WATCH: Russia shares video of military drones on combat duty in Ukraine

The Russian Defence Ministry on Wednesday released footage of Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles on combat duty in Ukraine.

The video shared by news agency AP shows Russian soldiers unpacking parts of a drone which are then assembled to make the drone flight-ready.

Apart from the ammunition, the drone is also equipped with camera which gives a constant feed to control rooms.

The drone takes off from the launching pad and operators in Russian control rooms can be seen monitoring the besieged areas of Ukraine where the drone flies.

The ministry in a statement said that the drones "perform tactical-range reconnaissance flights for coordinating heavy armour activity on the ground."

"While flying combat missions, Orlan-10 crews constantly record and broadcast to command centers UAF (Ukrainian Armed Forces) and nationalist batallion positions."
