"More than 1.5 million people have been displaced and people are searching for shelters anywhere they can find," he said.

As Israel cut off the humanitarian corridor barring any aid to enter the region the healthcare infrastructure has been crippled. 36 hospitals, two third of primary health care centers in Gaza are non-functional as per reports.

Director General of the Palestine Red Crescent, Marwan Jilani on November 12, urged the Security Council and the International community to ensure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and to ensure fuel reaches Gaza immediately to avoid further unnecessary deaths.
