In one instance, demonstrators responded with sarcastic chants of 'more lockdowns' and 'I want to do a Covid test' after being ordered by officials to stop protesting using the blank white sheets.&nbsp; Students protesting at Beijing's Tsinghua University were seen holding papers with Friedmann equations written on them, where the mathematician and physicist explains how the universe evolves over time.&nbsp;
The use of the equation is reported to be a play on the words "Free man". But the visuals across the country are drowned in sights of blank sheets of paper accompanied by items like umbrellas in Hong Kong, rubber ducks in Thailand and flowers in Belarus as a sign of solidarity to the protests.

Chinese authorities on Wednesday locked down the area surrounding the world's largest iPhone factory after workers fled the facility to avoid a virus outbreak and the resulting restrictions.
All people except Covid-prevention volunteers and essential workers "must not leave their residences except to receive Covid tests and emergency medical treatment", officials from central China's Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone said Wednesday.
The move comes after images emerged last week on Chinese social media showing people breaking out of the facility, which is run by Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn and employs hundreds of thousands of workers.
Employees were complaining online of poor conditions and having to flee the factory on foot to avoid Covid transport curbs.

But new variants have tested local officials' ability to snuff out flare-ups faster than they can spread, causing much of the country to live under an ever-changing mosaic of Covid curbs.

Maharashtra minister Balasaheb Thorat said that the first lockdown had been imposed by the Modi government without any warning, leaving lakhs of labourers in the lurch.&nbsp;He said that many labourers lost their lives while travelling on foot.&nbsp;Thorat accusing the Modi government of doing nothing to relieve the poor people's pain while Congress paid for sending 50,000 people home, while the Maharashtra government budgeted Rs 200 crore to help labourers get home.
Priyanka Chaturvedi of the Shiv Sena, which is part of the ruling alliance in Maharashtra, said that if providing food and shelter to daily wage labourers is wrong, then the party would make the mistakes a hundred times "for humanity".
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused PM Modi of telling "blatant lies". He said that the PM should show compassion for those who suffered during the pandemic, instead of playing politics.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that there is no plan to impose lockdown as of now and there will be no lockdown if people wear masks.
He said that on Sunday the city is likely to report 22,000 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours.
He appealed to the public to wear masks and not panic.
“Rising COVID-19 cases is a matter of concern but there is no need to panic. Very few people are getting hospitalised. Wearing mask is very important. There will be no lockdown if you continue to wear mask. There is no plan to impose lockdown as of now,” Kejriwal said in a virtual press conference.
The CM said that he along with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and the Centre are keeping a close eye on the Covid situation.

However as per data released 85% of those testing positive were asymptomatic.
