Grammy winner Ricky Kej has slammed comedian Trevor Noah over his cancelled Bengaluru shows. He said that it was hugely irresponsible of Noah to show up at the venue without a soundcheck a day prior to the event.
&lsquo;While I do agree that there were many Event Management related problems in the Bengaluru show for @Trevornoah .. there is something known as a "Soundcheck" and "Venue recce" that every responsible and caring artist caries out before a show,&rsquo; he tweeted.
Ricky Kej added that if Trevor Noah really bothered about his ticket-purchasing fans, he would have personally carried out a reconnaissance of the venue and ensured that the sound was optimum.

Every artist/comedian/band has personal sound requirements and preferences.. and to just show up for the event, without even checking your sound is hugely irresponsible. It was the audience that got punished in the process.. audiences that paid money and travelled to experience him,&rsquo; his tweet read.
Kej also said that if Trevor Noah wanted screens at the venue, then he should have asked for them or given specifications.
&lsquo;When Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Iron Maiden, Bryan Adams, Metallica, Symphony Orchestras, Russel Peters, etc. have had super successful events in Bengaluru, why is Bengaluru being trashed now?,&rsquo; he questioned.
&lsquo;YANNI had performed in the EXACT SAME VENUE in 2014.. and the sound and experience was fantastic, because Yanni worked with everyone involved to deliver a spectacular concert. But true to his profession, the comedian satirised the cancellation of his shows in Bengaluru during his gig in Mumbai.&nbsp;
Photographer Aayushi Sachdeva attended Noah's Mumbai show on September 30 and posted videos on social media.&nbsp;
Sachdeva wrote, 'What a show! What a show&nbsp; @trevornoah. Best part was getting all the first hand gosss about the #bengaluru show and what a shit show it was on a whole new level. I&rsquo;m sorry nobody told you how bad that venue was and how rainy it gets during this time 🤣 @bookmyshow.'
In one of the videos posted by Aayushi, Trevor is heard saying, " Here (in the Bengaluru venue), we walk through an alley that was full of dogs -- half of which were in cages... I've never prepared for a show where the backstage area is dogs in cages."&nbsp;
The show was supposed to take place at Manpho Conventional Centre in Manyata Tech Park. &nbsp;
He further added, "Then we get to this 'venue.' The room was essentially like a semi-permanent tent and then everyone was seated in the room with no screens and there were giant air-conditioners outside which were blowing hot air."&nbsp;
&ldquo;They tried to turn the sound up so that you can hear what is happening. But, because the room wasn&rsquo;t designed for human beings, what happens is the sound waves are now just bouncing around the room in every direction,&rdquo; he also said.&nbsp;
The comedian also talked about the traffic problem in Bengaluru. He said, &ldquo;We are driving to go to the venue. After about an hour and a half of driving, I was like, where are we going? The driver and everyone in the car was like this is the way we are supposed to go.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Apologising for causing 'inconvenience and disappointment' to his fans, Noah tweeted, 'Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues, we've been forced to cancel both shows.&rsquo;

A video has surfaced online in which he is heard saying 'sound guys can&rsquo;t figure out how to fix this. I won&rsquo;t be able to perform like this. Sorry for the situation. He said everyone will get their money back.'
The show which was expected to begin at 7.30 pm on September 27, began nearly 30 minutes late. When it ended abruptly many audience members, who had braved the Bengaluru traffic, were left furious.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Later, Trevor Noah took to his X account and apologised for causing ''inconvenience and disappointment'' to his fans, and also announced that both shows at the Manpho Convention Centre stood cancelled.&nbsp;

Trevor wrote, &lsquo;Dear Bengalaru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we&rsquo;ve been forced to cancel both shows.&rsquo;
The scheduled shows were set to take place at Manpho Convention Centre on September 27 and 28.
Trevor added, &lsquo;We tried everything but because the audience can&rsquo;t hear the comedians on stage there&rsquo;s literally no way to do a show. We&rsquo;ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund and again I&rsquo;m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment this has never happened to us before. Fans were left fuming after the show got cancelled as many had braved the Bengaluru traffic. They blamed the organizers for the mismanagement. Several people also complained of parking space issues, poor air conditioning, crowded venue and narrow roads.
