The makers of &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo;, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, have landed in controversy days after the film was released in theatres. According to reports, EVA IVF Hospital has taken legal action against the action thriller, directed by Hari and Harish, as the film shows their hospital in a negative light.
The EVA IVF Hospital claims that the way the surrogacy mafia is shown in &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo; can harm their credibility and reputation. The Hyderabad court has reportedly responded to the case and decided in the hospital&rsquo;s favour by postponing the film&rsquo;s OTT release till December 19.

The civil court has written to the makers and ordered them to stop the film&rsquo;s digital release or premiere while the case is still ongoing.
There is no official statement from the makers of &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo; yet. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukandan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma in pivotal roles.&nbsp;

Actor Shriya Saran, whose recent release &lsquo;Drishyam 2&rsquo; is receiving a positive response at the box office, talked about Samantha Ruth Prabhu&rsquo;s myositis revelation in a recent interview. The actor said that Samantha is a strong and beautiful girl inside and out. She said the &lsquo;Theri&rsquo; actor&rsquo;s condition is just a passing phase and she will come out stronger.
Samantha, who was recently seen in the thriller film &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo;, had shared that she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, called Myositis, earlier this month.
In an Instagram post, she wrote, &lsquo;I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don&rsquo;t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days&hellip;. physically and emotionally&hellip;. and even when it feels like I can&rsquo;t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes (sic).&rsquo;
&lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo; opened to a great response and earned over Rs 30 crore at the box office.
Shriya Saran also talked about &lsquo;Drishyam 2&rsquo; which is successfully running in theatres and mentioned that her family is not able to get tickets for the film because of the high demand.
&lsquo;My mother couldn&rsquo;t get a ticket. My didis (sisters) are going to watch the film sitting in the front row on Saturday. Can you believe that?,&rsquo; she said.
She also asked if the marital status of a female actor affects their acting career, to which she replied, &lsquo;That&rsquo;s been just for the past twenty years. Before that actresses were getting married and having kids and working. It wasn&rsquo;t a big deal. Kareena Kapoor Khan changed that. And Kajol started working after marriage. So, it doesn&rsquo;t really matter.&rsquo;

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is busy promoting her latest release 'Yashoda', has opened up about the changed audience perspective towards cinema and how it is difficult for filmmakers to bring the audience to the theatres.
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the actor said, 'One can&rsquo;t deny the fact that the audiences viewing pattern has changed massively due to the pandemic and the lockdowns. It is getting harder for filmmakers to bring people to theatres, as they have all gotten used to waiting for movies to hit streaming platforms.'
Talking about 'Yashoda' and how the film is apt for theatres, she said, 'Be it the world, the setup, the visuals, and the thrills, it&rsquo;s definitely an immersive watch that deserves to be experienced on the big screen and with the right kind of audio to really experience it fully.'
Earlier, the actor had also talked about women-centric films. She said that there is no dearth of stories and that many stories are written for women or roles that are written for women on equal footing. However, the question that we really need to ask is how many people are willing to go and watch these movies? Why are these movies even categorized as women-centric? &nbsp;
&lsquo;And I think we are at crossroads right now and it&rsquo;s going to be a collective effort on everyone&rsquo;s parts to make that change,' she said.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram and shared the news with her fans that she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition Myositis.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram on Saturday and informed her fans that she has been diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune condition. She shared a photo in which was seen seated on a couch with an IV drip connected to her wrist. Samantha didn't reveal her face, but she made a heart symbol with her hands.
In her post she wrote that she is overwhelmed with the response to &lsquo;Yashodha&rsquo; trailer. She said it is the love and connection that she shares with her fans, that gives her the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at her.
She mentioned that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis a few months ago, and she was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. However, it is taking a little longer than she hoped.
Samantha added, &lsquo;I am slowly realising that we don&rsquo;t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. Previously, there were reports that Samantha went abroad for her treatment as she was unwell. The trailer of her forthcoming film &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo; released on October 27.
Samantha stars as surrogate mother Yashoda in the movie, who tries to unfold the secrets of a serious medical crime with courage. Directed by Hari and Harish, &lsquo;Yashoda&rsquo; will release on November 11.
Following this, she will be seen in the romantic drama &lsquo;Khusi&rsquo; alongside Vijay Deverakonda, which will release in theatres on December 23.
