Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the situation in Ayodhya has transformed over the last decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.&nbsp;
He stated that the temple town had earlier turned into a "hotbed of unrest and conflict" driven by personal interests and religious fanaticism.
Adityanath was accompanied by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who hoisted a flag at the Annapurna temple in the Ram Mandir complex and joined prayers on the occasion of the second anniversary of Pran Pratishtha.
The chief minister lauded Singh for his active role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and said the consecration of Ram Lalla at the temple after nearly 500 years was a moment of pride and emotional fulfilment for the entire nation.
Addressing a religious gathering in Ayodhya, Adityanath noted that Singh, who had been closely associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement while holding various responsibilities in the state government and organisation, appeared visibly emotional during the flag hoisting ceremony at the Annapurna temple on Pratishtha Dwadashi.
The chief minister recalled that Ayodhya witnessed several phases of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement after Independence and alleged that due to appeasement politics and religious fanaticism, the city was once a centre of unrest and conflict. He said the situation changed decisively over the past 11 years under Prime Minister Modi&rsquo;s leadership.
"Ayodhya's very name suggests that no war has ever taken place there as no enemy could ever stand against its valour, might and glory," said Adityanath. "However, some people, driven by their personal interests, religious fanaticism and the despicable politics of appeasement, turned Ayodhya into a hotbed of unrest and conflict."
He added, "Yet, it is this same Ayodhya that, under the successful leadership of the country's esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 11 years, has witnessed three significant events that can never be forgotten."
Adityanath highlighted three landmark events: August 5, 2020, when Modi became the first prime minister to visit Ayodhya and perform the 'bhoomi pujan' of the Ram temple; the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, led by Modi; and the hoisting of the saffron flag atop the temple's main spire on November 25 this year. He said the flag hoisting sent a strong message that Sanatan Dharma stood above all and would continue to guide the nation's spiritual consciousness.
Recalling past terror threats to Ayodhya, Adityanath said the city was now secure due to strong policing and divine grace. He referred to the foiling of a terror attack in 2005 and praised security forces for safeguarding the holy town.
Adityanath said Ayodhya had undergone a remarkable transformation, with over 45 crore devotees visiting the city in the past five years. He contrasted this with earlier years, when basic amenities such as electricity, water, sanitation, roads, and security were lacking and religious expressions often led to arrests. He said Ayodhya had now emerged as India's first solar city and was equipped with modern infrastructure, including an international airport, improved connectivity, and enhanced civic facilities.
Calling for collective responsibility, the chief minister said efforts must continue to preserve the divinity and grandeur of Ayodhya for generations to come. He linked this vision to the goal of a developed India as the country approaches 100 years of Independence, urging people to move forward while protecting cultural heritage.
Adityanath concluded by extending greetings for the coming year and wished peace, prosperity, and well-being for all.

Before reaching the Ram Temple complex, Singh and Adityanath prayed at the Hanumangarhi Temple.&nbsp;
Rajnath Singh also prayed before the idol of Ram Lalla and participated as the chief yajman at the Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi programme, officials said.&nbsp;
The Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi rituals are scheduled to continue till Friday. Religious rituals at the temple began on Saturday.&nbsp;

Religious rituals commenced at the Ram Temple complex here on Wednesday to mark Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi, commemorating the second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol, temple authorities said.
Temple trustee Anil Mishra said the rituals began with Ganapati Puja and Mandal Pujan. According to Mishra, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will participate in the Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi programme at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
In Singh's presence, the ceremonial abhishek of Ram Lalla will be performed, followed by Prakatotsav Aarti, he said. The defence minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also address the gathering from Angad Tila near the exit gate of the temple complex, Mishra said.
Around 1,200 saints from Ayodhya have been invited to attend the ceremony, Mishra added.
In a post on X, Adityanath described the occasion as historic, saying Ayodhya was witnessing a significant moment as it marked the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla's idol. "The installation of Shri Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple symbolises the end of centuries of struggle and suffering," he said, adding that the moment represented the culmination of decades of devotion, the blessings of saints, and the faith of 140 crore Indians.
The chief minister said every devotee of Lord Ram was filled with contentment on the occasion.
Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde had earlier said that Singh will also hoist a flag at the Annapurna temple, one of the seven temples located within the temple complex.

Addressing the founder's week ceremony of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad in Gorakhpur, Adityanath said the construction of the grand temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site and the raising of the 'dharma dhwaja' reflect India's cultural continuity.&nbsp;
"This is a significant milestone in our civilisational journey, one that allows every Indian to feel pride in being the inheritor of this legacy," he said.

"National identity must rise above divisions of caste, region and language. If we embrace these five commitments, there is no reason India cannot become a fully developed nation," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the "wounds and pain of centuries are healing" as India marked the formal completion of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and used the occasion to draw a broader national roadmap aimed at achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.
Addressing a gathering after hoisting a saffron flag atop the Ram temple to mark the ceremonial completion of its construction, Modi said the moment symbolised a cultural resurgence for the nation.
"Today, the entire nation and the world are immersed in Ram. Centuries-old wounds are healing, centuries-long pain is finding closure, as the resolve that burned for 500 years finally reached its fulfilment," Modi said.
Calling the flag-hoisting "a unique and divine moment", the prime minister said the sacred flag atop the Ram temple would stand as a testimony to the fact that "truth ultimately triumphs over falsehood".
Congratulating all the Ram devotees and those who contributed to the temple's construction, Modi said Ayodhya had always been the land where ideals transformed into conduct.
Recalling the journey of Lord Ram, Modi said, "Ram left as a prince but returned as 'Maryada Purushottam'. The wisdom of sages, the guidance of mentors, the friendship of Nishad Raj, the devotion of Shabari, and the commitment of countless others shaped him. A developed India will need this same collective strength too."
The prime minister also said that India must look beyond the present and plan for future generations. "Those who think only of today are unfair to the coming generations. The country existed when we were not here, and it will still remain when we won't be here," Modi said.
The journey to a developed India by 2047 requires awakening the Ram "within us", Modi said. "Ram is not a person but a value, a discipline and a direction," he noted.
Reiterating the need to free the country from the "mentality of slavery", Modi said India must take pride in its civilisational identity. "Macaulay sowed the seeds of uprooting India from its roots 190 years ago. We gained Independence but not freedom from inferiority," he said, adding that the next 10 years should be dedicated to reversing this mindset.
Modi also said that colonial-era distortions led to the belief that India borrowed democracy from abroad. "India is the mother of democracy. It is in our DNA," he said, citing a thousand-year-old inscription in Tamil Nadu that documents democratic practices.
Modi said this mindset influenced even national symbols, prompting the recent redesign of the Navy's flag. "It was not just a design change; it was a change in thinking," he said.
On Ayodhya, Modi said the city is once again emerging as a model blend of antiquity and modernity. "The Ayodhya of the Treta Yuga gave humanity its moral code. The Ayodhya of the 21st century is giving the world a new model of development," Modi said, highlighting the city's new airport, upgraded railway station and improved connectivity.
The prime minister also said that nearly 45 crore devotees have visited the temple since its consecration, bringing "significant economic transformation" to the region.
Pointing to India's economic progress, Modi said: "After 70 years of Independence, India became the world's 11th largest economy. But in the last 11 years, we have become the fifth largest. The day is not far when we will become the third largest."
Invoking the metaphor of Ram's chariot in the battle against Ravan, he said India's development journey too required patience, truth, good conduct, strength and compassion. "We need a similar chariot to accelerate the journey of a developed India," he said.
The vision of Ram Rajya must guide India's future, the prime minister said, adding, "This is possible only when national interest comes before self interest, and remains supreme."

When Narendra Modi assumed leadership in 2014, it ignited a "sunrise of resolve and faith" in the hearts of millions, he said.
"Today, that resolve has been fulfilled in the form of this grand Ram temple," Adityanath said.
He added that the flag atop the Ram temple symbolised truth, justice, dignity and national dharma.
"It also represents the vision of a developed India because there is no alternative to resolve. In the last 11 years, we have all witnessed a transforming India. We now see an India where heritage and development coexist in perfect harmony, taking the nation to new heights," Adityanath said.
The chief minister also said that over the past 500 years, generations and regimes changed but the faith of the people in Lord Ram "neither stopped nor bowed."
The unwavering belief persisted, and when the struggle came under the leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a single resolve echoed across the movement -- "Ramlala hum aayenge, mandir wahin banayenge", "laathi-goli khayenge, par mandir wahin banayenge", he said.
Adityanath also said there was a time when Ayodhya had fallen into neglect and disorder, but under Prime Minister Modi's, it has transformed into a "global spiritual capital".

Representatives of tribal and forest-dwelling communities from Sonbhadra, invited as special guests for the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram temple, joined the invitees, including the son of a litigant in the Babri case, in Ayodhya on Tuesday.
Invited by the Shri Ram Mandir Trust, the visitors were given a grand welcome by the members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), officials said.
The Ram Mandir Trust has arranged for the accommodation of the guests at various locations across the holy city, ensuring all basic amenities, they said.
Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi said the visitors expressed gratitude for the hospitality.
&ldquo;They said that Lord Ram spent 14 years among forest-dwelling communities, and being part of this historic moment was a blessing for them,&rdquo; Tripathi told PTI.
The trust also arranged refreshments for the guests before ferrying them to the temple complex in electric vehicles, Tripathi said.
Raju Das, a priest at the Hanuman Garhi temple, said the trust has extended invitations to people from all sections of society.
Among the invitees was Iqbal Ansari, whose father Hashim Ansari was one of the original litigants in the Babri mosque case.
&ldquo;I am delighted to attend the programme,&rdquo; Ansari told reporters.

Hours ahead of the event, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Adityanath said in a series of Hindi posts on X that a "golden chapter" is being added to the history of faith, civilisation and humanity.
&ldquo;The grand saffron flag to be hoisted on the temple's &lsquo;shikhar&rsquo; by the Honourable Prime Minister, in the august presence of the RSS Sarsanghchalak, is a symbol of our religious and cultural revival,&rdquo; he said.
Calling the Ram temple the &ldquo;Rashtra Mandir&rdquo;, he described the flag as representing the invincibility of truth, the immortality of faith and the resurgence of culture.

Welcoming Modi to Ayodhya, the chief minister described him as "the world's most popular leader and the architect of New India".

Ayodhya resonated with devotional fervour on Tuesday morning as thousands of devotees streamed into the temple town ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to ceremonially hoist a saffron flag atop the Ram temple, marking the formal completion of its construction.
From the crack of dawn, chants of "Jai Shri Ram" echoed across the city as visiting seers and pilgrims termed the hoisting of the temple flag -- a sacred ceremony called "Dhwaj Arohan" -- one of historic fulfilment.
Swami Narottamanand Giri, who arrived from Dalmau in Rae Bareli, said, "It is a day of immense fortune. This moment has come after great 'tapasya', and participating in the 'dhwaj arohan' is a matter of deep blessing."
Ninety-five-year-old seer Devendranand Giri, who has witnessed the temple movement since its early days, said he never imagined he would see this moment in his lifetime. "At this age, watching the temple stand completed gives me unparalleled joy," he told PTI Videos.
Gopal Rao, a special invitee to the Ram Mandir Trust, said the ceremony will be conducted by Prime Minister Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. "The rituals are complete. The prime minister will enter the premises at 10 am and stay till around 1.30 pm. 'Darshan', 'pooja', 'dhwaj arohan' and an address will all take place during this period," he said.
Rao added that depending on the timing of the programme, darshan for the public may resume from Tuesday evening, "otherwise, devotees will certainly get darshan from Wednesday".
Among those who arrived early was an elderly devotee. "This moment has come after 500 years. Our ancestors waited and sacrificed for this day. We are blessed to witness it," he said.
Another pilgrim expressed similar sentiment, calling the occasion "a blessing made possible by the sacrifices of generations".
Inside the temple, the priests have been conducting rituals for the last four days. Priest Bajrang Pandey said the concluding phase of the 'yagya' was underway. "From 7 am to 9 am, the remaining 'ahutis' are being offered. After the prime minister's programme, the 'yagya' will resume. Scholars from across the country -- Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra -- are present along with and local Vedic experts," Pandey said.
The city remained under a heavy security blanket, with extensive checking of incoming vehicles and questioning of passengers at all entry points. According to officials, 6,970 personnel, including ATS commandos, NSG snipers, cyber experts and specialised technical teams, have been deployed in the temple town. Anti-drone systems and advanced surveillance technology are active in and around the temple complex.
Senior officers are supervising crowd management, security screening, explosives detection and emergency response systems, while bomb squads, dog squads, VVIP protection units, fire personnel and rapid response teams are stationed at key points.
Prime Minister Modi will hoist a right-angled triangular saffron flag, 10 feet high and 20 feet long, bearing the image of a radiant Sun symbolising Lord Ram's valour, an 'Om', and the Kovidara tree. The flag will rise atop a 'shikhar' built in the traditional Nagara architectural style.
The ceremony is taking place on the auspicious Panchami of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha, coinciding with the Abhijit Muhurat of Shri Ram and Mata Sita's Vivah Panchami, a day signifying divine union, the prime minister's office said in a statement on Monday.
The date also marks the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, who meditated in Ayodhya for 48 hours in the 17th century, it said.
During his visit, the prime minister will also offer prayers at the Ram Darbar Garbh Grah and the Ram Lalla Garbh Grah, and visit the Saptmandir, Sheshavtar Mandir and the Mata Annapurna temple.
The temple complex features 87 carved stone episodes from the Valmiki Ramayana on the outer walls of the shrine and 79 bronze-cast depictions from Indian culture along the enclosure walls.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said there was a time when Ram devotees visiting Ayodhya faced bullets and police batons but today they are greeted with showers of flowers.
"Ayodhya is now setting a new global example of the Indian ethos of 'Atithi Devo Bhava'," the chief minister said during his day-long visit to the temple town.
According to an official statement, Adityanath planted a sapling at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Pushp Vatika and later addressed a public gathering at Ram Katha Park, marking two years of the current Ayodhya Municipal Corporation Board.
He also extended greetings on the occasions of Ganga Dussehra, Saryu Mahotsav and World Environment Day, and appreciated the civic body's efforts toward development and environmental conservation.
Recalling the past incidents of the temple town, Adityanath, who was greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders on his 53rd birthday on Thursday, said, "There was a time when bullets were fired at Ram devotees coming to Ayodhya. They were beaten and harassed with lathis.
"But today, they are welcomed with showers of flowers and provided with RO-purified drinking water. Ayodhya is redefining the spirit of hospitality for the world." He said Ayodhya's identity is undergoing a global transformation.
"On January 22, 2024, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla marked the end of a 500-year-long wait. This symbolises the restoration of India's former glory." The chief minister expressed gratitude to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust for installing divine idols in the Ram Darbar and seven other temples, and congratulated Sanatan Dharma followers for the historic milestone.
Applauding the Saryu Mahotsav held on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, Adityanath emphasised the sacred bond between River Saryu and Lord Ram. "Ayodhya's identity is incomplete without Maa Saryu, who has graced us with her presence for thousands of years. This festival will further enrich Ayodhya's cultural and spiritual legacy," he said.
Highlighting the importance of the Ganga, the chief minister remarked, "It was through King Bhagirath's penance that the holy river descended on Earth. The Ganga sustains not just Uttar Pradesh but the entire nation. Its fertile plains nourish much of India." Describing Prime Minister Modi as the "Bhagirath of modern India", he praised the Namami Gange mission, saying the sacred river was once severely polluted due to unscientific and unplanned activities by previous governments.
"Since 2014, the river has been rejuvenated. Over 66 crore devotees witnessed the purity of the Ganga during the Kumbh in Prayagraj." On World Environment Day, Adityanath promoted the 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam' (One Tree in Mother's Name) campaign launched by the prime minister.
"If everyone plants a tree in their mother's name, we will never face an environmental crisis," he said.
The chief minister shared that earlier in the day, he planted a Bel tree at his Lucknow residence, followed by Peepal, Pakad, Neem and Navgrah-related trees on the banks of the Saryu in Ayodhya.
He announced a large-scale tree plantation drive by the BJP on June 23, commemorating the death anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee. He added that each district in Uttar Pradesh has pledged to revive at least one river, with plantation drives planned along riverbanks and highways from July 1 to 7.
He urged citizens to participate in the 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam' campaign and take up river rejuvenation as a collective mission.
Discussing Ayodhya's development, Adityanath said the city now boasts its own international airport, beautified temples and monasteries, and a restored Ram Ki Paidi where the waters of the Saryu flow clean.
He said the divine vision of Ayodhya as described by Maharishi Valmiki is now taking form. He suggested that gardens be developed in the city in the names of revered figures from the Ramayan, including Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna, Hanuman, Sugreev, Jambavan, Mata Shabari and Nishad Raj.
He also urged residents of Ayodhya to work with the district administration and pledge to rejuvenate a local river as a mark of devotion and responsibility.
The chief minister also inaugurated 50 projects valued at Rs 3,038.50 lakh and laid the foundation for 92 projects costing Rs 3,508.81 lakh, according to local officials.
On Thursday, which marked the second consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, all the roads and bylanes leading to the temple town were cordoned off with the deployment of heavy security forces as all the entries were banned for a while. However, the devotees who were already staying in Ayodhya town were allowed to enter the Ram temple to offer prayers, the official said.

The rituals were conducted during the &lsquo;Abhijit Muhurat&rsquo;, a period considered one of the most auspicious moments in the Hindu calendar.
The day began with prayers at the &lsquo;yajna mandap&rsquo; at 6:30 am, followed by a havan at 9 am that lasted for an hour. Subsequently, rituals began simultaneously at all eight temples within the complex. The use of visual technology, including cameras and large display screens, ensured that all ceremonies were conducted in perfect synchronicity.
According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the deities consecrated include Shri Ram Darbar (the central shrine), Sheshavatar, Lord Shiva in the northeast (Ishan) direction, Lord Ganesha in the southeast (Agni) corner, Lord Hanuman in the southern wing, Surya (Sun God) in the southwest (Nairitya) corner, Goddess Bhagwati in the northwest (Vayavya) corner, and Goddess Annapurna in the northern wing.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Ram Temple, had darshan of the Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor, and also visited the nearby Hanumangarhi temple.
He later shared his sentiments on X, saying: "Today, in the holy birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, Ayodhya Dham, we are getting the great fortune of becoming a witness to the programme organised for the Pran-Pratishtha of the holy idols of gods in the eight temples including Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple."
He added: "This auspicious occasion is a new expression of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat'. Victory to Siyavar Shri Ramachandra!"
The BJP, which governs both the Centre and Uttar Pradesh, also posted on X: "The second festival of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha concluded today in Ayodhya. A step towards Ram Rajya".
Ram Temple trustee Anil Mishra said the ceremonies were conducted strictly as per Vedic traditions and involved the participation of learned Brahmins from across the country. "The day of Ganga Dussehra will symbolise a new beginning. It will be the moment when the fruits of centuries of penance, struggle, and faith will manifest in tangible form," he said.
The event was held on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra. Ahead of the ceremony, Mahant Raghuvar Sharan, chief priest of Rasik Niwas Temple in Ayodhya, had said: "This year, Ganga Dussehra will not only be sacred but also historic, as after a long struggle of 500 years, Lord Ram, known as 'Rajarama', will be ceremonially installed on the first floor of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya."
Explaining the spiritual relevance of the date, Ayodhya-based astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram stated: "Any auspicious deed performed on Ganga Dussehra yields manifold results. Perhaps this is why the Ram Temple Trust chose this day for the consecration of Rajarama."
The occasion drew massive crowds, with pilgrims thronging the temple complex to witness what many called a landmark moment in Ayodhya's and the nation's spiritual history.
Following Thursday&rsquo;s rituals, entry to the Ram Darbar and other temples within the complex has been temporarily closed to both the general public and VIPs, according to District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde.
He said the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will convene on Saturday to finalise the date on which the Ram Darbar and six other temples will be opened to the public. "In the first phase, the Ram Darbar will be opened for public visits," Funde said, adding that access to the remaining temples will follow in later phases. The date for their opening will be announced separately.

They added, "The utsav vigrahas did parikrama of the mandir complex, following which rituals like Shayya Nivas and Prasada Vastu Puja were conducted. Police and administration officials have placed Ayodhya on high alert ahead of the event. Commandos from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) along with armoured vehicles have been deployed around the temple complex, which has been declared a red zone. Surveillance will continue round-the-clock in three shifts.
According to an official statement, the upcoming rituals will include the consecration of idols in the Ram Darbar on the temple's first floor and in six other temples within the complex walls.

The main ceremonies will culminate on June 5, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
The Kalash Yatra began on Monday evening from the Saryu Ghat and proceeded through Veena Chowk, Ram Path, Singar Haat and Rang Mahal Barrier before reaching the temple premises.
On June 3 and 4, rituals including fire offerings accompanied by the chanting of 1,975 mantras, recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa and other devotional hymns will be held from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm. The main consecration of the idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Lord Hanuman along with six other temples will take place on June 5.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to attend four key events, including the main consecration ceremony, the Saryu Trayodashi Utsav, the birthday celebrations of trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, and an event on the World Environment Day.
Champat Rai, secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, issued a statement urging the public not to visit Ayodhya solely based on news of the rituals. No public invitations have been issued for June 3 to 5.
Rai clarified that while the temple remains open for 'darshan' of Ram Lalla, the first-floor Ram Darbar and nearby temples are still under construction and are not open to devotees.

District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde said extensive arrangements -- including shaded waiting areas, drinking water, sanitation and ORS sachets -- have been made for visitors at both the Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi. Emergency hospital beds have also been reserved across the district.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover said multiple site inspections have been conducted and security has been fortified at all levels, both inside and outside the temple. Personnel from the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) and Special Task Force (STF) are also deployed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

In an interview to PTI on Wednesday, Misra informed that the 'pran pratishtha' (consecration) ceremony, which is expected to be grand, will be held on June 5. However, the guest list is expected to be different this time, he added.
The consecration of Ram Lalla (child Ram) was held on January 22 last year in a ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The idols of Ram Darbar will be consecrated on June 5... the rituals will begin from June 3. Besides that seven other temples have been constructed in the complex and the religious ceremony for those temples will also be performed on the same day.
"The construction of the temple will be completed by June 5, except for murals depicting the story of Lord Ram which are to be pitched in the lower plinth of the temple," he said.
Asked whether the June 5 consecration ceremony will be as grand as it was last year, Misra said the temple trust is taking a call on the final modalities.
"... The consecration ceremonies are grand always. Because you are obviously invoking and the 'pratishtha' of the Lord is being performed.
"But maybe the guest list will be different. Maybe the priests who will come there to perform the puja may be different. So I won't say that it is a similar kind. But I would say it has the same objective and it will achieve the same thing," he said.
Misra said the guest list will not include VIPs from the states or the Centre.
"The trust is taking a call on that. And perhaps they would also be inviting many spiritual gurus of different beliefs at the time of that ceremony. The trust has also decided that no VIPs either from the states or the Centre government will be invited to the ceremony," he added.
Misra denied that there were any political objectives behind the construction of the temple.
"I do not think that it is any political gimmick or there are any political objectives behind it. It has happened on the order of our Supreme Court and the moment has come after over 500 years of struggle," he said.
The new portions of the temple are expected to be opened to the public within a week of the June 5 ceremony, Misra informed.

"Satendra Das ji, Chief Priest of Ram Mandir Ayodhya, breathed his last today. He was admitted to HDU (High Dependency Unit) of the neurology ward on February 3 with a stroke in critical condition," the hospital said.
He served as the head priest of the temple since he was 20-years-old, including during the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.
Das, who hailed from the Nirvani Akhara, was among the most accessible saints of Ayodhya and the go-to person for many mediapersons from across the country wanting information on Ayodhya and Ram temple developments.
He was barely nine months into his job as chief priest when the Babri mosque was demolished on December 6, 1992.
Post-demolition, Das continued to serve as the head priest when prayers were offered to the Ram Lalla idol under a makeshift tent.
Vishva Hindu Parishad&rsquo;s Ayodhya-based spokesman Sharad Sharma condoled the demise of Das. "He was a widely respected figure and among those who knew the history of the Ayodhya movement by heart. We condole his death,&rdquo; Sharma said.

"The trust has decided to invite common people who could not attend the initial consecration ceremony last year. They will be allowed to join all three days of events at Angad Teela," said Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The trust said that invitation letters have been distributed to guests, including the 110 VIPs, many of whom missed the original pran pratishtha ceremony on January 22, 2024. "Those unable to attend last year will be included in this anniversary celebration," Rai added.
The daily schedule features Ram Katha sessions starting at 2 pm, followed by discourses on the Ramcharitmanas (manas pravachan) and cultural performances. Prasad distribution is planned for each morning, ensuring that attendees enjoy a devotional and spiritual experience.
Decorations at the Yagna site and preparations for the festival are nearing completion, according to the temple trust's media office.
The pavilion and Yagnashala will serve as key venues for these festivities, providing a rare opportunity for the public to be part of the ongoing celebrations.
Earlier on January 5, a government press note stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will perform the Ram Lalla 'abhishek' at the temple here on January 11.
Champat Rai earlier said that January 11 marks the one year of the establishment of the newly-built temple at Ayodhya Dham.
The Trust has already extended invitations to saints and devotees from across the country, with Rai urging residents and pilgrims to participate in the celebrations, making at least a one-day visit during the three-day festival and experience the spiritual atmosphere of Ayodhya.

The BJP said the temple&rsquo;s construction will begin on January 22, 2025, exactly one year after the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. BJP&rsquo;s Berhampore organisational district president, Shakharav Sarkar, said land for the temple has already been identified, and the project is estimated to cost Rs 10 crore.&nbsp;
"We have already identified a land in Beharampore area and the construction work for the Ram Temple based on the design of the temple on Ayodhya will begin soon," he told reporters.
Kabir, the TMC MLA from Beldanga, had on Tuesday announced plans for the mosque, which he said would honour the sentiments of the region&rsquo;s significant minority population.
His remarks have sparked political controversy, with opposition parties accusing him of attempting to polarise communities for political gain.
The BJP&rsquo;s counterproposal to build a Ram temple is seen as a strategic move to strengthen its presence among the Hindu community in Murshidabad, a district where minorities make up around 75 per cent of the population.
Responding to the controversy, the TMC distanced itself from Kabir&rsquo;s remarks, describing them as his personal opinion.
&ldquo;The TMC has nothing to do with this statement of Kabir,&rdquo; a senior party leader said.&nbsp;
Kabir&rsquo;s announcement has also drawn criticism from the Congress, which accused him of playing divisive politics in a sensitive region.
