October 7 Anniversary: Hamas Targets Tel Aviv With Rockets, Sirens Go Off

Hamas hit Israeli capital Tel Aviv on the Oct 7 attack anniversary. IDF activated sirens in central Israel as Hamas fired rockets from Gaza.

Reportedly, sirens sounded in parts of Tel Aviv & as well as Holon, Lezion. IDF said at least four rockets were launched from besieged strip. IDF had carried out a fresh operation in Gaza before the Oct 7 attack anniversary. IDF had claimed that fresh op was to prevent an Oct 7 repeat.

There are no immediate reports of injuries in the attack: local media. IDF claimed 4 rockets were fired, 3 downed; one hit an open area. Hamas in a statement took responsibility for rocket fire on Tel Aviv. On Oct 7, 2023, Hamas stormed Israel as part of ‘Al Aqsa Flood Op’.

A year after the attack, Israel is yet to recover all its hostages from Gaza, Hamas continues to operate in Gaza, and maintains civil control.
