Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passed away on November 26, 2022, after suffering multiple organ failure. The actor's last work, the web series 'Ambedkar The Legend', in which Vikram was about to portray the role of &nbsp;BR Ambedkar is likely to be scrapped by the makers.
In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, director Sanjiv Jaiswal said, 'I believe, I will have to scrap the project as without Vikramji, who played the main character of BR Ambedkar, it seems impossible. Or I&rsquo;ll have to start all over again and that surely is a difficult call! Vikramji had shot for Mumbai leg approximately two episodes for us, last year. We were supposed to create a set in Lucknow to shoot the remaining part. Last, I shot with him for my documentary slated for Baba Saheb&rsquo;s death anniversary (December 6) in my Mumbai office.'
Talking about his last conversation with the actor, he added, 'When I conceptualized and narrated to him my script on Baba Saheb, he was very excited and we started working on it. He developed a problem during his leg injury which turned big and since then he started having recurring health issues. In between, he did some shoots including his own Marathi film and we connected several times but his health did not permit him to shoot much. He was very excited for the project but it couldn&rsquo;t happen.'
The demise of Vikram Gokhale left the industry in grief. The actor is survived by his wife Vrushali and daughters Asavari and Neha.

Amitabh Bachchan penned down a note remembering popular actor and Television show host Tabassum and his friend and veteran actor Vikram Gokhale. He wrote the &lsquo;days are lined with sadness&rsquo; as they all &lsquo;played their parts and left the stage empty.' Tabassum passed away on November 19 due to cardiac arrest and Vikram Gokhale died on Saturday after multiple organ failure.
Amitabh remembered Vikram Gokhale, Tabassum and other artist friends in his blog on Sunday. He wrote, &lsquo;the days are lined with sadness... friends and colleagues... artists of huge merit, leave us day by day... and we listen see and pray... Tabassum... Vikram Gokhale and some dear ones that are close and known&hellip; they came to us in our lives... they played their parts and left the stage empty forlorn and desolate by their absence&hellip;&rsquo;
Vikram Gokhale was 77. He died in a Pune hospital where he was undergoing treatment. Amitabh worked with him in Agneepath (1990) and Khuda Gawah (1992). The two were also seen in Marathi film &lsquo;AB Ani CD.&rsquo; They played childhood friends in the film.
Tabassum was known for her roles as a child in several Hindi classics such as Baiju Bawra and Mughal-e-Azam. She also hosted popular Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. She died last week. She was 78.
Big B had earlier talked Tabassum in a blog post. He wrote, &lsquo;&hellip;they all leave us one by one... and it is beyond comprehension... you only recollect the times of their presence and life before the eyes and the mind... and they ever remain an image of the time... unchanged, unfettered and in the freedom of free... and then they leave, and it cannot be fathomed.&rsquo;

According to sources, Vikram Gokhale&rsquo;s last rites will be performed in Pune. &nbsp;
The actor was a popular name in Marathi theatre and cinema. He has also contributed to Hindi movies like Agneepath (1990), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Natsamrat (2015), Hichki (2018), and Mission Mangal (2019).&nbsp;

Veteran Bollywood actor Vikram Gokhale dies

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital in Pune, passed away. He was undergoing treatment following health complications.
In an earlier conversation with Times of India, his wife Vrushali Gokhale had said that Vikram slipped into a coma on Wednesday afternoon, and was on the ventilator. She also mentioned that he had a multi-organ failure.
Condolences are pouring in for the actor on social media.
Vikram Gokhale has delivered some powerful performances in Hindi and Marathi films. He was best known for his work in films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Hey Ram', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' and 'Mission Mangal' to name a few. In 2010, Vikram Gokhale won a National Award for Best Actor for the Marathi film &lsquo;Anumati' in 2013.
He was last seen in 'Nikamma', starring Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Desai. Vikram Gokhale was based in Pune over the last few years with his wife. He ran an acting academy in the city.

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale is hospitalised at Deenanath Mangeskar Hospital, Pune, and reports of his deteriorating health were doing the rounds over the last few days. However, there is finally some good news. The hospital administration issued a press statement saying that the actor is showing improvement and is likely to be off the ventilator in 48 hours.

The statement read: &lsquo;A meeting between family of renowned actor Mr. Vikram Gokhale and treating doctors took place at 10.00 am and this is the official press statement from the hospital. Noted Actor Mr. Vikram Gokhale is on ventilatory support. He is very much alive and is being treated in critical care unit. All efforts are being made for his recovery. News about he is being deeply comatose and unresponsive are completely false. We will update his health status as an when required.&rsquo;

Last night, news of his demise had surfaced online and many celebrities like Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur had expressed condolences. However, his wife Vrushali has refuted these reports and said that he's still alive.
She said he slipped into coma yesterday afternoon and post that he hasn't responded to touch. She added that he's on a ventilator and doctors will decide what to do depending on whether his condition is improving, sinking or still not responding.
Mrs Gokhale also revealed that her husband has been in the hospital since November 5 and he has a host of issues like in heart and kidney. She said at the moment he had a multiple organ failure.
His wife further said that Vikram is 77 and not 82 as being reported.
Vrushali also informed that her daughter from San Fransico has arrived and the other one, who resides in Mumbai, is with her in Pune.
