Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering a fall.
According to news agency ANI, the incident occurred in Rao's farmhouse in Erravalli on the night of December 7.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief has been admitted to the Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.
The incident comes days after he stepped down as chief minister after suffering a defeat at the hand of Congress.
Bagging 65 seats in the 119-member assembly, Congress dislodged the two-term BRS government headed by Rao.

&nbsp;Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said Telangana is going to witness a 'toofan' (storm) of support for his party in the legislative assembly polls and that the ruling BRS would lose badly.
Addressing a rally at Pinapaka in Khammam district, he alleged that the corruption of BRS can be seen all over the state.
He said the first aim of the Congress is to "make a people's government in Telangana" and after that "dislodge" the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
"KCR has come to know that a Congress 'toofan' is going to come in Telangana... Such a storm is going to come that KCR and his party would not been seen in Telangana," Gandhi said.
"Chief Minister (K Chandrasekhar Rao) asks what the Congress party has done? Chief Minister saab, the school and college in which you studied, Congress made them. The roads on which you travel, Congress made those roads," he pointed out.
Congress was able to achieve the development with the support of the youth of Telangana, Rahul Gandhi said, adding that it was Congress that delivered on the promise of Telangana statehood and made Hyderabad "the IT capital of the world".
"The fight is between 'Dorala (feudal lords) Telangana and 'prajala' (people's) Telangana," he went on, alleging that all the departments "where money is made", including liquor and sand, are in the hands of the "CM's family".

The people saw the dream of a "people's Telangana" when they wanted a separate state but KCR is fulfilling the dream of only one family, Gandhi further charged.
"The symbols of his (KCR's) corruption are seen in every corner of Telangana," he remarked, accusing KCR of having "looted Rs one lakh crore from people" in the name of building the Kaleswaram project. Gandhi had visited the Medigadda barrage of Kaleswaram project recently following reports that the piers of the barrage have sunk.
Speaking at another rally in Narsampet, Gandhi alleged that though the 'Dharani' integrated land records management system was brought in by the BRS government, the lands of farmers has been snatched away.
He also alleged that BRS MLAs "take a cut of Rs three lakh" in the 'Dalit Bandhu' scheme (grant of Rs 10 lakh per Dalit family).
It was Congress that used to provide free power supply to farmers in undivided Andhra Pradesh, he said and assured that its government would continue to provide free electricity supply to them after coming to power in the present assembly polls.
He also highlighted the other election 'guarantees' of Congress, including Rs 2,500 per month, LPG cylinder for Rs 500 and free bus travel for women.
The 'six guarantees' being announced by Congress would be approved in the first cabinet meeting if the party comes to power, he said.
Alleging that KCR ran the rule of one family, he said Congress would like to usher in the government of the 'backward, Dalits and Adivasis".
The amount "looted by KCR from people" would be deposited into the bank accounts of people in the next five years by Congress, he said.
Speaking of the other parties in the fray, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the BRS, BJP and the Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM are working together, and recalled that the BRS had supported the Narendra Modi government in the Lok Sabha.
He also accused the AIMIM of fielding its candidates wherever the Congress fights elections, in order to help the BJP.
The electoral battle is between the Congress and BRS, he said adding that the AIMIM and BJP are helping the BRS in the elections.
On the Congress's six guarantees promised for the people of Telangana, he said these assurances are not empty words like those of KCR and Narendra Modi.
"Our first aim is to make a people's government in Telangana. After that, we will dislodge the Narendra Modi government in Delhi (at the Centre)," he said.
Speaking in Narsampet, Rahul Gandhi recalled the role of Congress and Sonia Gandhi in the formation of Telangana in spite of facing strong opposition.
"However, Telangana was not made for one family. The wealth of Telangana has gone to one family," he said.
Observing that the electoral fight is between Congress and BRS, he said Congress would defeat the state's ruling party.&nbsp;

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's daughter, K Kavitha appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for the third time on March 21 in connection to the Delhi liquor policy case.
While on her way to the probe agency's office, Kavitha displayed mobile phones used by her in the past, which she said were sought by the federal agency for its ongoing probe.
She said that the phones disproved ED's claim that the BRS leader had destroyed certain handsets. The BRS leader stated that she was submitting her previously used devices as part of her due assistance and co-operation in the agency's investigation.
Kavitha was earlier summoned by the ED on March 11 and 20 and grilled for a total of 18-19 hours. Kavitha is being questioned in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case.

KCR's daughter to appear before ED; party workers gather outside her residence

As Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter K Kavitha, is scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate today for questioning in connection to the Delhi liquor policy case, the party workers and supporters have gathered outside the residence of KCR in the national capital.
Earlier on Friday, Kavitha launched a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill in the current Budget session of Parliament.

On Sunday, Telangana Police detained YS Sharmila for allegedly making inappropriate remarks against the Mahabubabad MLA and BRS leader Shankar Naik.
The police moved her to Hyderabad to avoid any law and order problems in the town of Mahabubabad. They registered a case against her under section 504 of the Indian Penal Code Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace] and section 3(1)r of the SC ST POA Act.
Addressing a public meeting, YS Sharmila allegedly attacked the Mahabubabad MLA for not fulfilling his promises and said, "You gave many promises to the people, which you have not fulfilled. If you are not fulfilling your promises, that means you are a kojja [castrate]," she said in a public meeting on Saturday.
Following the incident, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a sit-in protest in the district against YS Sharmila for her alleged derogatory remarks against Mahabubabad MLA.

"Why there is scarcity of water in Maharashtra? Who is responsible for it? Think over it. Congress ruled the country for 54 years and BJP ruled for 16 years. These two parties are &lsquo;kasooravaar&rsquo; (guilty). I want farmers' suicides to stop. If a farmers' government is formed then water problem will be solved,&rdquo; Rao, popularly known as KCR, said.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday inaugurated his party Bharat Rashtra Samithi's office in New Delhi, making a foray into national politics.
Rao hoisted the party's flag and formally occupied the seat in the party president's office at Sardar Patel marg, a prime location in the national capital.
Opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president and MP Thirumavalan, farm union leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni along with Rao's wife Shobha, daughter K Kavitha and other family members also attended the inauguration.
On the occasion, a 'rajasyamala yagam' was performed by a group of priests which was followed by the formal inauguration of the office by Rao amid chants of vedic hymns.

Rao had founded the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in April 2001 with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. His party stormed to power in 2014 and Rao became the first chief minister of Telangana.
Twenty-one years after its formation, the TRS has officially transformed into the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Rao has been nursing national ambitions since 2018 to provide an alternative to both the BJP and the Congress. He has been meeting several regional leaders and chief ministers, including his Bihar counterpart and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK supremo MK Stalin to forge a united front of opposition parties.

At a press conference here, Rao referred to the recent 'TRS MLAs poaching case' and played a video allegedly concerning the episode in which three persons were arrested.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said the persons arrested in connection with the "TRS MLAs poaching case" were planning to topple four state governments including his own and Congress-ruled Rajasthan and appealed to the judiciary to safeguard democracy.
At a press conference here, Rao referred to the recent 'TRS MLAs poaching case' and played a video allegedly concerning the episode in which three persons were arrested.
"They openly say in the video we already dethroned eight (state) governments. And how they conducted the operation. Now we (the men) are in the process of dethroning four governments, i.e Telangana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan," he said.
Rao said the appeals to the judicial system in the country to "protect the democracy in the country" and to punish the culprits whoever it is, was vis-a-vis "purchasing MLAs".
"Henceforth, it becomes the prime duty of every democratic thinker and I expect honourable Supreme court CJ and also honourable judges of the supreme court, honourable CJs of all High courts to discuss and take all required steps, whatever they are in accordance with law." "Please punish the culprit who so ever it is. This kind of open purchasing of MLAs, dethroning governments..." he said.
The three men arrested in the case took the names of top leaders, Rao said.
Condemning the claims of the three persons in strong words, he said the men spoke about dethroning non-BJP governments.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP heads the Delhi government while YSRCP is in the ruling saddle in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Rao said such video evidence has already been submitted to the High Court in connection with the MLAs poaching case.
He further said he will send all the evidence he got in the "TRS MLAs poaching case" to the Chief Justice of India, CJs of all High Courts, media houses, CBI and ED for their knowledge.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday accused the BJP of 'trying to buy' 20 or 30 MLAs of the ruling TRS and topple his government and claimed that 'brokers' from Delhi offered the sitting legislators Rs 100 crore each.
Addressing a poll rally at bypoll-bound Munugode Rao segment, Rao said, however, the legislators, who are 'sons of the soil,' rebuffed the offer.
&ldquo;You have seen yesterday. (BJP thinks) there is one KCR who is talking loudly. Let&rsquo;s see his (political) end. They have sent brokers to buy each MLA for Rs 100 crore. They wanted to buy 20 or 30 MLAs and topple KCR's government and encroach Telangana so that they can implement privatisation as per their will,&rdquo; Rao alleged.
His statement comes a day after three people who tried to "poach" four TRS legislators were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
Rao paraded all the four legislators in the public meeting, praising them that such people are required in politics.
Based on a complaint by P Rohith Reddy, one of the TRS legislators, cases under relevant sections - criminal conspiracy, offering bribe and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 - were filed against Ramachandra Bharati alias Satish Sharma, Nanda Kumar and Simhayaji Swamy -- on October 26 night.

According to the FIR copy, Rohith Reddy alleged that the accused offered him Rs 100 crore and in return the legislator had to leave the TRS and contest as a BJP candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections &ldquo;Four sons of soil (MLAs) came with me (today for the meeting). Day before yesterday some Delhi brokers came to buy our Telangana self-respect and offered Rs 100 crore. But our sons of soil hit them with their left footwear saying they were not for sale,&rdquo; the CM said, adding they wanted to purchase the legislators like &ldquo;cattle&rdquo; in the open market.
Rao sought a reply from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on whether such things were good for society.
&ldquo;Who provided Rs 100 crore that was offered to the MLAs? Inquiry has to be done into this. Who is behind the issue? Are they (whoever masterminded the issue) entitled to continue in their respective posts?&rdquo; Rao asked.
He further said people&rsquo;s silence on these 'poaching' issues will become a curse one day.
Urging people to vote for TRS candidate Prabhakar Reddy in the bypoll, Rao alleged that the BJP was mandating installation of electricity meters for agriculture pump sets and asking domestic consumers to replace their electricity meters, which would cost Rs 30,000 each.
According to Rao, there is no country in the world, except India, that has 50 per cent irrigable land and a conspiracy was being hatched to handover farmlands to corporates, though the nation has sufficient manpower and other resources.

The Telangana Chief Minister's attempt to catapult his party to the centre stage of national politics by renaming it is being watched by political pundits. Some see it as a move that could help increase his stature nationally, while others fear it could turn into a misadventure.
The name change resolution was passed by the party general body meeting in Hyderabad as party workers cheered and banners with slogans like "Desh ka neta KCR," "Dear India, he is coming", and "KCR is on the way" were prominently displayed around the venue of the meeting.
Several analysts also surmise the idea as an exercise to fortify his party base in the state -- where the BJP is making inroads and intensifying political activity ahead of 2023 assembly polls -- by shifting focus to national issues.
However, a big question remains whether TRS -- founded in 2001 with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state -- will manage to capture any space in national politics; whether KCR’s leadership will be accepted in other states, especially in the north.
KCR is not a politician who does things without a reason. His plan to enter national politics stems from his ambition to fill a vacuum caused by a lack of formidable opposition to the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance at the centre, said a political analyst.
In addition, the 68-year-old leader of Telangana believes his party’s success in winning the support of women, farmers, and marginalised groups with several welfare schemes.
Some of the major schemes are: 'Rythu Bandhu' which takes care of the initial investment needs of every farmer; ‘Dalit Bandhu’ --under which one-time capital assistance of Rs 10 lakh is provided for every SC family to set up a suitable income-generating business; ‘KCR Kit’, a Rs 12,000 aid for pregnant women to take care of herself and the newborn child and 'Aasara' pensions to all the poor.
In renaming TRS and repositioning it as a "national" party, KCR is also eyeing a pole position in opposition politics ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
As the main opposition Congress party struggles to reverse its slide in the country’s electoral politics, major regional parties across the country are trying to forge a united front that can take on the ruling BJP. KCR, who has long championed the idea of a non-Congress, non-BJP opposition, would want to play a pivotal role in such an alliance.
However, not all share that optimism. M Kodandaram, the founder of Telangana Jana Samithi and political analyst, feels:"It is for the first time, a state-recognised party like TRS is renaming itself as BRS. It is going to be a misadventure".
He further added that Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which had a strong presence in united Andhra Pradesh, is a registered national party but has not made any headway at the national level and a similar case is with the AIMIM, which is primarily based in the city of Hyderabad. Both TDP and AIMIM did not rename their parties, he added.
"KCR has an identity as chief minister at the national level, but it is not sufficient to build a national party”, he observed.
As BJP intensifies its political activity in the state, KCR wants to divert focus on national issues, another analyst said.
It is a "gamble" that he is plunging directly into the national arena, the analyst from the well-known Kautilya Institute of Public Policy (KIPP) said on condition of anonymity.
Given that the country’s politics changed after the 1980s with the emergence of regional forces, parties like SP, BSP, RJD, JD(U), DMK and others have been playing a national role either through alliance building or by forming pressure groups.
KCR is trying to work on the sentiment that individually the small regional parties have not been able to assert themselves effectively at the national level but collectively they can and will replace the traditional Opposition to become a formidable opposition.
In the recent past, KCR has met several regional party leaders including JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda, NCP’s Sharad Pawar, TMC’s Mamata Banerjee, AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal and others, and has been rooting for a ‘non-BJP, non-Congress’ alliance.
However, most of these parties have maintained that there cannot be any united opposition without the Congress as it may end up only helping BJP.

As soon as Telangana Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was asked a question by a reporter on Congress&rsquo;s role in the alliance of opposition parties for 2024, an awkward moment of 'Chaliye na&hellip;Baithiye na&hellip;' between the two leaders erupted. A clip of the same has now taken over the internet.
The viral moment occurred on Wednesday when both the leaders were addressing a joint press conference. In the clip, while KCR tried to address the reporter's question, it prompted Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to leave his seat.&nbsp;
The video further shows KCR urging Kumar several times to take a seat as he answered the question. On the other hand Kumar looked anxious and asked KCR to stop answering.&nbsp;
Few moments later, when another question about Rahul Gandhi was asked, Kumar quickly dismissed the question and pointed out about time.

TRS leader and Telangana CM KCR's daughter K Kavitha  on Monday said she will move court seeking an injunction order against those dragging her name in the Delhi liquor scam.
The  TRS MLC will file a defamation case against Delhi BJP leaders Parvesh Varma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa who alleged that Kavitha was the  'middleman' between the liquor mafia and AAP government in the scam.
Calling the allegations baseless Kavitha said she has nothing to do with ongoing scam and claimed that the saffron party was trying to malign her family's reputation. 
She said she won't step down and will put up a fight.BJP MP Parvesh Verma had alleged that Telangana CM's family members attended meetings on the formulation of the Delhi excise policy at Oberoi Hotel. 
"KCR's family members got the same policy implemented in Punjab. They prepared a plan for Delhi, along with Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal," claimed Verma.
Verma also alleged that between the liquor mafia and the AAP government, Telangana CM KCR's daughter “K Kavitha acted as a middleman”.
The CBI's Friday raids came after Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena last month recommended a probe by the agency into the alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses in the implementation of the policy that came into effect from November 17 last year. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and houses of excise officials were raided.

A day earlier, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti party chief had performed a "shanti puja" for the flooded Godavari river.
Areas in Telangana are part of Indian regions flooded as monsoon rains continue in the country. Parts of other states like Odisha, Assam, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are also reeling under floods.

A second person out of five accused has been nabbed in the gang rape case of a teenager that rocked Hyderabad.
While his identity was not disclosed, a report in NDTV said that he is the son of a local leader of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's Telangana Rashtra Samiti party.
The incident which allegedly involves children and grandchildren of politicians has triggered a massive outcry in the city. The first arrest in the case was made yesterday and the incident reportedly took place in the Jubilee Hill area of the city. 
Three of the accused are minors and the survivor is a 17-year-old girl. The police identified the accused with the help of CCTV footage and the statement of the survivor. 
The crime was reported by the survivor's father on May 31.

Three out of five accused have been nabbed in the gang rape case of a teenager that rocked Hyderabad. Two of the three arrested are reportedly juveniles.
One of the juveniles arrested is&nbsp;the son of a local leader of ruling&nbsp;Telangana&nbsp;Rashtra&nbsp;Samiti&nbsp;party, as per a&nbsp;NDTV&nbsp;report.
The incident which allegedly involves children and grandchildren of politicians has triggered a massive outcry.
The police identified the accused with the help of CCTV&nbsp;footage and the statement of the 17-year-old survivor. According to the police, out of the 5 accused, 3 are minors. The incident reportedly took place in the Jubilee Hill area of the city.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, the apex child rights body&nbsp;National Commission for Protection of Child Rights or&nbsp;NCPCR has sought an explanation from the Hyderabad police over the delay in registration of FIR in the case. They have also sought the registration of an FIR against a city pub for allowing entry to minors.
