Watch: plane lands in Taiwan with missing wheel, all passengers safe

A plane run by Singapore-based low-budget airline Scoot was found to have a missing nose wheel after landing at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport early on Monday after a flight from Seoul.

In the footage from local news channel EBC, the plane was seen taxiing on tarmac with one nose wheel missing.

The plane had landed safely and no one was injured.

According to a report by Central News Agency, the tyre pressure level had been detected as abnormal before the flight's descent.

After landing, the left nose wheel was missing, and the axle also appeared to be worn.

The Scoot flight failed to fly from Taoyuan Airport back to Singapore due to the loss of the left nose wheel.

Scoot issued a statement stating that flight TR897 from Incheon to Singapore via Taipei discovered a technical failure when it landed in Taipei.

According to the Ministry of Transportation, the Civil Aeronautics Administration and relevant authorities will investigate the incident.
