Australia great, Shane Watson has dropped out of the race to be Pakistan's new limited overs head coach, ESPNCricinfo reported on Saturday.&nbsp; Watson, who is currently also a coach for the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League pulled out of contention in honour of his current coaching and commentary commitments.&nbsp; Apart from the Gladiators', Watson also has a commentary deal with the IPL alongwith a head coach role at San Francisco Unicorns in USA's Major League Cricket.&nbsp; The report elaborates that the main reason he withdrew was that he would have had to pull out of his other commitments on short notice to join the Pakistan national team with immediate effect.&nbsp; This move means that the Men in Green will be sans a head coach for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against New Zealand next month.&nbsp; The past week, Watson engaged in advanced discussions with Pakistan to take over as their head coach, with PCB reportedly even accepting his renumeration demands.&nbsp;

According to sources in the board, Watson has demanded $2 million annually, which is approximately around 46 million rupees per month, the highest fee ever paid to a foreign coach.

Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who is in line to take over as Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, is yet to make up his mind despite the PCB accepting his remuneration demands.

According to sources in the board, Watson has demanded $2 million annually, which is approximately around 46 million rupees per month, the highest fee ever paid to a foreign coach.

Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who is in line to take over as Pakistan cricket team&rsquo;s head coach, is yet to make up his mind despite the PCB accepting his remuneration demands.
According to sources in the board, Watson has demanded $2 million annually, which is approximately around 46 million rupees per month, the highest fee ever paid to a foreign coach.
Former foreign coaches of Pakistan such as Richard Pybus, Bob Woolmer, Geoff Lawson, Dav Whatmore, Grant Bradburn and Mickey Arthur were paid much less than what Watson has demanded.
&ldquo;He has a young family in Australia and also has commitments in the USA Major League. So, he is weighing his options as the board wants him to spend maximum time in Pakistan helping them also discover and groom talent at domestic level,&rdquo; the source said.
He conceded Watson was taking time to ink the contract because of the frequent changes within the PCB and the coaching staff.
Watson, at present, is coaching the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has no prior experience of coaching an international team although he has dabbled in coaching roles in the Indian Premier League (IPL) PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had made it clear that he would want a foreign coaching set-up to run the team with the full backing of the board.
Naqvi, despite being appointed as minister of interior, has also indicated he has no intention of leaving his post in the board and will do both the jobs simultaneously.
However, it will not be the first time an official heading the PCB has also held a position in the government, and the source said the International Cricket Council (ICC) had no objection to Naqvi donning the dual role.
Naqvi has already got six bureaucrats of the Punjab government to work on deputation in the board and also announced that he would be taking no salary as minister of interior.

'They’re so strong and depending on what the conditions are, they adapt easily to conditions,' Watto said. Watson also predicted that whichever side wins the game between India and Pakistan will go on to win the tournament.

While he feels Kohli is superhuman, he says MS Dhoni has ice running through his veins. 'For me Virat Kohli is superhuman, he knows how to push players around him', said Watson who feels Virat is a well-balanced character off the field. Praising his former colleague at CSK, the 40-year-old said that the ice-cool-headed MSD trusts his players and makes the players believe in their ability. CSK back to winning ways, beat KXIP by 10 wickets

Shane Watson &amp; Faf du Plessis tame KXIP as CSK&nbsp;beat Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets and&nbsp;break their 3-match losing streak

Chennai Super Kings finally broke a 3-match losing streak and got back to winning ways as they thumped Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets. KL Rahul's decision to bat first wasn't a bad one as Punjab was off to a solid start. KL Rahul once again scored a half-century but Kings XI failed to up the ante in the death overs and settled for 178/4. Rahul's men needed quick wickets to defend a moderate total which was denied to them.&nbsp;CSK's faith in Shane Watson paid off as he smashed an unbeaten 53-ball-83. Faf du Plessis continued with his brilliant form and remained not out on 87. The pair comfortably took Chennai over the finish line and registered the&nbsp;2nd highest 10-wicket run-chase in IPL history.
