Shoaib Akhtar has made a bold prediction regarding the future of Virat Kohli as he said that the former Indian captain might retire after the T20 World Cup in Australia next month to increase his longevity in other formats.

He further suggested the Men in Green that Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman should open and Azam should come in at No. 3. He further criticised Rohit Sharma's decision of sending Ravindra Jadeja at 3 down, and questioned 'why did the team not send Suryakumar, Hardik or Pant' While Dinesh Karthik was picked and Rishabh Pant was left out, the Indian skipper sent Ravindra Jadeja at no. 4 to maintain the left-right combination in India's 5-wicket win against Pakistan.

The famed Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar revealed his shocking intention during the 2006 Test between India and Pakistan which Pakistan won eventually. In the said Test, Irfan Pathan had torn down the batting line-up in the first innings of the 3rd Test, picking 3 wickets in the first over. Recalling it, the former Pakistan pacer told Sportskeeda that the morale of the team was really down after they could put 240 runs on board.
