A plan to visit Murthal for 'parathas' following a 'liquor party' turned fatal for a 25-year-old woman who died after the speeding car she was travelling in with five others hit the divider and turned turtle on Saturday, police said.
Four of the occupants suffered minor injuries while one, who was driving the vehicle allegedly in an inebriated condition, sustained grave injuries but all are stated to be out of danger, police said.
Murthal is a village in Haryana's Sonipat, around 100 km from Noida and famous for 24x7 dhabas.
According to police, the incident took place at around 12.30 am on the elevated road near Gijhod under Sector 24 police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Bhoomika Jaduan, a native of Gwalior district in Madhya Pradesh. She worked at a private management company

Those injured have been identified as Robin, Prabhash, Arpit, Abhishek and Shweta, all in their 20s, police said.
"The hatchback had six passengers, including two women, and appears to have been over-speeding. The driver lost control and hit the divider on the right side of the road. The deceased was sitting in the rear but due to the collision, the car's window broke and she suffered severe head injury and died on the spot,&rdquo; Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ashutosh Dwivedi.
Dwivedi said when police spoke to the driver of the car, he said the vehicle was travelling at a speed of 70-80 kmph but evidence suggests that the speed was not less than 100 kmph.
After the car hit the divider, it dagged for about 50 metres before turning turtle, he said.

Eleven people have died and 12 have fallen seriously ill, many of them losing their eyesight, after consuming spurious liquor in Saran district of dry Bihar, officials said.
According to District Magistrate Rajesh Meena and Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar, five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the manufacture and sale of hooch, while the SHO of the police station concerned and the local chowkidar have been suspended.
Information was received on Thursday about two people dying and many taking ill after consuming some drink. The incident was reported from villages falling under Phulwariya panchayat in Maker Police Station area, they claimed.
"A team of police, excise and medical officials were sent to the spot and those fallen ill were admitted to the Sadar Hospital here. Those whose condition worsened were rushed to PMCH hospital in Patna," they told reporters during a joint press conference in Chhapra town on Friday.

Nine died while undergoing treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital, one at a private health facility and another person was cremated before the administration came to know about the incident, they said.
"Twelve people are still undergoing treatment here and in PMCH," the officials said.
It has come to light that the villages have a tradition of liquor consumption on a festival during the Hindu calendar month of Shravan. The festival was held on August 3 when locals consumed spurious liquor, according to the officials.
The SHO and the chowkidar have been suspended and departmental proceedings have been initiated against them since they failed to take note of the local custom and take preventive action, the senior officer said.
Sale and consumption of alcohol were completely banned in Bihar by the Nitish Kumar government in April 2016.
Nonetheless, since November last year, the state has reported a number of hooch tragedies in which more than 50 people have died.&nbsp;

Over half a dozen liquor shops have been opened at Metro stations with big premises, including in Badarpur, Dwarka, Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden and Mundka, a senior Excise department officer said.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is being approached to get permission to open liquor shops by government undertakings at other stations, he said.
"Metro stations have a high footfall and that is a big factor in ensuring access to liquor products and thereby more revenue. Some vends have already opened at bigger Metro station premises and others will soon come up," the excise department officer said.
The DMRC has issued licences for built-up shops on commercial terms to the Delhi Consumers' Cooperative Wholesale Store Ltd (DCCWS) to open liquor stores at over half a dozen metro stations, officials said.
Four Delhi government undertakings – Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC), Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), Delhi Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC) and DCCWS – have to open 500 liquor vends across the city by September.
The four agencies will together open 200 more vends by year-end, officials said.
"Apart from commercial centres, shopping centres and malls, metro stations provide a good opportunity for better sales due to space availability and high footfall. Soon, with DMRC permission other corporations too will open shops at Metro premises," officials said.
The excise department has already issued close to 450 licences to the four corporations. More than 350 liquor vends operated by these four agencies are currently running in the city.
In July, the government withdrew its Excise Policy, 2021-22 after L G VK Saxena recommended a CBI probe into its alleged irregularities. The government has reverted to the old excise regime that was operational before November 17, 2021, when the 2021-22 policy had come to effect with the opening of liquor stores by private players.
The four government agencies are searching for suitable space for setting up liquor vends as soon as possible to ensure normal supply and increase excise revenue.
"We are also planning to give licences for wine and beer shops which will only sell light alcoholic beverages and rather than those with higher alcohol content like rum and whisky," said the excise officer.
He said metro stations near non-conforming municipal wards are ideally suited for opening liquor stores. There are 67 municipal wards in the city where liquor stores can not be opened due to restrictions imposed by the Master Plan.
The built-up shops at Metro station premises are also often spacious that serve the purpose of providing consumers experience of swankier vends. Presently, the four agencies entrusted with running liquor shops are hard-pressed to ensure proper space for the vends that require a minimum 300 square feet floor area.
"We are trying to ensure that the shops have at least 300 square feet of space but some adjustment is being made as smaller shops have to be rented with no option left," an official said, adding wherever metro premises do not have shops, nearby areas are being explored for opening vends.

In a fresh terror attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, a liquor shop was targeted in Baramulla. Terrorists hurled a grenade at the newly-opened liquor store, killing one person and injuring 3 others.
The attack occurred in a high-profile area housing offices of many police officials, as well as Army and CRPF camps, as per reports. The grenade was reportedly thrown in via the opening used to hand over liquor bottles to customers.
All the victims were employees at the shop. They were identified as Ranjit Singh, Goverdhan Singh, Govind Singh, and Ravi Kumar. They were rushed to a hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.
Heavy deployment of security personnel was seen in the area following the attack.
Kavinder Gupta, BJP leader and former Deputy CM of J&amp;K, said, "The terror outfit called Jammu &amp; Kashmir Freedom Fighters attacked a liquor store in Baramulla. In continuation of a nearly 100-year-old tradition, liquor was offered by devotees at a shrine in Punjab during an annual festival. Alcohol was offered as 'prasad' at the Baba Rode Shah shrine in Punjab's Amritsar.
The two-day annual fair reportedly started in Bhoma village on March 24. Devotees were seen thronging the shrine to first hand over their liquor bottles as an offering, and then distribute the alcohol to other devotees.
Liquor is offered at the shrine throughout the year, but the practice sees a spike during the annual festival, as per reports.Baba Rode Shah reportedly settled in Bhoma in 1896.
