Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his name, photographs, voice, and using the term 'Bhidu', without his consent. As per a Bar and Bench report, the case is scheduled for a hearing on May 15.
<h3>Jackie Shroff files for protection of identity rights&nbsp;</h3>
Jackie Shroff has taken legal action to safeguard his personality and public rights amid the ongoing discourse around celebrity rights in the internet age. The suit has been filed against various entities that use the actor's name, photographs, voice and moniker 'Bhidu' without authorisation. He also requested the Department of Technology and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) to remove all links and websites that unlawfully violate his personality rights.
<h3>Anil Kapoor safeguards his identity&nbsp;</h3>
Previously, Anil Kapoor had chosen the legal route to protect their personality rights. Last year in September, Kapoor sought to restrain the use of his name, the acronym AK, his voice, and image, as well as his monikers, Lakhan, Mr India, Majnu Bhai, Nayak and the phrase like jhakaas with his photo without his permission.
The actor also sought protection from the use of any technology including AI deepfakes. Many B-town celebs, including Ranveer Singh, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, and Rashmina Mandanna, have become the victims of AI-generated deepfakes. He credited megastar Amitabh Bachchan for paving the way for safeguarding identity rights.&nbsp;

Tiger Shroff's Bollywood journey started strong with hits like &lsquo;Heropanti,&rsquo; &lsquo;Baaghi,&rsquo; &lsquo;War,&rsquo; &lsquo;Baaghi 2,&rsquo; and &lsquo;Baaghi 3.&rsquo; But his last few films failed miserably at the box office.
Now his father, veteran actor Jackie Shroff has reflected on his career highs and lows, shedding light on what he believes Tiger requires presently.
In an interview with PTI, Jackie Shroff said that hits and flops are a part of the film industry and that he has full faith in his son. The actor said, &lsquo;I think he (Tiger) needs a good technician and a good release. That's it. The boy has everything, he is an action star. At his age, he is the biggest. I say, 'Take it easy, some films will work, some won't work, and again some will work. This is life'.
He added, &lsquo;I've done 250 films and not all of them have worked. So, it's alright. It (film) totally depends on the whole team, it (filmmaking) is a teamwork. Mast Mein Rehne Ka.&rsquo; (Enjoy your life)
In the same interview, Jackie Shroff recalled his journey in the film industry and said, &lsquo;Everybody will not get everything in life, it is impossible. So, one has to understand that health, family, and friends are important. We should have gratitude for whatever we have. I was happy selling peanuts, then sticking posters on the walls, working in a travel agency, modeling and acting in films, and now I&rsquo;m happy planting plants.&rsquo;
He further added, &lsquo;Whatever work I&rsquo;ve got, I&rsquo;ve always done that. Like, I remember selling peanuts first, then I got the job of sticking movie posters on the walls, I worked at a garment shop, then joined a travel agency. Then someone asked me, &lsquo;If I would do modeling?&rsquo;, I did it, then it was like, &lsquo;Will you do a movie? I did it. So, I kept myself open to doing all kinds of things. I was always sincere and disciplined, whatever work I was given, I did it honestly. I just kept moving and never stressed about anything.&rsquo;

Reports said she has accused Alan Fernandes, who was the director of a &nbsp;company owned by his son, of cheating and he has been charged under various sections of the law.
The company named MMA Matrix &nbsp;belongs to Tiger Shroff and his mother.She was looking after all the activities there along with Alan as Tiger Shroff was busy with his film promotional activities.
As per reports, the accused took a lot of money for organizing a total of 11 tournaments in India and abroad through the company and the total amount of fees collected from December 2018 to January 2023 was Rs 58,53,591 in the company's bank account.
This is not the first time that Ayesha has filed a case of cheating. Previously, she filed a complaint against actor Sahil Khan and alleged that he failed to pay her dues worth ₹4 crore.
