An 80-year-old man died after walking 1.5 kilometres from a plane to the terminal at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.&nbsp;

An 80-year-old man collapsed and died at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Monday, February 12. As per reports, he arrived on an Air India flight from New York with his wife.&nbsp;
Giving information about this incident, an Air India spokesperson said, "One of our guests flying from New York to Mumbai on 12th February fell ill while proceeding to clear immigration with his wife, who was in a wheelchair. "
It was further mentioned that there was a heavy demand for wheelchairs and the airline had requested the passenger to wait till he was provided with one for himself. However, he opted to walk along with his spouse. While walking for 1.5 kilometres, he suffered a heart attack.&nbsp;
The 80-year-old man was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The man was identified as an Indian-origin US passport holder and was travelling in economy class on Air India flight AI-116 from New York to Mumbai.
The Times of India reported that &ldquo;There were 32 wheelchair passengers on this flight, but only 15 wheelchairs with accompanying staff on the ground waiting to help them.&rdquo;

A video shot from a window shows the moment a light aircraft crashed into an electricity pole on Monday afternoon in Chile.
The crash happened near the city of Talca, in the centre of the country.
The pilot of the plane, 58-year-old Spaniard Fernando Solans Robles, was killed.
Three people at the scene sustained injuries because of the crash.
Conaf, the National Forestry Corporation, confirmed that the accident occurred in the vicinity of Panguilemo Aerodrome, north of Talca.
They said that Solans Robles possessed "extensive experience in aerial firefighting."
The incident is currently under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances leading to the tragedy.

The aircraft AS1282 from Portland to Ontario landed safely back at Portland International Airport with all 171 guests and 6 crew members safe, Alaska Airlines said on X.

A LATAM Airlines plane taking off from Lima's international airport struck a firetruck on the runway and caught fire on Friday. Authorities said the plane's passengers and crew were all safe, but two firefighters in the truck were killed.

"We have to investigate and establish why it was there." The Prosecutor's Office in Callao, where the airport is located, said an investigation into the cause of the accident had been opened.

The Tibet-bound plane was carrying 113 passengers and nine crew members, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
All the people aboard the plane were evacuated and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The number of casualties was not known immediately, state-run China Global Television Network (CGTN) reported.
Video footage posted by China Central Television (CCTV) showed flames and billowing black smoke from the fuselage of the Tibet Airlines plane on the tarmac at Chongqing Jiangbei international airport, Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post reported.
People could be seen running from the plane after escaping via an evacuation slide at the rear door.
CCTV said the fire had been extinguished and the runway closed.
The aircraft was about to depart for Nyingchi in Tibet when the fire started.
The airline has said that the accident is under investigation.
This is the second incident involving a passenger plane in China in recent weeks.
On March 12, a Boeing 737 aircraft from Kunming to Guangzhou had crashed in Tengxian county of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. All the 132 people on board, including nine crew members, were killed.
