to a small physical remote in the box.
<h2>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Review: Living with it</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is easiest to appreciate when it is quietly doing its thing in Auto Mode. I left it there most of the time. It speeds up when the readings worsen, then settles down when the room is back in shape.
The five sensors track PM1, PM2.5, dust, temperature and humidity. You may not look at every reading daily, but I found the extra data useful after cooking and during a dust spike. The colour display also makes it easy to tell whether the purifier has detected a problem without walking over to it.
Sleep Mode is rated at 32dB(A). With the display dimmed and the fan lowered, I had no trouble keeping it on through the night. At maximum speed, it is clearly audible, but it never sounded strained or harsh.
Power consumption is also reasonable. The purifier is rated at 40W, which works out to roughly one unit of electricity over 24 hours at maximum power. It is unlikely to run flat out all day in Auto Mode.
Filter monitoring makes maintenance simple. Xiaomi says the filter can last about a year, but that will depend heavily on local air quality and how often you run it. In Delhi-NCR, I would trust the filter-life indicator more than the calendar.
<h2>Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Review: Verdict</h2>
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 gets the essentials right. It cleans the air quickly, offers useful monitoring, has an easy app and does not force you to use that app for the basics. The display, physical controls and straightforward filter access make it feel more practical than many smart appliances.
It is not a magical solution for a huge house, and the 940 sq ft number needs context. But if you need one purifier for a large bedroom or a living-cum-dining room, it has the power to make a real difference.
At ₹17,999, Xiaomi has put together a strong package. The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact remains the better choice for smaller rooms. For larger spaces, though, the Smart Air Purifier 6 is the Xiaomi model I would pick.

The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 brings fuller bass, a secure lightweight fit, USB-C charging and long battery life for outdoor workouts.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Open-Ear Audio Gets Better

<h3>The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 delivers better bass, strong comfort and situational awareness for runners and walkers</h3>

I do not like running with earbuds. A cyclist from behind, a car entering your lane, or someone calling you can easily go unheard with both ears sealed. Yet most open-ear headphones have their own problem: they tend to make music sound flat enough that you would rather leave them at home.
The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 hopes to avoid that trade-off. Priced at ₹17,999, it combines bone conduction with an air-conduction speaker. The first handles the mids and highs; the second brings in the bass that earlier Shokz sets never quite managed. It also gets a 12-hour claimed battery, USB-C, multipoint support and an app that lets you adjust the sound.
I used it for walks, workouts and errands, and it made its case. It will not replace in-ears. It is built to let you keep one ear on the world, without settling for terrible audio.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Design</h2>
The OpenRun Pro 2 does not look like conventional headphones, and that is the point. A slim band sits behind the neck; two lightweight sections tuck behind the ears; sound pads rest on the cheekbones, leaving the canals free. Shokz uses titanium, nickel-titanium memory wire, rubber and silicone. It feels flexible, not fragile.
It weighs 30.3g, which is light enough to disappear once you are moving. I wore it while walking and training, and never felt the usual pressure or heat that comes with in-ears. The rubberised finish also helps it stay where it should when you are sweaty. Glasses are not an issue either.
Choosing the right size matters more here than it does with most earbuds. Shokz sells Standard and Mini options, and you should check its sizing guide before ordering. If the pads sit too high or too low, sound quality takes a hit. The bass becomes less present, and the headset can feel less secure. With the right fit, though, it stayed steady for my walks and workouts.
You get a large control button on the left, with volume, power and USB-C controls on the right. The buttons are a better choice than touch panels for a workout headset. I could pause music or change volume without looking for a specific spot. The volume buttons take a short while to learn, since they feel similar, but that stopped being a problem for me.
A hard carry case comes in the box. It is genuinely protective, although it is not especially compact.&nbsp;
As for water and dust resistance, we get IP55 protection, which should see off sweat, dust and accidental splashes. It is less reassuring for rain, particularly when the cheaper OpenRun is rated IP67.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Sound Quality</h2>
DualPitch is the reason to pay more. Instead of making one bone-conduction unit do all the work, Shokz puts an air-conduction driver in charge of bass, leaving the bone-conduction unit to deal with everything above it. It is a sensible change, and one I could hear immediately.
This does not turn the OpenRun Pro 2 into a replacement for proper in-ears. Bass is still restrained, and you never get that heavy, sealed-off thump. But the low-end is no longer missing altogether. It gives tracks more weight and stops music from sounding hollow. The presentation is still mainly about mids and highs, which means singers, dialogue, drums and guitars all remain easy to pick out.
I was also pleased by how little it buzzed against my face. Older bone-conduction sets often make bass-heavy songs feel as if they are fluttering at your temples. The Pro 2 is calmer and more comfortable, even when I turned it up a little. Do remember that positioning changes the sound. A pad that slips out of place can make the bass almost vanish.
People sitting next to you will not get a private concert either. Leakage is quite well managed. At 70 to 80 per cent, the person beside me on the Delhi Metro could barely tell what was playing. That is better than I expected from an open-ear headset.
There is no ANC, naturally. The more important point is that music can still cover enough surrounding sound to make you less alert. Keep it around 60 per cent when running or cycling, and it does exactly what it should: lets the soundtrack in while leaving the world audible.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Call Quality</h2>
The OpenRun Pro 2 handles calls better than I thought it would. People could hear me clearly, and I did not need to keep repeating myself. That makes it useful for a short conversation with family, answering a call from work, or speaking to someone while walking.
I would not, however, buy it for calls. Wind, traffic and a busy road are difficult conditions for any open-ear sports headset, and they will still get in the way. Shokz uses dual microphones with AI noise reduction, which helps keep some mess out of the call, but it cannot perform miracles. It is reliable enough in a pinch, not outstanding. Given why people buy this headset, that feels perfectly fair.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: App And Connectivity</h2>
The Shokz app covers firmware updates, sound controls and multipoint. You can choose four preset EQs or two custom modes.
I spent my time testing these with Bass Boost and Vocal. Bass Boost gives music a little extra body, while Vocal is a good fit for podcasts and YouTube videos. Neither changes the basic character of these headphones, but they are useful when you want to nudge the sound in a particular direction.
Multipoint works exactly as it should. I had the OpenRun Pro 2 paired to my phone and MacBook, and moving between them was straightforward. Bluetooth 5.3 connection was reliable in my time with it too. Pairing was quick, range never became a worry, and I did not face dropouts during daily use.
The only codec here is SBC. In a pair of premium TWS earbuds, that would be far more annoying. Here, it is not a deal-breaker. The physical design has bigger limits than codec support ever will.
Wear detection is the feature I missed most. Take the headset off and your music keeps playing. It is a minor annoyance, but at ₹17,999, automatic pause would have been nice.
There is no noise cancellation or transparency setting. That is by design. The OpenRun Pro 2 leaves your ears uncovered, but you still need to use common sense with the volume.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Battery Life</h2>
This headset is easy to charge and forget about. Shokz rates it for up to 12 hours, and in my use that meant more than a week between charges. Keep your sessions short or skip a few days, and getting close to two weeks is possible. That is a real advantage over true wireless earbuds, which rely on a case that itself needs attention.
USB-C makes the experience much easier. Earlier Shokz products used a proprietary magnetic cable, so swapping to a normal port is a genuine upgrade. A five-minute charge is good for up to 2.5 hours of listening. Full charging takes roughly an hour.
The only complication is the IP55 rating. It is fine for sweat and the occasional splash, but I would still avoid making a wet-weather run with these. For outdoor-first headphones at this price, stronger water resistance would have made far more sense.
<h2>Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Verdict</h2>
The OpenRun Pro 2 is Shokz at its best. It understands that runners and walkers want a soundtrack without becoming unaware of the road around them. The sound quality is the biggest improvement. DualPitch gives this pair enough bass and body that music no longer feels like a compromise you have to make for safety.
It is also comfortable, very light, and easy to live with. I liked the physical controls, USB-C charging, long battery life and low sound leakage. Get the right size, and it feels secure without becoming distracting.
A few reservations remain. It is expensive. Plus it gets no wear detection feels mean at this price, and IP55 is too modest compared with the cheaper OpenRun&rsquo;s IP67 protection. Bass is better, but it is still not the reason to buy this over good in-ears.
That is fine, because the OpenRun Pro 2 has a different job. For outdoor workouts, walks and measured cycling, it is one of the most sensible and enjoyable open-ear headphones available.

Read our Oppo Enco X4 review covering sound quality, adaptive ANC, call performance, AI features, connectivity and battery life of up to 52 hours.

Oppo Enco X4 Review: Sound, ANC, Battery Life & Features

The Oppo Enco X4 brings Dynaudio-tuned audio, adaptive ANC, LHDC lossless support, AI tools and up to 52 hours of tested battery life. Here's what you need to know.

Oppo Enco X4 Review: Premium Sound Meets Smarter Features

The Oppo Enco X4 offers Dynaudio-tuned sound, adaptive ANC, AI features and up to 52 hours of tested playback, but several smart features require compatible Oppo or OnePlus phones.

Premium earbuds need to get several things right beyond just delivering great audio. Good noise cancellation, crisp call quality, a comfortable fit, and practical everyday features all matter when you're spending this much. At ₹19,999, the Oppo Enco X4 packs quite a punch on paper, with Dynaudio-tuned dual drivers, LHDC lossless audio, adaptive ANC, and a host of AI-powered additions. These include live translation, hands-free Google Gemini access, and the ability to use the earbuds as external microphones with compatible Oppo phones. But can they stand out in an increasingly crowded flagship earbuds market?&nbsp;
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Premium Design Meets Everyday Comfort</h2>
The Oppo Enco X4 keeps things understated rather than going for an attention-grabbing design, but there are enough little details to give it a premium feel. The charging case mixes matte and glossy finishes, complemented by a star-shaped ring accent and Dynaudio branding. The metallic-style edges add to the overall look, making the package feel a step above your usual pair of wireless earbuds. We received the Glacier White variant for this review, although Aurora Violet is also available in select markets.
At 5.6 grams per earbud, the Enco X4 is light enough to wear throughout the day. Oppo puts the combined weight of the case and earbuds at 50.9 grams, so carrying them around shouldn't be a hassle either. Comfort, however, depends just as much on the fit as it does on weight.
Oppo has paid particular attention to the silicone ear tips, developing their redesigned shape using insights from more than 2,800 ear-canal scans. The foamed silicone material takes inspiration from sound-insulating technology used in high-speed trains, with the goal of easing pressure and fitting a wider variety of ears. Four tip sizes are included, making it easier to find a comfortable seal. That's important not just for a secure fit, but also for getting the best out of the active noise cancellation.
The IP55 rating adds another practical advantage, offering protection against dust and water splashes during workouts or daily commutes. Just remember that this protection applies to the earbuds, not the charging case.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: How Good Does It Sound? </h2>
Audio is clearly one of the biggest selling points of the Oppo Enco X4, and the hardware suggests Oppo means business. Each earbud features an 11mm TRF-diaphragm woofer paired with a 6mm planar-diaphragm tweeter, handling bass and treble separately. Oppo claims the new woofer offers 67% greater low-frequency driving power than the one used in the Enco X3, promising a more powerful foundation for your music.
There's more going on under the hood. Both drivers get their own dedicated DAC, giving each earbud two DACs in total. Oppo has also extended its collaboration with Dynaudio into its sixth year, introducing five sound profiles designed for different listening preferences. You can opt for a balanced presentation, clearer vocals, brighter highs, punchier bass, or a high-resolution profile that focuses on finer details.
Prefer to fine-tune things yourself? The built-in 10-band equaliser gives you plenty of room to experiment with frequencies. You can also import and share custom sound profiles, which is a nice addition for anyone who likes having greater control over their audio.
The Enco X4 also brings lossless wireless audio to an Oppo TWS product for the first time. Its LHDC Lossless support allows transmission at up to 2.3Mbps, with 24-bit/48kHz playback, alongside Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. There's a catch, though: you'll need a compatible Oppo Find X-series smartphone, enable the feature, and use suitable lossless music files.
Spatial Audio adds another layer, offering Off, Fixed, and Head Tracking modes. The latter adjusts the perceived sound direction as you move your head, creating a more immersive experience with compatible content.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Noise Cancellation &amp; Call Performance</h2>
The Oppo Enco X4 is designed to keep unwanted noise at bay, and its noise-cancellation setup gets a substantial hardware and software upgrade. It combines newly developed ear tips with three microphones, a 6nm NPU, and AI-powered processing. Oppo claims the ANC performance is twice as effective as the Enco X3, with speech-frequency noise reduction improving by 30%.
The adaptive mode is built to respond to your surroundings, whether you're travelling on the metro, walking beside busy traffic, or sitting inside a cab or aeroplane. It adjusts the level of isolation automatically, while three manual intensity settings let you decide how much ambient sound you want to block.
Conversation Awareness is another useful addition. When the earbuds detect that you're speaking, they lower the music volume and activate maximum transparency, making it easier to talk without removing them. Once the conversation ends, your previous listening settings kick back in.
For calls, Oppo's Clear Call technology uses the three microphones, a dedicated voice-pickup unit, and the onboard NPU to filter background sounds and prioritise your voice. The idea is to make conversations easier to follow even in noisy environments. However, how well it handles blaring traffic, gusty winds, or several people talking nearby is what will really determine its effectiveness during everyday use.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Connectivity, AI Tools &amp; Smart Features</h2>
The Oppo Enco X4 offers plenty of flexibility if you regularly switch between multiple devices. Bluetooth 6.1 and dual-device connectivity allow the earbuds to remain paired with two devices at once, making it easy to jump between your smartphone and laptop without having to reconnect every time. They work with Android, iOS, and Windows devices, while compatible Oppo and OnePlus smartphones get additional Smart Bluetooth features. Oppo claims a connection range of up to 400 metres outdoors and around 100 square metres indoors, though actual performance will depend on obstacles and interference. You can manage the available settings through the HeyMelody app.
Everyday controls are fairly versatile, with customisable taps and swipes for managing playback and volume. Spotify Tap is also supported, providing quick access to personalised music suggestions without needing to unlock your phone. On compatible Oppo devices, double-tap gestures can trigger the camera shutter or start video recording. You can even use head movements to answer or reject incoming calls.
Content creators get a particularly interesting addition in Clear Audio Recording. This feature turns the earbuds into an external microphone when paired with supported Oppo Find X-series phones. Dolby processing, binaural transmission, and AI-based noise reduction aim to retain stereo sound positioning while cutting down unwanted noise. For the intended experience, Oppo recommends using a Find X10-series device or newer.
The smart features extend to AI Live Translation, too. On select Oppo and OnePlus phones running ColorOS 17 or later, translated audio plays through the earbuds while the corresponding text appears on the phone. It's potentially handy for meetings, lectures, and conversations across languages. Google Gemini is also accessible through voice commands or touch gestures, giving you a way to access AI assistance without constantly reaching for your phone.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Features That Make Everyday Use Better</h2>
The Oppo Enco X4 has a few tricks up its sleeve beyond the usual audio features. Neck Health is one such addition, using the earbuds&rsquo; sensors to monitor posture, assess neck movement, spot possible signs of fatigue, and recommend exercises. You&rsquo;ll need a compatible Oppo or OnePlus phone to use it, and while it could be useful for everyday awareness, it shouldn&rsquo;t be considered a replacement for medical guidance.
The earbuds also offer sleep detection, automatically pausing music when you doze off. It&rsquo;s a handy touch if you often fall asleep with your favourite tracks playing, although the feature doesn&rsquo;t currently extend to video apps.
Then there&rsquo;s Sound Space, which brings together ambient soundscapes inspired by settings such as beaches, forests, and Zen temples. Whether you want to relax or block out distractions while working, these sounds can help set the mood. You can launch the feature using a triple-pinch gesture on supported Oppo and OnePlus phones or through the HeyMelody app on Android and iOS.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Battery Life &amp; Charging Speeds</h2>
Battery endurance is a definite plus for the Oppo Enco X4. During my testing, the earbuds lasted about 13 hours on a charge, with the case extending total listening time to roughly 52 hours. Turning on ANC made a noticeable difference, bringing these figures down to around six hours for the buds and 26 hours with the case.
Oppo advertises up to 53 hours of combined playback, but that figure comes with ANC disabled, AAC audio, and the volume set to 50%. Your mileage will vary depending on how loudly you listen, which codec you use, and whether features such as noise cancellation stay active.
Inside, the charging case houses a 576mAh battery, while each earbud gets a 65mAh cell. A wired charge takes approximately 55 minutes for the earbuds alone, or 65 minutes for the complete setup. Wireless charging, where supported, takes around 150 minutes. In a hurry, a 10-minute top-up can reportedly deliver up to 14 hours of playback with the case under Oppo's specified test conditions.
<h2>Oppo Enco X4 Review: Should You Buy Them at ₹19,999?</h2>
At ₹19,999, the Oppo Enco X4 faces stiff competition, so a decent pair of drivers and effective ANC alone wouldn't cut it. Thankfully, there's more to these earbuds than the basics. The dual-driver setup, dedicated DACs, Dynaudio tuning options, 10-band EQ, LHDC lossless audio, and Spatial Audio make them a compelling pick for anyone who likes fine-tuning their listening experience.
There's a healthy mix of practical extras, too, including adaptive noise cancellation, clearer calls, Bluetooth 6.1, dual-device connectivity, live translation, Google Gemini integration, and generous battery life with ANC disabled.
The biggest catch is how much the experience depends on your phone. Several headline features are reserved for compatible Oppo and OnePlus devices, leaving iPhone users and owners of other Android phones with a less complete package. Battery endurance also takes a noticeable hit when ANC is active.
If you're already invested in Oppo or OnePlus, the Enco X4 is worth considering. For everyone else, its premium price deserves a little more thought.

The HP OmniPad 12 brings a large 90Hz display, bundled keyboard and Desk Mode. We check if its performance and battery life justify the ₹54,999 price tag

HP OmniPad 12 review: A capable Android tablet not without compromise

HP gets plenty right with its first Android tablet, including the screen, keyboard and battery. But can it really replace a laptop?

<h3>HP&rsquo;s OmniPad 12 offers a large display, bundled keyboard and useful Desk Mode, but its very average performance holds it back at ₹54,999.</h3>

Android tablets have always had a bit of an identity crisis. They are more comfortable than phones for watching films, reading, scrolling and replying to emails, but most have never quite convinced me that they can take over from a laptop. HP thinks its OmniPad 12 can change that.
At ₹54,999, it arrives at an interesting time. Laptops have become painfully expensive, and finding a genuinely capable thin-and-light machine at this price is now harder than it should be. HP is therefore not asking buyers to choose between two like-for-like products. It is offering a portable 12-inch Android tablet with a keyboard case included, a proper Desk Mode for windowed work, a large battery and the familiarity of Android.
After using it for work and entertainment, I found HP gets key things right. The question is whether that makes it a work machine or merely a tablet with laptop ambitions.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Design and Build</h2>
The OmniPad 12 does not chase a memorable silhouette, and I rather like that. It looks like an HP machine shrunk into a tablet: clean lines, a flat aluminium rear, a matching metal frame and a large HP logo sitting right in the middle. It is simple and feels properly put together, without creaks or flex when you pick it up.
At 7.3mm thick and 600g, the tablet is not featherweight, but the weight is spread well enough that I never found it unpleasant to hold during a film or reading session. You can get lighter rivals, but this does not feel like a cheap slab. Denim Blue has more character than the usual silver or grey, while Meteor Silver is available for buyers who want something quieter.
HP has placed the power button on the left edge in landscape orientation, with the volume rocker along the top. It is a sensible layout, though the two volume keys sit close together. There is also a microSD slot, a USB-C port and, thankfully, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The bundled folio changes the experience. Its rubberised outer finish feels pleasant, the rear flap works as a kickstand, and magnets keep the cover shut. With the keyboard attached, though, the package weighs roughly 1.25kg. It is still easy to carry, just no longer a carefree little tablet.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Display and Speakers</h2>
The 12-inch LCD panel is one of the OmniPad&rsquo;s best selling points. It has a 2000 x 1200 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of brightness. None of that sounds exotic in 2026, but the screen works well for what HP is trying to do here.
Text looks sharp when I am working through a long document, browsing Chrome or reading on Kindle. The 90Hz refresh rate also helps the tablet feel livelier than its processor sometimes allows, especially while scrolling through webpages. The large canvas is handy when you have a document open beside a chat window, or when you are watching a show after work.
Colour is pleasantly punchy for an LCD, and the white balance does not look overly warm or cold. It is not an OLED panel, so blacks lack that inky depth and darker scenes do expose the display&rsquo;s limits. I also noticed backlight bleed on our unit, although it was mainly visible in a dark room with dark content on screen. That may be a unit-specific issue, but it is worth checking before buying.
Brightness is fine indoors and serviceable outdoors, provided the sun is not directly overhead. The glossy surface reflects enough light to become annoying in harsh conditions. The bezels are neither huge nor remarkably slim, but they do give your thumbs somewhere to rest when holding the tablet horizontally. HP&rsquo;s quad speakers complete an enjoyable streaming setup: they are loud, clear and nicely separated, even if bass remains fairly restrained.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Performance</h2>
Performance is where the OmniPad 12 starts sounding more ambitious than it really is. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is a hexa-core chip with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and it is fine for straightforward tablet work. Emails, web browsing, document editing, streaming, video calls and light games all run well enough. I played BGMI without the tablet becoming a hot, unhappy mess, which is more than I expected from this hardware.
The numbers tell a less flattering story. It returned 949,858 in AnTuTu, 885 &nbsp;in Geekbench 7&rsquo;s single-core and 2,664 in the multi-core test.&nbsp;
The bigger problem is Desk Mode. Ask the OmniPad to keep multiple windows moving at once, resize an app, then jump quickly between Chrome, Docs and a chat window, and you will occasionally see stutters or a short wait for an app to catch up. It never becomes unusable, but it does chip away at the laptop-replacement idea.
Thermals are well handled, however. The aluminium body disperses heat well, and performance remains stable over longer sessions. It is also reassuringly cool when you use it with the keyboard for hours daily. For light work, it is perfectly competent. For people who genuinely multitask all day, HP should have used a faster processor.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Software</h2>
HP&rsquo;s clean take on Android 16 is the OmniPad 12&rsquo;s most interesting feature. In Tablet Mode, it feels familiar immediately: the home screen is uncluttered, apps behave as expected and there is very little unnecessary software getting in the way. If you are coming from a phone, there is almost no learning curve.
Connect the keyboard through its pogo pins and the tablet offers to shift into Desk Mode. This is HP&rsquo;s Windows-inspired interface, and it does a lot more than simply stretch Android apps across the screen. You get a taskbar along the bottom, pinned apps, a system tray for notifications and quick settings, plus windows you can resize, move and snap into sensible positions. Keyboard shortcuts for screenshots, brightness, navigation and app controls also make sense from day one.
I found Desk Mode handy for writing with a browser open beside WhatsApp or Gmail. It lets the tablet feel more like a workstation without making the normal Android side awkward. Switching back to Tablet Mode is equally painless, which matters because you will probably use both modes often.
There are limits. Android apps are not designed around freely resizable windows, so some still look a touch odd when stretched or squeezed. Animations can also hitch when there is plenty happening on screen, particularly during heavier multitasking. Still, HP has built a clean, sensible desktop layer rather than a gimmick. Desk Mode cannot defeat the hardware, but it does make the OmniPad 12 more useful than an Android tablet.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Keyboard and Accessories</h2>
HP deserves credit for putting the keyboard case in the box. It is essential at ₹54,999; selling it separately would make the OmniPad 12 a far tougher sell. This is not a token cover either. You get a folio that protects both sides, a rear kickstand and a detachable keyboard that connects through pogo pins.
The keyboard is wide enough for relaxed, accurate typing. It has sensible spacing, decent travel and clicky keys. It feels closer to a compact laptop keyboard than the cramped accessories bundled with many tablets. The shortcut row helps too. It handles volume, brightness, mode switching, navigation, search, screenshots and Gemini with very little fuss.
The trackpad is the less impressive half. It is tiny, and the physical click feels stiff enough that dragging files or selecting text requires more effort than it should. Tracking itself is fine, but anyone who works for long stretches will still want a proper wireless mouse.
The cover&rsquo;s kickstand gives you several useful angles and the keyboard sleeps the tablet when closed. There is no bundled stylus, however, which is a missed opportunity for notes, sketching or annotation. It is a thoughtful keyboard package, just not an entirely laptop-grade one.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Cameras</h2>
Cameras are rarely the reason to buy a tablet, and the OmniPad 12 does not try to change that. The rear 13MP sensor can scan documents, capture a whiteboard or take a quick reference photo, but the results are merely adequate. Detail falls away quickly, processing is basic and low-light shots are best avoided. Your phone will do a better job.
The 8MP front camera matters more. It sits in the landscape bezel, which is where it should be for video calls. Framing is wide enough for meetings, and faces look clear indoors. It is usable for Google Meet, Zoom or a call.
Video maxes out at 1080p/30fps. There is no flash and no zoom worth using. For calls and scans, though, it is fine.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Battery life and Charging</h2>
Battery life is the OmniPad 12&rsquo;s strongest practical feature. HP quotes up to 18 hours, and while that figure will depend on brightness, refresh rate and what you are doing, this tablet can cover a day of use. Writing, browsing, video calls, YouTube, music and a handful of browser tabs did not create battery anxiety.
That's thanks to the dual cell 31Wh battery. With Desk Mode and the display at 90Hz, expect roughly a working day rather than a second day. Heavy gaming or streaming will drain it faster, but most will leave the charger at home.
Charging is where HP loses momentum. The supplied 33W adapter is welcome, especially when brands increasingly remove chargers from the box, but it is not especially quick. A full charge takes around two and a half hours in our testing. That is slow for a device sold as a work companion, particularly if you forget to charge overnight. The upside is simple: given the tablet&rsquo;s dependable endurance, you should not find yourself needing that emergency top-up very often at all.
<h2>HP OmniPad 12 Review: Verdict</h2>
HP&rsquo;s first serious Android tablet is a likeable product with a personality. The OmniPad 12 is not trying to beat gaming tablets or challenge an iPad on polish. It is for people who spend their day typing, reading, browsing, attending calls and streaming content. The included keyboard is why that idea works.
There is plenty to like. The metal build feels solid, the 12-inch screen is good for work and entertainment, Desk Mode is clever, and battery life is dependable. HP also keeps the software clean, includes a headphone jack and microSD expansion, and puts the keyboard in the box.
But ₹54,999 is serious money. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is adequate, not impressive, and multitasking exposes it quickly. Charging is slow, the trackpad needs work, and the display is decent rather than exceptional. More powerful tablets exist around this price, even if keyboards raise their final cost.
Would I buy it as my only computer? No. But as a portable work-and-entertainment device for students, frequent travellers or anyone who values a keyboard in the box, the OmniPad 12 makes a sensible case. It is a good first attempt from HP, not yet the laptop killer it wants to be.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max review: Can three 200MP cameras, a huge 8,000mAh battery and ColorOS 17 justify its ₹1,99,999 price?

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: A ₹2 Lakh Camera Beast

Three 200MP cameras, two-day battery life and polished software. Is Oppo’s ₹1,99,999 flagship worth the asking price?

<h3>The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max brings three consistent 200MP cameras, excellent battery life, a brilliant display and ColorOS 17 polish, but it is also very expensive, even for a flagship.</h3>

Oppo is not playing safe with the Find X10 Pro Max. Its new ultra-flagship pairs three 200MP rear cameras with an 8,000mAh battery, MediaTek&rsquo;s latest Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and ColorOS 17. That is a spectacular specification list, but it also comes with a spectacular ₹1,99,999 price tag.
The bigger question is whether the phone earns it, because at that price, it&rsquo;s even more expensive than the base iPhone 18 Pro Max. Oppo&rsquo;s previous camera flagships, particularly the Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra, already made a strong case against the iPhone and Samsung&rsquo;s best. The X10 Pro Max wants to go further, promising a camera system without a weak lens, proper two-day battery life and performance that can keep up with almost anything.
After spending a week using it instead of my iPhone 18 Pro Max, the decision was less straightforward than expected. This review looks at whether Oppo&rsquo;s most ambitious phone yet is good enough to become your main flagship.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Design</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max wears its ₹1,99,999 price with confidence. Its glass-and-aluminium body is solidly made, carefully finished and immediately feels like it belongs in the ultra-flagship category. The flat matte aluminium frame is particularly good. It keeps fingerprints down and, together with the gently curved sides, makes a large phone easier to hold than its dimensions suggest.
That said, this is not a light handset. The Luna White version weighs 233g, while Titanium Grey is 235g, and the camera assembly shifts some of that weight towards the top. You notice it initially, especially when holding it one-handed, but it is not something that ruined the experience over a week of use.
Oppo offers Titanium Grey and Luna White. Titanium Grey uses sculpted glass for a cleaner, more restrained look. Luna White is more distinctive, with a moon-inspired, two-tone back. Matte glass meets a fabric-like pattern below the camera, while the silver LUMO camera surround, knurled edging and orange Hasselblad accent reference classic camera design without becoming gaudy.
That rear section is in two pieces: a prominent black lens module at the top and a smaller, pill-shaped section below for the True Colour Camera and twin flash. The result is distinctive, though there is no disguising how much space the camera hardware occupies.
Oppo includes its configurable Snap Key on the left side of the frame, alongside the standard power and volume controls. It can be assigned to shortcuts such as AI Mind Space, screenshots and voice recording.
The 6.78-inch display stretches close to the edges, helped by its 1.15mm symmetrical bezels. Oppo has also covered both sides with Crystal Guard Glass and added IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection, alongside SGS five-star drop resistance.
There is nothing missing on connectivity either: dual-SIM support, eSIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.2, NFC and USB 3.2 Gen 1 are all included. At this price, that is exactly as it should be. It is a design that balances bold camera hardware with genuinely thoughtful finishing from every angle.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Display &amp; Audio</h2>
Display quality is one reason the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max feels premium. The 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED panel is sharp at 2772&times;1272 and 450ppi, but its real advantage is how controlled it looks. It is not merely bright or colourful. It has the range to make HDR content look measured.
The panel varies from 1Hz to 120Hz, reaches 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode and has a 3,600-nit peak. In real-world use, that means no struggle reading navigation, messages or camera controls in hard sunlight. Indoors, it can also fall to one nit and uses high-frequency PWM dimming in low light, helpful at night.
Oppo&rsquo;s 95 per cent BT.2020 coverage is worth noting. The wider gamut goes beyond the DCI-P3 colour space found on most flagship phones, allowing compatible HDR material to preserve richer shades without pushing everything into cartoon territory. Dolby Vision films and streaming shows benefit most. Highlights have impact, shadow detail remains visible, and colour has more nuance.
The interface runs at 120Hz for most everyday tasks, making scrolls and transitions look fluid. It can move to 144Hz in supported titles such as BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile and Free Fire Max, but that rate is not available across the system.
The 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader is fast and dependable.&nbsp;
Audio comes from a symmetrical stereo pair that gets loud, keeps voices clear and gives video a decent sense of separation. They lack dramatic bass, but they are very capable for YouTube, music and casual streaming.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Cameras</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max makes its strongest case through the camera system. The Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra were already among the better smartphone cameras available, but this phone raises the hardware stakes with a 200MP main camera, 200MP ultra-wide and 200MP 70mm periscope telephoto. All three were co-developed with Hasselblad, and just as importantly, they deliver a similar character when you move between focal lengths.
That consistency matters more than the headline resolution. Images are detailed and lively, but they do not rely on exaggerated sharpening or aggressive saturation to look impressive. Skin tones are more natural, contrast is better judged, and the cameras preserve a scene&rsquo;s mood instead of lifting every dark area until it looks artificial.
The 1/1.3-inch main camera uses Oppo&rsquo;s DeepPix sensor technology. In simple terms, it gives each pixel more room to capture and retain light information, allowing the sensor to deliver up to 17 stops of dynamic range. The advantage is clearest in difficult night scenes. With bright signs, streetlights and deep shadows in the same frame, the Find X10 Pro Max can retain highlight detail without sacrificing the darker parts of the composition. It does this while keeping the result more camera-like than heavily processed.
The ultra-wide has a 200MP 1/1.56-inch sensor and autofocus, which makes it far more capable than the usual token wide-angle camera. It captures clean landscapes, maintains detail towards the edges, and also works well for macro photography. The 70mm 200MP periscope camera is excellent for portraits and close-ups, with convincing subject separation and plenty of detail. Its high-resolution sensor can also produce useful crops at longer zoom levels.
The 50MP autofocus selfie camera remains detailed without overly smoothing faces. Video is another highlight. All three rear cameras record 4K at 60fps and 120fps, along with 8K at 30fps, while Dolby Vision HDR helps in high-contrast scenes. Creators also get O-Log2, real-time LUT monitoring and Open Gate recording, which uses more of the sensor area to make reframing easier in post. It is one of the most complete camera and video packages on a phone right now.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Performance</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is India&rsquo;s first phone with MediaTek&rsquo;s Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. Built on a 2nm process, it is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 9,600Mbps, while storage is 512GB of UFS 4.1. It is an uncompromising specification, and the phone is as quick in everyday use as that hardware suggests.
Its AnTuTu score of 4,241,576 is the highest we have recorded. The Geekbench 7 result is strong, at 2,584 for single-core performance and 9,336 for multi-core, although other flagship chips have posted higher figures in that test.
The more complicated result comes from 3DMark Wild Life Extreme. The Find X10 Pro Max produced a best loop score of 6,049 but dropped to 1,379, leaving it with a 22.8 per cent stability rating. That is unusually low for a phone in this class, and it points to inconsistent sustained GPU behaviour under synthetic stress. It is worth noting, though, that this was not reflected in normal use. A software update may well improve the result.
Apps open immediately, camera processing is rapid, and the phone handles multitasking with little effort. ColorOS 17 also feels well matched to the hardware, with no sense that the interface is slowing the experience down.
Gaming is excellent. BGMI held between 140fps and 144fps at its 144Hz setting, including in heavier scenes, while Call of Duty: Mobile delivered comparable results. The phone warms up during long sessions but never becomes alarmingly hot, and its performance holds up well after an hour. It is capable of genuine flagship performance, whether you are gaming, shooting video or simply moving through a busy day.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Software</h2>
ColorOS 17 is the most polished software Oppo has produced so far. It is quick, visually confident and far more cohesive than earlier versions, matching the Find X10 Pro Max&rsquo;s flagship hardware rather than feeling like a layer placed on top of it. Navigation is responsive, the interface is cleaner, and there is very little friction in everyday use.
The main visual overhaul is Living Flow Design. Oppo divides it into Luminous Effect, Fluid Motion and Flexible Feedback. Luminous Effect brings extra translucency and soft lighting to panels, controls and media elements. Fluid Motion is designed to carry interface elements from one state to another rather than replacing them abruptly. Flexible Feedback makes buttons and panels react to touch with stretch, light and bounce effects.
Behind this sits the Luminous Rendering Engine. The result is that pulling down Quick Settings, opening a menu, moving an app window or returning to the home screen feels connected rather than like a chain of unrelated animations. The updated icons, widgets and folders are easier to read, while the Control Centre is better organised. It makes the operating system feel more immediate without slowing it down.
AI is a major part of ColorOS 17. AI Mind Space is designed as a searchable store for the information that usually gets lost between screenshots, links, notes and voice recordings. Plus Mind can capture the relevant content from your screen and add it to that space, letting the system organise it into collections that are easier to revisit.
AI Mind Pilot is more ambitious. Oppo describes it as an agentic assistant that can work with services such as ChatGPT and Manus. Rather than simply answering a prompt, it can understand the task, pull together relevant information and complete parts of a multi-step action. It can help plan an itinerary, find images and organise an album, among other tasks.
AI Photo Agent is the consumer-friendly counterpart. It can make edits through plain-language instructions, including changes to lighting, composition and retouching, or it can work from a reference image. The phone also includes AI Call Guard for detecting suspicious synthetic voices and AI Face Swap Detection for flagging manipulated faces. The feature list is extensive, but ColorOS 17&rsquo;s real success is making it all feel useful rather than overwhelming.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Battery Life</h2>
Battery life is one of the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max&rsquo;s clear advantages. Its 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery turns it into a two-day phone for users. Heavy camera use, long streaming sessions, navigation, social media and gaming still left enough charge to finish the day without concern.
That endurance changes the experience. A busy day does not automatically mean carrying a power bank.
The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, and reverse wired and wireless charging for accessories. It is not the quickest charging setup among ultra-flagships, and an 8,000mAh battery will always take time to fill. But the trade-off is easy to accept when the phone spends so much less time connected to a charger.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Verdict</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max costs ₹1,99,999, which is more than what you would pay for a base iPhone 18 Pro Max. But, I will say this, it earns it&rsquo;s place by being far more than a camera phone.
Its three 200MP rear cameras are the attraction. They offer excellent consistency across focal lengths, natural image processing and strong video tools. More importantly, the rest of the experience is polished. The display is outstanding, ColorOS 17 is Oppo&rsquo;s strongest software release, battery life excels, and the Dimensity 9600 Pro has all the performance expected from an ultra-flagship.
There are caveats. It is large and heavy, while the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stability result is unusual enough to warrant attention. The 80W charging system is not the fastest at this level either, though an 8,000mAh battery was never going to be refilled instantly.
Those points do not undermine the phone&rsquo;s central appeal. The Find X10 Pro Max does not force buyers to choose between a great camera and a complete flagship experience. It delivers both.
After using it in place of an iPhone 18 Pro Max, I am keeping my main SIM in the Oppo for now. For a phone entering this price bracket, that is a remarkably strong endorsement.
