<p>From Jennifer Lopez's sheer form-fitting gown covered in silver pearls and rhinestones by Schiaparelli to Kendall's Givenchy gown with a risqu&eacute; butt cutout, the red carpet was ablaze with daring fashion choices.</p>
<p>Similarly, celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski, Rita Ora, Dua Lipa, Elle Fanning among others, stunned in naked dresses and gowns.</p>

<p>One wouldn&rsquo;t be surprised if they thought Elle Fanning was an ice princess attending the Met Gala. The actor, after all, looked gorgeous as ever in a glassy translucent gown by Balmain that made it look like it was made from glass. The outfit, brimming with flowers, and featuring a long tulle train, flowed elegantly behind her as she climbed the Met stairs.</p>

<p>In her second appearance at the prestigious fashion gala held annually at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the actor shone with her elegant saree, which boasted a 30-foot trail.</p>
<p>Bhatt's couture saree, created by 163 artisans, was a tribute to the official dress code for the 2024 Met Gala &ndash; The Garden of Time.</p>
<p>The saree featured intricate hand embroidery with silk floss, beads, sequins, semi-precious stones, and fringed with glass beads. The hand-crafted blouse was adorned with emeralds, Basra pearls, tourmalines, and multi-colored sapphires, according to the designer's official Instagram page.</p>
<p>To complement the attire, Bhatt wore the Bengal Royal collection from Sabyasachi High Jewellery, embellished with tourmalines, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds. The 31-year-old actor had debuted at the Met Gala in 2023 wearing a Prabal Gurung gown.</p>
<p>In an Instagram post, Bhatt said the outfit took &lsquo;a life of its own&rsquo; as the team went about creating an Indian interpretation of Gala's universal theme.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Creating this has been quite an experience&hellip; fun and stressful in equal parts. It has taken a collective effort of 163 dedicated individuals, including master craftspeople, embroiderers, artists, and dyers, investing a total of 1965-man hours to create this ethereal saree. As I wear this outfit, I feel incredibly grateful to embody this exquisite creation, a testament to boundless love and painstaking effort,&rsquo; the actor wrote.</p>

<p>Celebrities gathered at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 6 for the annual Met Gala, an extravagant event that raises funds for the museum's Costume Institute. The dress code for this year was &lsquo;The Garden of Time,&rsquo; inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 dystopian short story of the same name. A-listers showcased plenty of floral and botanical motifs, along with creative interpretations of decay and ruin.</p>
<p>Director Shekhar Kapur took to social media with a thought-provoking message. He juxtaposed a picture of a renowned Hollywood celebrity from the gala with an image of a starving child from Gaza, accompanied by a lengthy post.</p>
<p>The actor wrote, &lsquo;Please do see both the completely contrasting pics in this post.. For as I was watching a documentary on children begging for food in Gaza and the threat of severe famine there, the other channel was showing the glitz, glamour and over the top fashion madness of the Met Gala in New York.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Kapur added that seeing pictures of a starving child next to Zendaya at a fancy event was upsetting. It made him wonder which world was real. He questioned why there can be such a big difference between the lives of some people and the wealth shown at events like the Met Gala. He added that the news didn't show the protests happening outside the event, suggesting they were trying to hide the real world from people attending the gala.</p>
<p>The director concluded the note saying, &lsquo;Yet.. I have to question myself .. I am not starving .. yet am not far from those that are .. as I am sure most reading this post are not either .. Would I not go to the Met Gala if I was invited ? I tried to .. maybe I did not try hard enough.&rsquo;</p>

Also featuring a high-neck neckline and long train, she paired the royal number with stiletto heels that matched her flirty ensemble. <p>Thousands of pro-Palestine protesters marched the streets of New York City near the annual Met Gala fashion fundraiser with an aim to disrupt the event on May 6.</p>
<p>But before they could crash the event, the agitators were swiftly taken away by the New York Police Department. According to the Independent outlet, several people were arrested by the cops.</p>
<p>Videos and photos from the scene also showed protesters walking through Central Park and being arrested by police officers, as well as filling the street and blocking traffic on nearby Park Avenue.</p>
<p>The protest took place despite heavy police presence outside the event, including steel barricades and street closures.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Some protesters, chanting &ldquo;Rafah!, Gaza!&rdquo; spoke to the Guardian saying that it was their intention to crash the gala. While others said they didn&rsquo;t know about it.</p>
<p>According to Newsweek, the demonstrators carried banners in support of Rafah, with a pro-Palestinian advocacy group that organised the protest stating on social media that people were "FLOODING the streets of New York City in defense of Rafah and all of Palestine."</p>

Her white ensemble featured a round neckline, a see-through silhouette due to the damp look created with hair gel, quarter-length baggy sleeves, and a floor-length hem. She accessorized with peep-toe clear sandals and gemstone-adorned earrings.</p>
<p>Complementing her see-through ensemble, the &lsquo;Paint The Town Red&rsquo; singer sported a silver-blonde buzz cut hairstyle, her signature thin eyebrows, and bold makeup. This included smudged winged eyeliner, smoky eyeshadow, kohl under the eyes, mascara smudged to stream down her face, rouge on the cheekbones, nude brown lipstick, and a beaming highlighter for a glamorous look.</p>
<p>Before donning the wet dress, Doja made headlines being photographed with Guram Gvasalia outside The Mark Hotel, wrapped in a towel with another around her head. She paired the look with clear platform stilettos, a yellow diamond necklace, matching drop earrings, rings, and makeup resembling streaming mascara. Earlier, she was also seen in a see-through plastic dress with nude underwear.</p>

<p>This year the theme of Met gala is &lsquo;Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion&rsquo; and an official dress code of &lsquo;The Garden of Time&rsquo;. Many beauties from the world of Hollywood including Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Anna Wintour will be seen in attendance at the event.</p>
