Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's daughter, K Kavitha appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for the third time on March 21 in connection to the Delhi liquor policy case.
While on her way to the probe agency's office, Kavitha displayed mobile phones used by her in the past, which she said were sought by the federal agency for its ongoing probe.
She said that the phones disproved ED's claim that the BRS leader had destroyed certain handsets. The BRS leader stated that she was submitting her previously used devices as part of her due assistance and co-operation in the agency's investigation.
Kavitha was earlier summoned by the ED on March 11 and 20 and grilled for a total of 18-19 hours. Kavitha is being questioned in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a caveat application in the Supreme Court on the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha's plea challenging the summons issued by the probe agency against her in connection to Delhi excise policy case.
A Caveat application is filed by a litigant to ensure that no adverse order is passed against them without being heard.
Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, has approached the Supreme court saying that as per norms, a woman cannot be summoned for questioning before ED in office and her questioning should take place at her residence.
On March 15, the Supreme Court agreed to hear Kavitha's plea challenging the summons of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 24.

K Kavitha, Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking protection from arrest and challenging the summons by the Enforcement Directorate in a money-laundering case arising out of the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice P S Narasimha agreed to hear the plea of Kavitha, who is also a member of the legislative council, on March 24.
&ldquo;Can a woman be called to the office of the Enforcement Directorate?&rdquo; her lawyer said while seeking an urgent hearing of the plea.
It is "completely against the law", the lawyer said.
On March 11, the BRS leader was questioned for hours by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case.

KCR's daughter to appear before ED; party workers gather outside her residence

Notably, former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested by ED in the same case.

As Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter K Kavitha, is scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate today for questioning in connection to the Delhi liquor policy case, the party workers and supporters have gathered outside the residence of KCR in the national capital.
Earlier on Friday, Kavitha launched a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill in the current Budget session of Parliament.
Notably, former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested by ED in the same case.

Gorantla, as per the information, formerly worked with KCR's daughter K Kavitha. He was summoned to the national capital and arrested by the CBI. He will be produced in a court today.&nbsp;

The CBI on Wednesday arrested Butchi Babu Gorantla, a Telangana-based chartered accountant in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam.&nbsp;
Gorantla, as per the information, formerly worked with KCR's daughter K Kavitha. He was summoned to the national capital and arrested by the CBI. He will be produced in a court today.&nbsp;
According to the CBI, the Hyderabad based CA has been arrested over his alleged role in formulation &amp; implementation of Delhi Excise Policy &amp; causing wrongful gain to Hyderabad-based wholesale and retail licensees and their beneficial owners.

Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar, told the CBI that her name does not figure in the FIR, the list of accused persons, and the complaint filed in July 2022.

Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar, told the CBI that her name does not figure in the FIR, the list of accused persons, and the complaint filed in July 2022.

TRS MLC K Kavitha, who has been served with a notice by the CBI for questioning in connection with Delhi Excise Policy scam, on Monday said she will be able to meet the sleuths from December 11-15 (except on 13th) instead of December 6, due to her preoccupied schedule.
In a letter to the investigating agency, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter said she had gone through the contents of the FIR copy as well as the complaint available on the website in connection with the case and her name did not figure anywhere in any manner whatsoever.
"As proposed by you, I am not in a position to meet on 6th December, 2022, because of my preoccupied schedule. I will be able to meet you either on 11th, 12th or 14th or 15th of this month whichever is as convenient to you at my residence in Hyderabad. Same may please be confirmed at the earliest," she said in the letter to the CBI.
The CBI on December 2 issued a notice to the TRS leader for questioning in the case on December 6. The probe agency asked her to intimate the place as per her convenience for the "examination" at 11 AM on that day.

Kavitha, in a statement, had said she informed the authorities that they can meet her at her Hyderabad residence.
"I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate with the investigation. I will meet you on any of the above said dates to cooperate with the investigation. It is made clear that this is without prejudice to my legal rights available under law," she further said.
After her name cropped up in a remand report filed by the Enforcement Directorate in a Delhi court on the alleged kickbacks in the scam, Kavitha had said she was ready to face any probe.
The CBI on November 25 filed its first charge sheet in the case against seven accused.
