Cow Hug Day: netizens bombard social media with hilarious reactions

As the Centre appealed to people to mark Cow Hug Day on February 14 which is Valentine's Day, hilarious memes, videos, and comments have surfaced on social media.

Several netizens have opposed the move by mocking it with hilarious memes.

One of the users shared a video of the cow seeming to attack a group of people after being tied to a pole. Several people remarked that the people in the video were BJP leaders rehearsing for Cow Hug Day.

Still photos are also being circulated of a cow standing in the middle of the sea with no one around. A user joked, "When nobody hugs you on Cow Hug Day."

A user also pointed out that Cow Hug Day has been announced because 'Matr-Pitr Diwas' failed to make a dent on Valentine's Day celebrations.

The Animal Welfare Board of India has issued a notice appealing to people to celebrate "Cow Hug Day" on February 14 to spread "positive energy" and encourage "collective happiness", officials said on Wednesday.
