The Supreme Court has extended Nawab Malik's interim bail for three months.

The Supreme Court on Thursday extended by three months the interim bail of former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik in a money laundering case.
Malik had moved the top court against the Bombay High Court's July 13 order denying him bail on medical grounds in the case being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
A bench of justices Bela M Trivedi and Dipankar Datta noted that Malik is suffering from kidney ailment and his condition has not improved since August 11 when he was granted interim bail for two months.
Additional Solicitor General SV Raju did not oppose the extension of interim bail.
The ED had arrested Malik in February 2022 in the case allegedly linked to the activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his associates.
Malik had sought relief from the HC, claiming he was suffering from a chronic kidney disease apart from various other ailments. He also sought bail on merit.
The high court had said it will hear his plea seeking bail on merit after two weeks.
The ED's case against Malik is based on an FIR filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against Dawood Ibrahim, a designated global terrorist and a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts, and his associates under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Shinde was referring to the decision of Opposition parties to boycott the customary tea party on the eve of the state Assembly's Budget Session. As per reports, Shinde took a dig at NCP leader Nawab Malik by saying that some Opposition leaders have had ties with Dawood's sister Haseena Parkar.

The Thane district collector has cancelled the licence granted to a Navi Mumbai-based hotel and bar owned by former NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede, officials said on Wednesday.
The license was obtained by misrepresentation and fraud, Collector Rajesh Narvekar said in an order on Tuesday.
A senior Excise official told PTI that his department will now seal the bar and seize the stock.
Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik had in November last year claimed that Wankhede owned a permit room and bar at Vashi in Navi Mumbai, the licence for which was obtained in 1997 when he was a minor, and that this was illegal.
Malik had also said that despite being in a government job, Wankhede held a licence to operate the permit room which was against service rules. Wankhede had then denied the minister's claims.
The state Excise department had subsequently issued a notice to Wankhede in connection with the bar licence obtained by him.
Following his response and examination of the matter, the district collector concluded that Wankhede had obtained the licence on October 27,1997, when he was less than 18 years old, as against the permissible age of 21, an official said.
Section 54 of the Prohibition Act has been invoked for the cancellation of the licence, as per the order.
Malik had levelled a series of allegations against Wankhede, after the latter led a raid on a cruise ship in October last year and claimed to have seized drugs onboard. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan and some others were accused in the drugs-on-cruise case.

Tweeting photos of two men in a car on Friday, Malik claimed that they have been doing a 'recce' of his house and grand children's school, asking for details. A camera is seen in the hands of one of the two men. 
'If anyone knows them please let me know. Those who are in this picture, I want to tell them that if you want any information about me, then I will give all the information,' Malik further said in the tweet.

"I will complain to the Mumbai Police Commissioner and Home Minister Amit Shah and demand an investigation. I have solid evidence how some people are trying to implicate me (in a false case)," Malik said on Saturday.

The court reasoned that Wankhede was a government officer and the allegations made against him by Malik pertained to activities related to the NCB Zonal Director's public duties. 
Wankhede's father, Dnyandev had filed a defamation suit against Malik earlier this month in the HC, seeking among other things, that the minister be restrained from posting defamatory statements against him and his family on social media.
Dnyandev Wankhede has also sought damages worth Rs 1.25 crore.

Malik's comment came after a detailed bail order was released on Saturday saying that there was no positive evidence to prove that Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmum Dhamecha were involved in drug-related offences. 
The NCP leader tweeted that it was pre-planned but a selfie circulated on social media foiled the plan. He wa referring to case witness KP Gosavi's selfie with Aryan Khan after the raid by Narcotics Control Bureau in October.

The Aam Aadmi Party has already submitted a complaint to the Mumbai Police asking it to register a case against the Bollywood actor for his seditious remark.

A state BJP spokesperson, however, said they will respond to the notice legally.
Nawab Malik's daughter Nilofer Malik Khan posted a snapshot of the legal notice, dated November 10, on her Twitter handle on Thursday.
"False accusations ruin lives. Before one accuses or condemns they must know what they are talking about. This defamation notice is for the false claims &amp; statements which Mr. @Dev_Fadnavis has put on my family. We will not back down," she tweeted.
Sameer Khan was arrested in an alleged drugs case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in January this year. He was granted bail in September by a court, citing lack of evidence.
In the legal notice to Fadnavis, Sameer Khan's lawyer mentioned that his client was "falsely implicated" in a case lodged by the NCB, which had alleged that he was involved in a drug syndicate. After filing of the charge sheet in July, Khan was released on bail, it said.
But, Fadnavis in a statement to a news channel on November 1 said Malik's son-in-law was "found with drugs in his possession" and that "in whose house drugs were found then what their party will be", it said.
The allegations were "baseless and without any merits", Sameer Khan said in the notice.
The NCB's panchanama clearly says that Khan's house was searched and "no contraband/suspicious substance was found in the house or under his possession", the notice said.
"But from which source you obtained such false, frivolous and baseless report?" Sameer Khan asked.
The notice said Khan was facing continuous mental torture and harassment and not only was he defamed, but his entire family, including wife and children, were equally affected.
Hence, he was demanding Rs five crore as damages for the mental torture, agony, financial loss and injury inflicted to his reputation due to Fadnavis' statements, and also a written apology from the BJP leader over his remarks, as per the notice.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra BJP's chief spokesperson Keshav Upadhye said, &ldquo;Devendra Fadnavis has levelled allegations against Malik's son-in-law based on an ongoing case against him. He was behind bars for eight months.&rdquo; &ldquo;However, we have decided to respond to his notice legally,&rdquo; Upadhye said.
Nawab Malik had last week sought to link Fadnavis with an alleged narcotics dealer by tweeting the latter's photograph with the former CM and his wife.
Fadnavis later alleged that there was a dubious land deal involving the NCP leader, his family members and two convicts of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. The minister had refuted the allegations.&nbsp;
