Gwalior, UNESCO's 'city of music,' made history with a musical night as over 1500 tabla players gathered at Gwalior Fort, setting a Guinness World Record. Chief Minister Yadav declared December 25 as 'Tabla Divas.'

UNESCO's 'city of music' Gwalior, witnessed a musical night on 25th December with more than 1500 tabla players performing in the 'Taal Darbar' at Gwalior fort simultaneously setting a Guinness World record.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were also present at the event.
Expressing joy, Chief Minister Yadav announced that December 25 will be celebrated as 'Tabla Diwas'.
"This day is very special for us. To make this event memorable, December 25 would be celebrated as Tabla Divas. The history of music in India is considered to be more than 5000 years old. Music and Gwalior can never be separated," the CM said.
The record was established at the 'Taal Darbar' event during the 99th Tansen Samaroh, paying homage to the music maestro Tansen, who served as a musician in the court of Mughal emperor Akbar.

<h3>Music helpful for cancer patients</h3>
Research conducted recently has found that music therapy may help to reduce anxiety in cancer patients. The study was conducted by University Hospitals Connor Whole Health on 1,500 patients over the course of 2,400 encounters.&nbsp;
It was found that patients with cancer or sickle cell disease, who received music therapy, showed less pain and anxiety. Patients who did not receive music therapy showed higher levels of anxiety.
It was concluded in the study that patients with SCD and HemOnc group showed not only reduction in anxiety, pain, and fatigue, but also an improvement in their mood.&nbsp;

And a recent study says that over one billion people across the world might be at a risk of hearing loss due to loud music played at events or from personal music gadgets. The result of the study was published in the journal BMJ Global Health where the team found out that around 24% of 12 to 34 year olds listen to loud music. &nbsp;
Their analysis of previous studies have also found out that 23% of adults and 27% of minors are regularly exposed to excessive noise. Hence, they have urged implementation of policy on safe listening habits worldwide to promote hearing loss prevention.&nbsp;

<h3>Design</h3>
In terms of design, the Musicbar Karaoke is a bit of an upgrade from the previous <a href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/saregama-carvaan-musicbar-review-powerful-sound-under-7-000-1632403067399" target="_blank">Saregama Carvaan Musicbar</a>, because it gets these rose-gold accents on the button area, and this fake-wood trim at the ends. The subwoofer is very simply designed, with no buttons at all, but the Carvaan logo is finished in Rose Gold to match the soundbar.
Both the soundbar and subwoofer are made of plastic, which makes them very light. The soundbar weighs just 1.6kg, while the subwoofer comes in at 4.92kg.
This lightweight package makes it easier to wall-mount the soundbar, which is why Saregama has thoughtfully included a wall-mount adapter on the back of the soundbar, right out of the box. Additionally, you get mounting brackets and screws inside the box, so you can set this up pretty easily if you have a drill at home.
Along with the mounting brackets at the back, you&rsquo;ll find the different ports and inputs for the Carvaan Musicbar. As for the subwoofer, it doesn&rsquo;t have any inputs or buttons, but it gets a cable to connect to the soundbar.

<h3>Ports &amp; Features</h3>
In terms of ports, the Musicbar Karaoke gets a wide variety of inputs. There&rsquo;s USB 3.0, AUX In, HDMI ARC and Coaxial input. You also get Bluetooth 5.0 and FM Radio. Being a Carvaan product, the soundbar also comes with 1,000 pre-loaded evergreen Hindi songs, and there&rsquo;s a booklet in the box to help you browse through the track list.
Now the biggest upgrade on this Musicbar compared to the previous model is the Karaoke function, which uses these two mics included in the box. Saregama also includes four Duracell AA batteries, two for each mic. The mics themselves connect to the soundbar automatically once you hit the mic button on the soundbar and turn on the mics.
Once you&rsquo;ve got the mics setup, you can use any source for a Karaoke track and sing using the Carvaan mics.
Apart from this, you&rsquo;re also provided a remote to control various functions, an HDMI cable and a 3.5mm cable&mdash;all in the box itself.

<h3>Sound</h3>
Specification-wise, there&rsquo;s four 2.5-inch speakers in the Musicbar, and one 6.5-inch driver in the subwoofer, for a total 120W of power output.
Now, the Musicbar Karaoke is aimed at mass-market users, so it has a largely bass-heavy sound profile that&rsquo;s suited to appeal a larger audience. The subwoofer puts out loud, booming bass that dominates the sound signature, but you do have controls on the remote to tune the bass and treble to your liking.
The Musicbar Karaoke has a very sharply V-shaped sound signature with recessed modes, but sounds really fun for any kind of music that thrives on bass. Clarity does suffer as you turn the volume higher, but even at around 50% volume, the soundbar should easily full most reasonably-sized rooms.
You also have presets for when you&rsquo;re using the soundbar to watch movies, so if you are, for instance, watching action movies, the extra bass should help give you that thumping sound effect for explosions and such.

<h3>Verdict</h3>
Overall, the Carvaan Musicbar Karaoke packs in a lot of features for its ₹9,990 price point. It gets loud, offers a pleasing sound signature for those that love thumping bass, and comes with a wide variety of input options. If you&rsquo;re looking for a feature-rich upgrade from your default TV speakers, this is a pretty good choice.

In 1993, Sopori received the Sangeet Natak Akadem award and the Padma Shri in 2004. He was honoured with a Rs 5 stamp for his extraordinary work in the field of art and culture in 2011. 
Bhajan Sopori is survived by his wife and two sons.

According to Variety, the Fender Mustang electric guitar was sold to the Jim Irsay Collection of Indianapolis at Julien’s Auctions on May 22.
The guitar was auctioned for approximately $4.5 million, surpassing its original estimate of $600,000.
In his final interview with Guitar World, Cobain had said that the 1969 left-handed guitar was one of his favourites.
“I’m left-handed, and it’s not very easy to find reasonably priced, high-quality left-handed guitars. But out of all the guitars in the whole world, the Fender Mustang is my favorite. I’ve only owned two of them," he said.
Apart from playing the guitar at various live concerts, the late singer-songwriter also used it for studio recording sessions of “Nevermind” and “In Utero".
The guitar was previously displayed at Seattle’s Experience Music Project, now known as MoPOP Museum of Pop Culture.
Cobain family will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the auction to Kicking The Stigma — the Irsays’ initiative to raise awareness about mental health disorders and remove the stigma associated with these illnesses.

The 52-year-old musician led the Shillong Choir to national fame after a reality TV show about a decade ago.
Neil and the entire Choir were in Mumbai for the past three months on work. Uncle Neil, as Neil Nongkynrih was fondly known to all, was admitted to Mumbai's Reliance Hospital on Tuesday and passed away on Wednesday evening after a surgery," a spokesman for the group said.
The mortal remains of Neil, who was awarded the Padma Shri, in 2015 would be brought back to his home in Shillong.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to Neil Nongkynrih, saying his creativity will always be remembered.
An alumni of London's prestigious Trinity College of Music and of Guildhall School of Music, Neil came back in 2001 after years of performing and teaching music in England, to set up the Shillong Chamber Choir.
In 2009, the Shillong Chamber Choir collaborated with the famed Vienna Orchestra for a series of concerts.
The next year, the choir also won Gold awards at the World Choir Games in China.
However, India woke up to this talented choir and its mentor-founder after it won the reality show `India's Got Talent' in 2010.
In 2010, the choir performed for former US President Barack Obama and the then first lady Michelle Obama during their visit to India.
Notably, the choir's version of 'Vande Maataram' was played during the live telecast programme for Indian space rocket Chandrayaan - 2's landing on the moon.

For the study, researchers examined 14 participants who listened to a playlist of their favourite songs. These individuals listened to music for one hour a day for three weeks. The group also underwent MRI scans before and after the experiment to measure changes in brain function and brain structure.
The team found noticeable changes in the brain&rsquo;s control centre for deep thinking tasks. Listening to music that is meaningful to you personally stimulates neural connectivity and boosts brain plasticity in people who are at an early stage of cognitive decline, researchers concluded.&nbsp;
