Megastar Amitabh Bachchan kickstarts the 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show returns on August 11, celebrating 25 years with new surprises.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has commenced shooting for the 17th season of the long-running quiz show "Kaun Banega Crorepati".
The new season is set to feature not only new contestants and challenging questions, but also special surprises in celebration of the show&rsquo;s 25-year journey, the makers said in a statement.
"With a new season and the legendary host at the helm, KBC 17 promises to be one of the most sought after shows on Indian television. The opening episode will not only present some new announcements but also brings with it a fresh wave of excitement," it added.
To mark the 25th anniversary milestone, the Sony TV show has also launched a campaign -- #JahanAkalHaiWahaanAkadHai -- which reflects how intellect today is worn with pride &mdash; celebrating not just knowledge but the confidence that comes with it.
Bachchan, who has been the face of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for one season in 2003, took to his blog on the eve of the new season to share his thoughts.
&ldquo;At work .. early rise, early work .. first day of KBC new season .. and as always .. the nerves .. the shaking knees the apprehension,&rdquo; he wrote, reflecting his continued humility and excitement even after 24 years.
&ldquo;The contestants and the audience in the great KBC floor make all the difference .. they are so we are .. Truly .. So to them all .. my wishes and prayers ..&rdquo; he wrote on Wednesday.
"Kaun Banega Crorepati" season 17 will premiere on August 11 and will air Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and stream on SonyLIV.

Rachna then shared that her husband barely takes her out. It was then that Amitabh turned his chair around and announced, "Ae! Sony walon! Humko anchor ka naam badal do, marriage counsellor bol do. Yahi ek jagah milti hai sabko jitna bhi dukh dard hai ghar ka woh aake udel dijiye&hellip; uska hum pura nidaan nikal denge (Listen, people from the channel! Change my name from the host to marriage counsellor. This is one place where everyone shares their marital problems, and all sorts of household problems&hellip; I will sort everything out)."&nbsp;
Big B then advised Rachna&rsquo;s husband to take her out and explained to him that the husband must make romantic gestures that involve cards and flowers.
Big B's work front The superstar will next be seen in Tiger Shroff's upcoming action film Ganapath: A Hero Is Born. He also has Nag Ashwin's project, &lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; in pipeline. The film also stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone and is scheduled to release in January 2024. &nbsp;

He further added that through his fighting spirit he became the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team just after six months after the accident. &nbsp;

He further added, &lsquo;The result of this was that just six months after the accident, he became the youngest captain of the cricket team. Under his captaincy, he got India to score its first test victory on international grounds. That cricketer was Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. He told the world that if you can see your goal clearly, then there&rsquo;s no might in the world that will keep you away from your ambition.&rsquo;&nbsp;
In July 1961, Mansoor was traveling in a car that got in an accident in Hove and a shard of glass damaged his right eye. Apart from being the youngest Indian Test captain, he was also the third youngest International Test captain worldwide.
Mansoor Ali Khan, nicknamed &lsquo;Tiger Pataudi&rsquo; tied the knot with actor Sharmila Tagore in 1968. Tiger's father was Iftikar Ali Khan Pataudi who played Test cricket for England and India. The couple has three children, actors Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Pataudi. Saif is married to actor Kareena Kapoor and Soha is married to actor Kunal Kemmu.&nbsp;

He shared the news on &nbsp;his blog and said he cut a vein on his left calve. The actor was rushed to the hospital due to bleeding where he underwent treatment which involved a few stitches.
 Big B wrote, 'A jutting piece of metal sliced my left calve and managed to cut the vein .. the vein when cut spurts out the &lsquo;red&rsquo; uncontrollably .. but had the nerve to get the doc and so into an OT and the stitching up .. with the assistance of team of staff and docs in time...''The throb is the control factor on KBC and it must be stated that those 3-4 hours on each episode, does take care of the... Its a little inoperative, but the will to continue in the similar spirit of measurement and tribe and class in range does give a hope and we cope... It's quite fresh and with opinion and advice,' the actor added.

Reports indicate the lender reversed the error within the next few hours but customers were left stranded as they could not access their accounts even for emergent use. According to the private lender, the issue arose due to the introduction of a software patch as part of maintenance during the early hours on May 29. Further, the bank is investigating if the excess money deposited in the accounts has been withdrawn.

In a promo released by the makers of the show, fans got a glimpse of the show, where&nbsp;Genelia&nbsp;and Ritesh&nbsp;got emotional as a video of kids at a cancer treatment centre played.&nbsp;
"Bachche pe kya beeti hai yeh hum kabhi samajh bhi nahi payenge (We will never be able to understand what the kids have gone through),&rdquo; a teary-eyed&nbsp;Riteish said.
But the show had its quirky moments too. In another promo from the same episode,&nbsp;Ritesh&nbsp;went down on one knee and&nbsp;quoted a hit dialogue from Big B's 'Shahenshah' for his lady love, but&nbsp;with his own twist.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Rishte mein toh hum tumhare pati lagte hai, lekin naam hai Genelia sa naura (I am your husband, but my name is Genelia&rsquo;s husband), &rdquo; said Riteish.
Ritesh and Genelia met on the sets of 2003 film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' and after dating each others for a few years, they tied the knot in 2012.&nbsp;'Kaun Banega Crorepati 13's 'Shaandaar Shukravaar' will air on October 8 on Sony Entertainment Television.

An FIR has been registered in Lucknow against Big B and the show makers for 'hurting Hindu sentiments'.
The havoc was created after Big B asked a question for ₹6,40,000 which was, 'On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture?'.
The answer to the question didn't go well with certain section of social media.
While some users accused the show of running the leftists propaganda, others blamed it for 'hurting Hindu sentiments'.
Meanwhile, Hindu Janjagran Samiti has also sought an apology from the megastar for hurting the religious sentiments of the community.
