<p>Actor Sushmita Sen survived a massive heart attack earlier this year while shooting for the third season of her Disney Plus Hotstar show &lsquo;Aarya&rsquo; in Jaipur.</p>
<p>During a recent event, Sushmita revealed that she had a heart attack just 6 months after getting a proper health check-up done. Her test reports had shown no issues and everything happened unexpectedly.</p>
<p>Sushmita&rsquo;s parents, Shubeer Sen and Shubhra Sen, have heart conditions due to which the actor used to get her heart check-up done twice a year.</p>
<p>&lsquo;It happened so suddenly and so unexpectedly given that both my parents have heart conditions. I used to have two check ups in a year because I was aware that genetically I have that. My last check up was 6 month before the heart attack and it was shocking. Everything was okay, the stress test was okay, the echo was okay. It was a very sudden occurrence,&rsquo; she said during a session at the ongoing Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023.</p>
<p>Sushmita Sen also shared that all the action sequences of the show were shot after she recovered from the heart attack.</p>
<p>&lsquo;It was cathartic in a sense because all of the action that you see in the trailer was shot one month after my heart attack. So when Aarya get shot, falls to the ground and she is gasping for air, in a crazy way it was like reel and real life, finally coming to a beautiful cathartic unison feeling. As dark as that sounds, I think it was a whole new beginning for me. Both personally and for Aarya on screen,&rsquo; Sushmita said.</p>
<p>Sushmita Sen also shared the lesson the health scare taught her.</p>
<p>&lsquo;My takeaway is this, whatever be the reason, we all have a deadline. But the fact that day on the 24th of February wasn&rsquo;t my day, means that there is a lot to be done still. What a driving force that is. To know that your life has so much purpose left, so much to fulfil. It was a massive heart attack and still there was no damage by God&rsquo;s grace. I am really, very lucky,&rsquo; she said.</p>

What are you talking about, what&rsquo;s gone wrong with this girl!&rsquo; She was furious with me. My father was more patient. He asked, &lsquo;Where is this coming from?&rsquo; and I told him, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s a calling daddy. I am feeling it very strongly,' she said.</p>
<p>'He told me that the calling wasn&rsquo;t going anywhere, I could do it in a few years. I said if I do get married and someone says no (for a baby), the marriage will break because this is my calling. So let me have a baby first, so no one can question it. <p>Sushmita Sen told News18, &ldquo;The first poster of Taali that I had released had half my face and the clap. I remember that in the comment section, there were lots of nameless people as social media is full of, writing &lsquo;chhakka (eunuch)&rsquo; repeatedly. I thought, how can they do that to me? I took it very personally because it was happening on my timeline. I, of course, blocked all of them. But it hit me that if that&rsquo;s how it&rsquo;s making me feel when I&rsquo;m only portraying Gauri Sawant&rsquo;s life, they&rsquo;re living with it every breathing moment of their life."</p>
<p><br>Grateful for her supportive fans, Sushmita sees this role as a chance to spread love and acceptance to a community that deserves it.</p>
<p>She added, &ldquo;I thanked my stars that I had this opportunity to change this somehow. The only thing that god has given me and blessed my life with are people who love me with all their heart. She said the health scare didn't make her fearful, instead she 'got a new lease on life', which has made her 'more careful'.<br><br>&lsquo;It was a phase and it passed. <p>Sushmita Sen underwent angioplasty after suffering a heart attack in February this year. She was back in action after resting for a few days. She has often been sharing glimpses of her training hard for the action sequences in the series.</p>
<p>After &lsquo;Aarya 3&rsquo;, Sushmita Sen will be seen playing transwoman Gauri Sawant in her biopic, &lsquo;Taali&rsquo;. On March 29, she informed her fans that she's wrapped the dubbing and promo shoot of the show.</p>

<p>Sushmita Sen took to social mefia on Sunday and penned a long note as she clocked 29 years as Miss Universe. Sushmita shared a monochrome photo of herself taken nearly three decades ago.</p>
<p>She wrote, 'This photograph was taken exactly 29 years ago by the legendary man and photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta. He beautifully captured an 18-year-old me in the rawness of this photograph... He said with a smile, "You realize you're the first Miss Universe I've ever shot..." I proudly stated that she is INDIA's first Miss Universe.'</p>
<p>She also added, 'The honor of representing and winning for my Motherland is so profound that it still brings me to tears... 29 years later!!! I celebrate and remember this day with great pride because, as history shows, INDIA won Miss Universe for the first time ever on May 21, 1994 in Manila, Philippines (Mahal Kia).'</p>
<p>On the career front, Sushmita's next is 'Aarya' season 3 which will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Aarya marked Sushmita Sen's comeback on-screen and her digital debut.</p>
