While the fans are eagerly waiting for the third film of 'Singham' franchise, the shooting of the film has temporarily been halted after Ajay Devgn got his eye injured.&nbsp;

It seems like Rohit Shetty&rsquo;s cop universe will have to wait a little. Ajay Devgn starrer &lsquo;Singham Again&rsquo; is under the works. The shooting was happening in Mumbai, but the shoot has currently been halted after the star of the film Ajay got injured in eye. &nbsp; Ajay Devgn is known for doing a lot of his stunts on his own. During one such action sequence, Ajay Devgn reportedly received an eye injury. Directed by &lsquo;Khatron ke Khiladi&rsquo; Rohit Shetty, the shooting of &lsquo;Singham 3&rsquo; had begun with much filmfare but the injury has put a temporary halt. &nbsp; As per the reports, &lsquo;Singham&rsquo; is yet to recover from the injury. The shooting will now resume in 2024 as the Mumbai shoot is cancelled for this month. A significant other part will also be shot in Hyderabad. Raising the curiosity among fans, Ajay Devgn had shared the first look poster of the film on Instagram last month. &nbsp; The film is scheduled to release on the Independence Day next year. The third film of the &lsquo;Singham&rsquo; franchise also has Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and even Deepika Padukone in a cameo role. The earlier two films of the franchise have seen super success at the box office, establishing Ajay Devgn as the &lsquo;Singham&rsquo;. &nbsp; Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty had earlier teamed up for superhit &lsquo;Golmaal&rsquo; series, Bol Bachchan &amp; few more films. Fans are looking forward to the latest collaboration between the two in this latest addition to Shetty&rsquo;s cop-verse. The duo recently appeared together in an episode of &lsquo;Koffee with Karan&rsquo; where they spoke about their 20 years of friendship, films and shared some personal anecdotes as well. &nbsp;

The release date of Rohit Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Singham Again&rsquo;, starring Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone, has been preponed. The film, which was earlier supposed to release on Diwali 2024, will now hit the theatres on Independence Day next year. &lsquo;Singham Again&rsquo; will go to floors in August this year. The news was shared by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media on Saturday. At the launch of Cirkus song &lsquo;Current Laga Re&rsquo;, Rohit Shetty confirmed that Deepika Padukone will play the role of a lady Singham in &lsquo;Singham 3&rsquo;.

Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's on-screen camaraderie is all set to come alive as their latest song &lsquo;Current Laga&rsquo;, from the upcoming film &lsquo;Cirkus&rsquo; is out. During the song launch event, director Rohit Shetty unveiled that Deepika Padukone will play the role of a cop in &lsquo;Singham 3&rsquo;.
While interacting with the media at the launch event, Rohit said &lsquo;Har baar ek hi sawaal pucha jaata hai ke lady singham kab aayegi. Toh 'Singham Again' mein lady Singham aayegi. She's my lady cop from the cop universe. So, hum agle saal hi saath mein kaam kar rahe hai (Everytime I'm asked why don't I make a film with a female cop so here's my lady Singham. Deepika is the lady cop of my universe, in 'Singham Again' and we're working together next year itself).&rsquo;
Deepika got emotional at the announcement and hugged Rohit. Ranveer Singh who was happy at the announcement said, &lsquo;You heard it first here!&rsquo;
Ranveer also said that the best performance by Deepika for him is Meenaamma in Rohit Shetty's &lsquo;Chennai Express&rsquo;. He added that this is a special film and he can&rsquo;t wait for Deepika and Rohit to collaborate again.
Earlier, speaking with PTI, Rohit said that the film will continue from where &lsquo;Sooryavanshi' left. He also added that it&rsquo;s a big action film, so it&rsquo;ll take him seven months to complete. &nbsp;
Rohit Shetty's cop universe has films such as &lsquo;Singham&rsquo;, &lsquo;Singham Returns&rsquo;, &lsquo;Simmba&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Sooryavanshi&rsquo;. The movie is expected to be released in mid-2023. &nbsp; &nbsp;
