Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who underwent extensive training to play a boxer in &lsquo;Liger&rsquo;, had suffered a back injury during the shoot. Now, after 8 months of treatment, the actor has finally recovered. He took to Instagram recently and shared a story to give an update about his recovery. &lsquo;The back is almost fixed after 8 months of rehab. The beast is dying to come out. Has been kept caged too long now. Go hard and outwork everyone my loves,&rsquo; he wrote. In the picture, the actor is seen donning a yellow t-shirt and covering his face with his hands.
In a recent interview with News18.com, Vijay Deverakonda recently talked about how he dealt with the failure of &lsquo;Liger&rsquo; and said, &lsquo;I don&rsquo;t know, if I&rsquo;ve handled things with grace, I just handle them the way I know how it is. It is my reaction to whatever is happening at that point. I just know that I&rsquo;m very honest with my emotions and feelings. And if that is what I feel at that point, I express it that particular way. And I know that when it is truly what I feel when it is not something I&rsquo;m saying to get a reaction or to be part of the popular opinion at that point or to get traction when you know that it&rsquo;s what you feel inside, even if it&rsquo;s received well or if it&rsquo;s not received well, because it can go either way once it goes out into the world, it can be perceived in any way. Well, I just know that when it is something I truly believe in, and I say that, and I will always stand by it. And I will not be affected by how it&rsquo;s received. So, that&rsquo;s how I just deal with stuff always.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Liger&rsquo;, directed by Puri Jagannadh, also starred Ananya Panday. It tanked at the box office despite much hype.

In one of the pictures, Ranveer posed with actor Vijay Deverakonda, who played an MMA fighter in 'Liger'. He also shared a video with 'Bigg Boss 16' Abdu Rozik's rival Hasbullah Magomedov. He is well known for his TikTok videos.

Vijay Deverakonda took note of his complaint and met Mr. Desai in Mumbai.

The team of the film was on a promotional spree and left no stone unturned in promoting the film.  On Tuesday, during a media interaction in Mumbai, Puri talked about first choice as a lead actor. He said, ‘I am a big fan of Sridevi ji, so I wanted to cast Janhvi Kapoor, but her dates were not available.’  He said after Janhvi's dates were not available he went to Karan Johar to take up suggestions for the film's lead. Puri said, ‘After listening to the story, he (Karan Johar) suggested Ananya Pandey.’ In another interview news agency PTI, the director talked up cultural exchange because of the ‘Liger’. He told, ‘I am glad 'Liger' happened. This is the best time to be here, there is so much cultural exchange happening. India’s leading fitness expert Kuldep Sethi, who is behind Vijay’s jaw-dropping transformation, reveals five things that helped the actor. 
Elaborate planning
The trainer revealed that he started training with Vijay in January 2020, but the planning and training for the same started a month prior to that, reports Firstpost. 
Objectives
Kuldeep further said that to ensure that the actor’s flexibility and moves are at par with a MMA fighter, he added hardcore, plyometric and agility exercises to enhance his mobility. ‘I had to be very keen to ensure that his body develops like that of an athlete (MMA fighter) and not like a bodybuilder. The main goal was to make his body symmetrical with my training,’ he was quoted as saying by Firstpost. 
Weakness  
Each person comes with their own weaknesses and strengths. As per Kuldeep, Vijay's weaker points were his legs, back muscles and shoulders. He said that Vijay had one or two shoulder injuries but was extremely dedicated throughout the regime.
Strict diet
Vijay maintained a strict diet during the whole regime. Kuldeep also mentioned that the actor bulked up after a specific weight loss goal by eating carbohydrates and proteins, reports Times Now. He was extremely consistent over the last two years.

A few months into the training, there was a lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic and gyms were shut down. During that time, Vijay was put into a special regime which included home workouts. Even though the equipment were limited for the physique goal he had, the actor was consistent and made sure that his progress doesn’t slide off.  
‘While it was extremely limited for the physique goal he had, he kept going with whatever equipment he had at home. While it felt like an uphill task, his consistency made sure that he did not let all the progress slide off,’ his trainer revealed.

Vijay Deverakonda, who is busy promoting his forthcoming film ‘Liger’, which releases in theatres on Augsut 25, has been making headlines over the last few days. His upcoming film is the latest target of the boycott trend on Twitter as many people are rejecting it because of filmmaker Karan Johar’s involvement.Now, during a press event in Vijayawada, the actor has responded to the same stating that they started the film in 2019 when there was no such boycott trend. He said it all started in the lockdown and they were already into the shooting schedules by that time. Vijay said there was no option better than Karan Johar to take their movie nationwide. Citing the example of ‘Baahubali’, the actor said that the filmmaker showed them a way in North India which was an unknown territory. Further expressing his displeasure at the social media hatred, Vijay said they have worked hard for three years to make this cinema and there’s no need to listen to anybody when they are correct and doing their dharma. He said the industry must fight this hatred. ‘I have no fear and I know that in complete honesty, we have done it with our hearts. We all are from this country and we know how much we do for our people and country. We are not from that batch who sits in front of computers and tweets,’ he said. Earlier, Vijay Deverakonda tweeted in response to the negative things being said about him and wrote, ‘Anybody trying to grow in their field.
