A senior police officer said that Vinayakan was arrested for making trouble at the police station. &lsquo;He has been taken to a nearby hospital for the necessary medical examination,&rsquo; the officer added.
Speaking to India Today, North Police SHO (station house officer) said, &lsquo;The action was taken because he (Vinakayan) behaved indecently. He will be released after a while. He will be released on station bail.&rsquo;

Director-actor G Marimuthu died due to a heart attack while dubbing for his hit TV series &lsquo;Ethir Neechal&rsquo;. The news of his death came as a shock to the industry and many are paying tribute to him on social media.
According to reports, Marimuthu was dubbing for the soap opera in a studio in Chennai on September 8 morning along with his co-star Kamlesh. He suddenly collapsed in the studio and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Vadapalani, where he was pronounced dead.
G Marimuthu&rsquo;s remains will be taken to his native place Theni, where he will be cremated. He is survived by his two children and wife.
G Marimuthu worked as an assistant to lyricist Vairamuthu during his early years. He later worked with director Vasanth as an assistant.
G Marimuthu has directed films &lsquo;Pulivaal&rsquo; and &lsquo;Kannum Kannum&rsquo;. He made his acting debut in Mysskin&rsquo;s &lsquo;Yuddham Sei&rsquo;.

A scene in Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer' shows a contract killer wearing the RCB jersey and making derogatory and misogynistic statements about a woman.

Amid a successful run at the box office, the makers of &lsquo;Jailer&rsquo; were dragged to court and asked to alter a scene with Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey.
Makers have told the Delhi High Court that they would digitally alter the clippings of the movie which shows a contract killer wearing the jersey and making derogatory and misogynistic statements about a woman.
Sun Pictures, the production house of 'Jailer', said the change would be made by September 1. They also assured that the film with the altered scene would be telecast on TV and OTT platforms.
The RCB counsel had approached the court after finding out that the film has a scene in which a killer wears the IPL team&rsquo;s jersey.
Following that the court ordered, &lsquo;The Defendants as also all parties acting for or on their behalf including their distribution network shall be bound by the above terms and conditions. With effect from 1st September, 2023, in the theatrical depiction of the film Jailer the RCB team jersey shall stand edited/altered. The Defendants shall ensure that after 1st September, 2023, none of the theatres would exhibit the RCB jersey in any form whatsoever. Insofar as television, satellite or any OTT platform is concerned, prior to the release thereof, the altered version of the film shall be broadcasted/telecasted.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Jailer' is an action drama written and helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Besides Rajinikanth, the film also features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Sunil, Tamannaah, and Yogi Babu.

The company said in its notice that it declared a holiday on August 10 'to avoid piled up leave requests to the HR department'.
The notice further said, &lsquo;We also take the privilege of going the extra mile to support antipiracy by providing free tickets to employees...&rsquo;
