JD Vance couch memes are overshadowing the US election campaign. It has just been two weeks since former President Donald Trump picked Senator JD Vance as his running mate. And, Vance is getting all the attention but in a bizarre way

Rumour mills claims that Vance had sex with his couch. It began when an X post falsely claiming that Vance admitted to having sex in his memoir 'Hillbilly Elegy'.

The now limited account on X rickrudescalves wrote, "can't say for sure but he might be the first VP pick to have admitted in a new york times bestseller to fucking an inside out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions (vance, hillbilly elegy. page.179 to 181)"

News agency AP even did a fact-check, but strangely it pulled down the report later.

The article, which was tagged with an authoritative “AP Fact Check” header, was titled “No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch."

AP's fact check included scanning through a searchable PDF of the memoir for the word 'couch' or 'couches, it came up 10 times in total, though not in the context of a sexual act.

On his popular show, comic John Oliver also talked about Vance and the rumour about him having sex with couch. The comedian said he can totally believe in the rumour.
