Levante, who were in the top tier of Spanish football at the time have said they have nothing to do with the allegations on Thursday.

The Spanish police have detained six people for possible match-fixing in a Copa Del Rey match between Levante and lower league side Huracan Melilla, which the former had won 8-0 back in December 2021.
The police haven't provided any information on their identities as of now.
Authorities had taken notice of the game after numerous bets were made in Melilla both online and at betting parlors, police said.
Levante, who were in the top tier of Spanish football at the time have said they have nothing to do with the allegations on Thursday.

Indian football is once again under a match-fixing scanner as CBI has been investigating a possible huge investment from a notorious international fixer into five clubs of the I-League.
According to a Times of India report, CBI is investigating claims that Singapore-based match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal has invested in Indian clubs through shell companies.

Meanwhile, reacting to the possible match-fixing scandal, AIFF secretary general Shaji Prabhakaran said that the Indian football governing body has written to the clubs asking them to cooperate with the investigation.&nbsp;
Wilson Raj Perumal has rigged games at all levels, including the Olympics, World Cup qualifiers, women's world Cup, CONCACAF Gold Cup and African Cup of Nations,&nbsp;
He was jailed for match-fixing in Singapore in 1995 and convicted in Finland and Hungary.

He was once considered one of the best umpires in the world but such has been the fall from grace that former Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf now finds himself running a shop in Lahore after leaving cricket.
Rauf was a well-known figure during his umpiring career but his life took a turn for the worse after match-fixing allegations were made against him during IPL 2013.

And to earn his bread these days, Rauf is currently running two shops in Lahore, one that sells second-hand apparel with the other selling crockery.

Rauf told a Pakistani news channel that because he has umpired in so many games in the past, there is nothing left for him to see.
Notably, the BCCI banned Rauf from officiating IPL matches for five years in 2016, bringing curtains down on his career. In his 13 years as an international umpire, Rauf officiated in 49 Tests, 98 ODIs, and 23 T20Is.

The 41-year-old who played for&nbsp;Ranji Trophy player said that a person named Bunny Anand&nbsp;approached him via Instagram&nbsp;and offered him Rs 40 lakh to fix matches, confirmed BCCI&nbsp;Anti-corruption Unit chief Shabir&nbsp;Khandawawala.
While Sathish&nbsp;who&nbsp;played for Chepauk&nbsp;Super Gillies&nbsp;that won the TNPL&nbsp;last year,&nbsp;informed the BCCI&nbsp;and ICC&nbsp;about the incident he has also lodged a complaint with the police in Chennai.&nbsp;
