<p>The couple shared the news in a joint post on Instagram, where they posted a message that read "Baby on the way".</p>
<p>They captioned it, "Elated." Rao, 40, and Patralekhaa, 35, dated for 11 long years before tying the knot in November 2021.</p>
<p>Many celebrities, including Bhumi Pednekar, Farah Khan and Kiara Advani, congratulated the couple on Instagram.</p>
<p>"So happy for you both my dear friends," wrote actor Sonam Kapoor.</p>

<p>Rajkummar Rao discussed the issue of people admiring negative characters in films on Raj Shamani's podcast. He was asked about why some people relate to Shah Rukh Khan's character in Devdas.</p>
<p>Rajkummar Rao clarified, saying that if some people try to imitate Devdas after watching the film, the issue is with them, not the film.</p>
<p>He further explained, 'You have been shown a story that there might be some guy like Devdas. The Director isn't asking anyone to become like him, and it's based on a book... It's a character story. He dies in the end. He is telling you if you do this, you gonna die sooner. He is not telling you that he is facing all these, still he is living well and has a lot of money.'</p>

<p>Rajkummar Rao also shared his thoughts on Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal'. He mentioned, 'I loved Animal, the experience of watching Animal. I enjoyed it. Did I have some issues with the film? Maybe. Some scenes here and there, yes. But did I not enjoy the film? Of course not, I enjoyed the film, I enjoyed the experience of watching the film. I loved Ranbir Kapoor in it and his performance in the film was mind-blowing. Rajkummar shared that a film critic said that the film was titled Animal and not Adarsh Purush, as the director wanted to show the story of an 'animal'.</p>
<p>'Animal', released in 2023, is an action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. Although it faced criticism for promoting toxic masculinity and misogyny, it was a commercial success and grossed ₹917 crore worldwide.</p>

While some fans were surprised by his transformation, others called him out for shocking plastic surgery, particularly genioplasty. However, Rao has now refuted the claims of going under the knife, saying it was just a bad photo.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>'I have not done any plastic surgery'</strong></h3>
<p>In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rao refuted allegations about undergoing plastic surgery. He said, &ldquo;I have not done any plastic surgery, guys. It is just a bad photo. That is just a touch-up photo. I wish I had such clean and flawless skin because it looks like that. I was not wearing any makeup. But I must say it looks weird even for me. It was just a bad moment caught on camera. I have not done any plastic surgery.&rdquo;</p>

<p>However, Rao admitted doing some filler work on his chin eight years ago because he wanted to look confident. He said, "My dermatologist suggested it and I did. Do I feel confident after that? Yes. Have I done better films after that. It has changed the perception. Acting is a visual media. I am not against it. If somebody wants to boost their confidence and the science is available, then why not. But no to plastic surgery. It is too expensive and time-consuming.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Now, actor Swara Bhasker has reacted to these edits. She tweeted, 'Nothing stings like facts. In India, we have a new affliction: Allergy to facts. #bheed #censorship.'</p>
<p>As per the list, a bunch of swear words and some nudity was removed from the film. One of the edits includes removal of 'all the (direct and indirect) speeches and references of the Hon'ble PM (voice-over).' In addittion, &lsquo;Pradhanmantri was replaced with Mantri and voice-over of the Delhi CM replaced, wherever they occurred/appeared (also removed from sub-titles).&rsquo; There are several more edits that were made.</p>

Rajkummar Rao had a cameo in the Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer, but he underwent a complete transformation to play a 324 year-old man in the reincarnation drama. Each day, he dedicated five-six hours for the prosthetic makeup required to get into the skin of the character. His drastic transformation had left everyone in shock.
Trapped (2016)
This was probably one of the most challenging roles for the actor. The film received a lot of critical acclaim. Rajkummar Rao went on a strict carrot and black coffee diet during and prior to the film’s shoot to look the part of a man who starved for days.
In an exclusive interview with Deccan Chronicle, he said, ‘That was the need of the script. I was playing a character that was going through such hell. So to fit in the character I had to starve myself. I was on black coffee and carrots for days to go through that pain, frustration and helplessness.’

Rajkummar Rao portrayed the role of British-born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh in this film. In an interview with The Indian Express, the actor talked about the process of fitting into the character of a terrorist.
