Watch: Elon Musk at US-Mexico border for 'unfiltered' view of immigration crisis

Elon Musk turned citizen journalist on Thursday as he visited Eagle Pass, a US-Mexico border area in Texas. Musk said he wanted to see for himself what is going on at the borders and get an unfiltered view.

His visit comes amid a surge in migrants coming into the US from Mexico via Texas, Arizona and California.

Musk toured the area with US Representative Tony Gonzales, a Republican from Texas.

The Tesla CEO uploaded several videos on X from his visit.

In his video, Musk said that as an immigrant himself, he is pro-immigrant. He said that the legal immigration system needs to expand to let anyone who is hardworking and honest enter the US.

He, however, said that anyone who is breaking the law should not be allowed in the country.
