Valentine's week has seen a massive surge in sales of roses, chocolates and gifts in India. E-commerce platforms are playing a key role, fuelling the trend with aggressive marketing campaigns.&nbsp; Blinkit dispatched 406 chocolate per minute on February 9, said CEO Albinder Dhindsa in a post on X.

He also added that Feb 9th saw the highest ever chocolates sold on Blinkit in a single day. Meanwhile, Gifting platform FNP.com delivered a record 350 roses per minute ahead of Valentine's Day and the platform expects at least a 25% increase in sales this year, as per a Bloomberg report. The report also quoted Mintel&rsquo;s Consumer Spending Priorities 2023 survey, which says that the surge in Valentine&rsquo;s Day-related spending mirrors the changing preferences of India&rsquo;s growing middle class. For the unversed, the week preceding 14th Feb is known as Valentine's week with each day linked to romantic gestures. Neale and Cloutier are both divers and have a daughter. They said the idea of ​​making a record came to them 3 years ago and they had been practicing since then. Now, they have broken the record which was created 13 years ago and was for 3 minutes 24 seconds.

As the Centre appealed to people to mark Cow Hug Day on February 14 which is Valentine's Day, hilarious memes, videos, and comments have surfaced on social media.
Several netizens have opposed the move by mocking it with hilarious memes.
One of the users shared a video of the cow seeming to attack a group of people after being tied to a pole. Several people remarked that the people in the video were BJP leaders rehearsing for Cow Hug Day.
Still photos are also being circulated of a cow standing in the middle of the sea with no one around. A user joked, "When nobody hugs you on Cow Hug Day."
A user also pointed out that Cow Hug Day has been announced because 'Matr-Pitr Diwas' failed to make a dent on Valentine's Day celebrations.
&nbsp;The Animal Welfare Board of India has issued a notice appealing to people to celebrate "Cow Hug Day" on February 14 to spread "positive energy" and encourage "collective happiness", officials said on Wednesday.

Ahead of Valentine's Day, Bihar Deputy CM Tejaswhi Yadav received a letter from a person named Pinky from Patna who who sought his help in finding a job. The letter is now going viral on social media.
In a detailed letter to Yadav, Pinky explained her one-sided love for daily soap screenwriter Prabhat Bandhuly and her ordeal to get a job. She said at an age when everybody is having an affair, she is studying current affairs. She added that despite studying hard, she is unable to get a job.&nbsp;
Pinky said that she is eagerly waiting to get employed so that she is able to confess her feelings to Prabhat. However, she expressed her hopelessness, saying that she was beginning to come to terms with the fact that she will not get a job due to lack of vacancies, and instances of paper leaks in the state. She also raised concerns over her father looking for a match for her.&nbsp;
Saying that all her friends are married with kids, Pinky said her loneliness was making her sad.
Reacting to the letter, Prabhat said Pinky has made him famous and he will discuss the matter with Tejashwi.
