<p>Upset with the relentless media spotlight on his ailing father Dharmendra and the family, an irate Sunny Deol on Thursday sharply pulled up media personnel stationed outside the Deol home.</p>
<p>His outburst against the relentless media attention follows the family's repeated requests for privacy and a leaked video purportedly showing them grieving at the bedside of an ailing Dharmendra.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On Wednesday, the veteran star was discharged from hospital and taken home. A day earlier, several media reports falsely claimed that the "Sholay" star had passed away.</p>
<p>In a video circulating on social media, Deol is seen stepping out of his Juhu home and reprimanding the media.</p>
<p>"Aap logo ko sharam aani chahiye. Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hai, aapke bachche hai. Aur wo dekh c***** ki tarah video kar ja rahe ho. Sharam nahi aati (You all should be ashamed. <p>Dharmendra, 89, left the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai early Wednesday morning, days after being admitted for tests. His treating doctor, Dr Pratit Samdani, said the veteran star would continue recovery at home as decided by the family.</p>
<p>In a statement, the family urged the media and the public to avoid speculation and respect the veteran actor&rsquo;s privacy.&ldquo;We appreciate everyone&rsquo;s love, prayers and good wishes for his continued recovery&hellip; Please respect him because he loves you,&rdquo; the family said through Deol&rsquo;s PR representative.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, as rumours swirled that he had died and condolences started pouring in, daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini condemned &ldquo;irresponsible&rdquo; media behaviour and clarified that the actor was stable and responding to treatment.</p>
<p>Over the past two days, media crews had been stationed outside both the hospital and the Deol residence.</p>

<p>Her post came amid reports of Dharmendra&rsquo;s demise. He has been in and out of south Mumbai&rsquo;s Breach Candy Hospital for several days.</p>
<p>On Monday night, his wife, actor-politician Hema Malini, also appealed for calm and prayers.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery,&rdquo; she posted on X.</p>
<p>A representative for his son, actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol, denied speculation that the &ldquo;Sholay&rdquo; star had been put on a ventilator.</p>

<p>On the work front, Deol has recently wrapped shooting for "Border 2", a sequel to his 1997 blockbuster film "Border", which went on to earn over Rs 600 million at the worldwide box office during its release. Helmed by J P Dutta, it chronicled a pivotal chapter from the 1971 India-Pakistan war.</p>
<p>"Border 2" also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. It is directed by Anurag Singh.</p>
<p>The upcoming film is slated to hit the big screen on January 23, 2026, and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.</p>

<p>Actor Sunny Deol revealed that he is dyslexic in a recent conversation and explained how he rehearses his Hindi dialogues multiple times before filming due to this condition.<br>Sharing that he is dyslexic, Sunny shed light on the challenges he faced in his academic journey. <p>The second episode of &lsquo;Koffee with Karan 8&rsquo; dropped on Thursday with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol as guests. On the show, the filmmaker opened up on working with Dharmendra.</p>
<p><strong>Karan shared how he felt as he narrated a scene to Dharmendra</strong><br>Karan, who worked with the veteran actor in &lsquo;Rocky Aur Raani Kii Prem Kahaani&rsquo;, said that he was &ldquo;awkward&rdquo; when he narrated the kissing scene with Shabana Azmi. KJo shared, &ldquo;When I narrated it to him, I was a bit shy and awkward. Because he is such a senior actor. I have so much love and respect for him.&rdquo; The filmmaker said that Dharmendra answered plainly and revealed, &ldquo;I took a beat and he said &lsquo;Toh problem kya hai?&rsquo; (so what is the problem?). He said &lsquo;Maine bahut kia hai&rsquo; (I have done this many times). I said acha theek hai.&rdquo;&nbsp;<br>Karan added, &ldquo;everybody else around it had made a bigger deal out of it than them because they are true artists.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&lsquo;Gadar&rsquo; inspired by Ramayana</p>
<p>Sunny has never played a mythological character in the past, but the director of his 2001 blockbuster action romance &lsquo;Gadar: Ek Prem Katha&rsquo;, Anil Sharma, recently revealed that the film was in fact inspired by the &lsquo;Ramayana&rsquo;.&nbsp;</p>
<p>At a press conference of the sequel, &lsquo;Gadar 2&rsquo;, in August, Anil said, &lsquo;What was Gadar? The first Gadar was Ramayana. Rama ji goes to Lanka to bring back Sita. I thought this is Ramayana, this won't flop because it resides in the people's hearts. The story of the second was Mahabharata: what if when Abhimanyu is stuck in the Chakravyuh, Arjun himself comes to rescue him? No one could've failed that story because it resides in the people's hearts as well.&rsquo;</p>
