10-day quarantine for U.K. travellers arriving in India; here are the new rules

As the Indian government decided on a 'reciprocal treatment' to foreign travellers under new visa conditions, here's a look at the new policies for the U.K. nationals arriving in India from October 4:

• All UK nationals flying into the country will have to undertake an RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to their departure, irrespective of their vaccination status.
• Travellers will also be required to take a Covid-19 test on arrival and eight days after landing.
• A 10-day quarantine will be mandatory for the flyers at home or the destination address.
• All such passengers under isolation/quarantine shall be regularly monitored by State/District Health Authorities.

Indian travellers, even those who have received both doses of the Covishield vaccine, are considered unvaccinated by the U.K. Government.
