The surge Indian Premier League is not going down well with Pakistan Cricket Board. PCB chief Ramiz Raja has decided to challenge the proposed two-and-a-half-month IPL window in future ICC meet.

Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had said that the IPL will get an extended window in the ICC's next Future Tours Programme (FTP) cycle starting from 2024 that runs till 2031.
Notably, the IPL recently became the second biggest league in the world after its media rights fetched a whopping Rs 48,390 crore for the next 5-year cycle.

According to media reports, each game in the IPL is now valued at ₹107.5 crore when you combine the TV and digital rights for the Indian sub-continent.
As per reports, the highest bid for TV rights was ₹57.5 crore per match which is ₹23,575 crore in total. Meanwhile, the digital rights fetched ₹50 crore per match or ₹20,500 crore for the next five years.
According to an&nbsp;ANI report, two media houses have won the TV and Digital rights separately.
IPL per match value is now the second-highest in the world, beating the English Premier League ($11 mn) as well as the NBA&nbsp;($2 million).
Only the NFL&nbsp;($17 million) in USA currently has a higher per match value than the IPL.
