Sameer Wankhede got licence for a bar when he was a minor: Nawab Malik

Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik on Friday made fresh allegations of irregularities against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede on Friday.

The NCP leader told reporters at a press conference that Wankhede owns a bar and restuarant in Mumbai suburbs and that the licence for it was obtained when the NCB officer was still a minor.

Malik presented documents and said that Wankhede's father, who was with the excise department got the licence in Sameer Wankhede's name in 1997 when he was 17 years old.

The minister added that the permit of the bar has been renewed every year and the NCB officer has shown the income to the government as rent.

According to reports, Wankhede while refuting the allegations has said that he never hid the information about the bar and added that he mentions the income from the bar in his income tax returns and after he joined the government service, his father has the power of attorney of the property.
