Thai politician caught in bed with adopted son, a monk, by husband

A female Thai politician, Prapaporn Choeiwadkoh, has become a subject of debate on the internet after reports came that she had an affair with her adopted son, who is a monk.

The 45-year-old woman had an affair with 24-year-old Phra Maha and they both were caught in bed by the politician’s husband.

The husband, identified by the outlet as Ti, drove for five hours to catch the woman red-handed as he already had suspicions of the affair.

The couple adopted Phra Maha, who is now on the run, in 2023 from a temple after Choeiwadkoh said she felt sorry for him.

"This news is explosive, with too many elements. It sounds like pure fiction. The world of the wealthy is indeed fascinating and chaotic," South China Morning Post (SCMP) quoted one user as saying on X.

"A 64-year-old husband, a 45-year-old wife, and a 24-year-old adopted son who is a monk? This is such a mess. It sounds more like keeping a boy-toy rather than adoption. Even dramas don't dare to script this," said another.

A video of the politician with the monk on bed has also surfaced on various social media platforms that reports say was recorded by Ti.

In the video, both were seen naked on the bed in a room. As Ti opens the door of the room holding his camera, both jumped from the bed and closed the door.

She has been suspended from her post and an investigation is on in the case.
