Mumbai Indians announced their coaching panel for the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) on Sunday and named legendary English cricketer Charlotte Edwards as their head coach.
Apart from her, MI roped in former Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami and ex-Indian all-rounder Devieka Plashikaar in their 3-member coaching staf.
The Women's Premier League is set to begin in March, 2023.

Former India cricket captain Mithali Raj has been roped in as mentor and advisor by Women's Premier League (WPL) side Gujarat Giants ahead of the inaugural season, which will take place in March-April this year.
Mithali, the highest run-getter in women's international cricket, had retired last year from all formats after a 23-year-long career.
As the mentor of the side, the 40-year-old cricketer will also promote women's cricket and help develop the sport at the grassroots level in Gujarat.
The Ahmedabad franchise had emerged as the costliest of the five teams during the auction recently, with Adani Sportsline shelling out Rs 1289 crore.
Mithali said the new BCCI initiative will help women's cricket grow steadily and encourage young players to take up cricket professionally.
"The inaugural season of the Women's Premier League is a fantastic move for women's cricket and the involvement of the Adani Group is a massive boost for the sport as well," said Mithali on Saturday.
"Women's cricket is growing steadily, and this kind of impetus will undoubtedly encourage young women to consider taking up cricket professionally.
"I believe that the high-impact participation of corporates will help hasten the process of eventually bringing more glory to India.
"This level of influence can help strengthen the sporting ecosystem and enhance opportunities for women athletes," she added.
Adani Enterprises director Pranav Adani called Mithali a role model and hoped her presence would help attract new talent in cricket and other sports.
"Mithali Raj is a role model for the young generation and we are delighted to have such an inspirational athlete on board to mentor our women's cricket team," said Pranav.
"We believe that the presence of international sporting heroes like Mithali will attract new talent not just into cricket but also into every other sport and transform the professional sports ecosystem," he added. Further as per reports, former Indian women's team coach WV Raman and former cricketer Jhulan Goswami have been offered a head coach and bowling coach position by the Delhi Capitals.&nbsp;

Gerard Pique &amp; Blaise Matuidi were the two footballers who retired from the sport. The multi-trophy winner, Pique played his last match at Camp Nou, which was also his 616th appearance for Barcelona. Matuidi, 35, who had helped France win the World Cup in 2018 decided to call it a day after he did not find any takers this year. Apart from them Argentina&rsquo;s Carlos Tevez; England&rsquo;s Jermain Defoe, Mark Noble and Jack Wilshere; Belgian footballer Mousa Dembele also decided to call it a day.

Jhulan Goswami signed off from international cricket in the best way possible, with a fantastic victory for the Women in Blue. She helped India complete a clean sweep of the ODI series in England, a first even for her in her two-decade-long career.
Her final ODI started with a touching gesture from Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, where she got Jhulan Goswami to call the toss in her final game.
Players and staff, all in the vicinity of the Indian veteran, couldn't hide their emotions after seeing one of their most experienced players bid farewell to the international game.
In fact, when Jhulan walked out to bat, England also gave her a guard of honour in a heartwarming move from captain Amy Jones. And even though the Indian veteran departed for a duck, she will never forget the standing ovation she got from the crowd at Lord&rsquo;s.
Jhulan finished her career as the highest wicket-taker in women&rsquo;s ODIs but no matter how successful her career has been, she still rues the fact that she never got to lift a World Cup.
Being part of two 50-over World Cup finals (2005 and 2017) and not being able to win at least one title has been the biggest regret of her star-studded career.
"If we would have won one of those [two World Cup finals], it would have been great for Team India and women's cricket,&rdquo; Jhulan had said before her final match.
But Jhulan remains an icon for the women&rsquo;s game in India. Her name will forever be etched in cricket history, and she rightly got another recognition when her state cricket board, the Cricket Association of Bengal, decided to honour her by naming a stand at the iconic Eden Gardens after her.
The 39-year-old won&rsquo;t ply her trade in international cricket anymore, but fans are hopeful they will get to see the &lsquo;Chakdaha Express&rsquo; turn up at the Women&rsquo;s IPL next year. Whether they get their wish or not remains to be seen, but her departure marks the end of an era for the Women in Blue!
