Instagram sensation Kili Paul, famous for Bollywood lip sync, attacked

Internet sensation Kili Paul whose videos lip syncing to Indian film songs became instant hits on social media has been injured after being attacked with knife and sticks.

Posting details about the incident on his Instagram story, Paul said that he was attacked by five people and has five stitches after the assault.

He also shared a video which shows him lying on a stretcher with a bandaged thumb and injury marks on his legs.

Paul has however not revealed who the attackers were.

Kili Paul is from Tanzania and became a social media sensation after uploading videos of himself dancing and lip syncing to Indian films songs. He initially started with Hindi songs and later started posting videos with Telegu songs.

His sister Neema also often features in his videos.

The dancer and content creator was honoured by the Indian High Commission in Tanzania in February this year. The brother-sister duo also found special mention in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat' that month.
