It&rsquo;s not perfect, but for the price, it punches way above its weight. This one&rsquo;s a sleeper hit.</span></h2>

<p>Infinix is one brand that&rsquo;s come out swinging in 2025.</p>
<p>The entire Note 50 series is clearly gunning for the top spot in the affordable segment, and the Note 50S 5G+ is no exception.</p>
<p>And first things first, we are thoroughly impressed by the phone. And no, this isn&rsquo;t a paid review. For ₹16,000, you can take this to the bank!</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix Note 50s Design</strong></h3>
<p>The first thing I&rsquo;ve got to shout out is just how slim and light the Note 50s is. It weighs only 180 grams and comes in at just 7.6mm &mdash; honestly, getting this sort of a build quality, that too at this price point, is practically unheard of.</p>
<p>Side by side with other phones it just looks so sleek. Infinix even claims it's the slimmest phone with a 3D curved display in this segment.</p>
<p>I&rsquo;ve got the Titanium Grey variant, which looks pretty much the same as the Note 50x.</p>
<p>But if you&rsquo;re looking for a bit more flair and style, we suggest that you go for the blue variant &mdash; it comes with a vegan leather back which looks pretty cool, but what really stands out is that it gives off this really cool fragrance.</p>
<p>The back and frame are plastic, but Infinix has gone for this cool metallic finish which feels very premium. You will definitely see fingerprints and smudges on the back panel, but fret not &mdash; you do get a matching case in the box. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Now, about that camera module &mdash; Infinix calls it a &ldquo;Gem-Cut&rdquo; design. It&rsquo;s flashy, and I get that they&rsquo;re trying to stand out in this world of smartphones that is just full of boring, boxy camera islands.</p>
<p>But if I am being honest, its not my cup of tea. I just wish the module was a bit smaller. But yes, design is totally subjective, so maybe you may end up liking it.</p>
<p>The phone also comes with Infinix's Active Halo Lighting that does it all &mdash; calls, notifications, charging, gaming, and voice assistant. Personally, I found this mostly to be useful for notifications, but it's definitely a cool feature.</p>
<p>The Note 50s also holds its own when it comes to durability. You get IP64 dust and water resistance and military-grade certification. You also get JBL-tuned dual stereo speakers &mdash; they&rsquo;re not super loud, but the bass is clean and doesn&rsquo;t distort. There&rsquo;s an IR blaster on top and also an in-display fingerprint scanner that&rsquo;s surprisingly fast and reliable.</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix Note 50s Display</strong></h3>
<p>Now let&rsquo;s talk about the display, because it&rsquo;s honestly one of the best I&rsquo;ve seen in this price range, even though it has some issues.</p>
<p>You&rsquo;re getting all the good stuff: a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED panel, rich colours, deep blacks, and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. It even managed to stay pretty bright and usable in the outdoors, and those curved edges give total flagship feel.</p>
<p>But if you&rsquo;re gaming enthusiast and are planning to game on the device a lot, those curves can be a bit annoying, especially when you're trying to grip the phone during intense sessions. Also, the 144Hz refresh rate only works in the settings page, phone and message app.</p>
<p>Everywhere else, the refresh rate is dialled down to 120Hz. Honestl,y though, I was hard-pressed to tell the difference. But for content and casual use, this display is fantastic.</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix Note 50s&nbsp;Battery</strong></h3>
<p>If you&rsquo;d asked me in 2024 whether a 5500 mAh battery was impressive, I would have said yeah, definitely. In 2025 though, we are seeing manufacturers launch smartphones with 7,000 mAh batteries, and sometimes even more. So, Infinix too could have taken that route.</p>
<p>That said, for a phone this slim, the battery life&rsquo;s very good. I got a full day&rsquo;s use out of it &mdash; gaming, streaming, scrolling &mdash; no matter what I threw at it, the Infinix Note 50s dealt with it like a boss. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The 45W fast charging is also solid, and there&rsquo;s bypass charging as well &mdash; which powers the phone directly instead of the battery, so it doesn&rsquo;t heat up too much when charging.</p>
<p>The battery and charging performance is right on point for a budget phone. Having said that, we hope Infinix pushes the envelop when it comes to battery size. Most users would be perfectly fine with a device that is slightly thicker, but has an insane battery life.</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix Note 50s&nbsp;Performance &amp; Software</strong></h3>
<p>When it comes to performance and software, the Infinix Note 50S is punching way above its class.</p>
<p>Dimensity 7300 Ultimate may seem to be something extra and next level, but it's basically the same chip as the regular 7300 &mdash; and it still holds up strong. Antutu scores show it&rsquo;s just 3.5% behind the newer Dimensity 7400 on the Moto Edge 60 Fusion. The GeekBench scores also tell a similar tale.</p>
<p>But the real flex is that it's 8GB LPDDR5X RAM &mdash; on both 128GB and 256GB models. That&rsquo;s insane for this price.</p>
<p>Storage is UFS 2.2 &mdash; it&rsquo;s not blazing fast, but for everyday usage, it's more than enough. The UI is snappy, app switching is smooth &mdash; I saw no lag at all.</p>
<p>As for gaming, BGMI runs great on HD + Ultra, but switch to Smooth + Extreme, and it's very smooth.</p>
<p>Infinix claims that you get 90 FPS in some games. You won&rsquo;t find that sort of frame rate in BGMI, but Call of Duty Mobile actually gives you that kind of gameplay.</p>
<p>As for the software, we get Android 15 with XOS 15. There is some bloatware, but by and large, it&rsquo;s manageable. We get a ton of fun stuff like a mini dynamic bar, music gestures, and gesture call pickup, which keep things interesting.</p>
<p>But the true hero is the AI Suite &mdash; we have plenty of generic AI features like AI writing, image gen, object eraser, and Circle to Search. But, we also get some pretty practical tools like a doc assistant, an AI translator, and a surprisingly useful Folax AI assistant.</p>
<p>And yes &mdash; 2 years OS + 3 years security updates. For a phone that costs about ₹16,000, that&rsquo;s a proper bargain.</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix Note 50s&nbsp;Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Moving to the cameras, we get a 64MP Sony sensor + and a 2MP shooter, that&rsquo;s there for moral support only.</p>
<p>But ignore the 2MP &mdash; the main camera delivers. Shots are punchy, vibrant, and straight-up Instagram-ready. The 2X zoom is also surprisingly usable, even in low light.</p>
<p>Selfies from the 13MP front cam look natural. As for videos, you get 4K 30fps on both front and back with decent stabilisation and only minor crop.</p>
<p>We don&rsquo;t get an ultrawide which would've been nice, but for what it costs, I&rsquo;m not complaining.</p>
<h3><strong>Verdict</strong></h3>
<p>The Infinix Note 50S starts at around ₹15,999. In fact, if people who ordered the device on the launch day &nbsp;scored it for as low as ₹14,999.</p>
<p>The Infinix Note 50S goes up against a pretty strong set of competitors. The iQOO Z10x for example, offers a 6,500mAh battery and faster UFS 3.1 storage, but the Note 50S is one of the most well-rounded phones right now &mdash; fast RAM, AMOLED screen, ad-free UI and a solid main camera.</p>
<p>And at the price point that Infinix is offering this device, I don&rsquo;t think there&rsquo;s a lot we can complain about.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Infinix Note 50x 5G will be available in two memory configurations. The 6GB RAM/128GB storage model is priced at ₹11,499. The 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant costs ₹12,999.</p>
<p>Early buyers can benefit from a ₹1,000 bank discount on ICICI Bank cards. This brings the prices down to ₹10,499 and ₹11,999 respectively.</p>
<p>The phone will be available on Flipkart from 3rd April.</p>

It&rsquo;s not going to blow your mind, but for the price, it&rsquo;s a pretty hot deal.</p>

<p>Infinix has just launched its latest gaming smartphone, the GT 20 Pro, featuring India&rsquo;s first D8200 Ultimate processor, all under Rs 25,000. We got to check out the Infinix GT 20 Pro along with the GT Pro Gaming Kit. Here&rsquo;s more from our first impression.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Infinix just launched the Infinix GT 20 Pro smartphone and GTBook laptop in India, marking the start of the company's GT Verse gaming ecosystem (yup, everyone's got a catchy name now, thanks Marvel).&nbsp;</p>
<p>The GT 20 Pro smartphone, priced under Rs 25,000, boasts impressive specs, featuring India&rsquo;s first MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset and a 144Hz AMOLED display.&nbsp;</p>
<p>But is the real-life experience as good as it sounds? Ahead of the launch, I got to check out the Infinix GT 20 Pro for a couple of days. Here&rsquo;s my first impression to help you take a closer look at the phone incase you&rsquo;re considering purchasing it.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Unboxing: What&rsquo;s in the Box?&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The Infinix GT 20 Pro comes packed in a tailor-made box to suit the taste of gamers. It is stylish in black, with inscriptions similar to the design of the phone inside. Unpacking this box itself was a treat. It opens like a puzzle box, with the tagline &ldquo;Welcome to the GT World&rdquo; greeting us.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Inside, we have a phone cover, a screen guard, the handset, an A-type USB cable, a 45W charger, the SIM-ejector tool, and the usual guides and manuals.&nbsp;</p>
<p>(Please note that the retail box could be different and contain fewer items.)&nbsp;</p>
<p>The unit we received from Infinix included the GT Pro Gaming Kit in addition to the box containing the phone. The gaming kit includes a GT mecha case, a GT cooling fan, a charging cable, and finger sleeves.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Design&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The design of the phone really stands out as its best feature at first glance. It features what Infinix calls the &ldquo;Cyber Mecha Design&rdquo; with &ldquo;Mecha Loop Lighting.&rdquo; This refers to the unique design at the back of the phone, with a circular metallic ring and diagonal patterns known as &ldquo;Mecha texture.&rdquo; The C-ring lights up in different combinations or effects according to the color variant of the phone.&nbsp;</p>
<p>For context, the GT 20 Pro comes in three design or colour options: Mecha Blue, Mecha Orange, and Mecha Silver. The differences in the colours are noticeable in the shade of the circular ring.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The GT 20 Pro has indeed hit the ball out of the park when it comes to designing the phone according to the taste of gamers. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Display&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The GT 20 Pro features a 6.78&rdquo; FHD+ bezel-less AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The bezels are as thin as 1.3mm on the sides, 2.1mm at the bottom, and 1.65mm at the top. It also boasts 1300 nits peak brightness, 2304 Hz PWM dimming, a 260Hz touch sampling rate, a 1500Hz instant touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 100% color gamut, and 10-bit color depth.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The GT 20 Pro is India&rsquo;s first phone to feature the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset. The Infinix GT 20 Pro processor is designed to elevate gaming experiences with MediaTek Adaptive Gaming technology and AI-enhanced Variable Rate Shading technology. It features up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 ROM, a 3.1GHz frequency, and an A580 integrated GPU. It comes in two storage variants: 8GB RAM with 256GB memory, and 12GB RAM with 256GB memory.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In addition, it includes a separate dedicated display chip that optimizes to support up to 90 FPS during gaming. This is the first phone in this price segment to incorporate a dedicated gaming display chip, which converts SDR to HDR.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It also features the X Boost mode that helps boost performance during intense gaming sessions. To test out the performance, I played BGMI on the phone in Smooth Extreme+ graphics setting. The gameplay was really smooth, and stutters and lags weren&rsquo;t noticeable at all. The phone did not get too warm even after 40 minutes of gaming.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The cooling system is also worth mentioning, as this is an important feature for gaming phones. Infinix informs that the GT 20 Pro features 360-degree SOC cooling, with VC Liquid cooling, PCM graphite sheet, and thermal paste working together to regulate the phone's temperature.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro AnTuTu score&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>Infinix claims that the phone has garnered a score of above 950,000 on AnTuTu benchmarking tool. However, we are yet to test the phone further, including running benchmarks, to reach a more conclusive opinion about its performance.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Camera&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The GT 20 Pro has a 108MP OIS main camera, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. Video recording is capped at 4K at 60FPS, with features like dual video and super night mode. The initial round of pictures we clicked seemed quite bright and clean, slightly on the over-exposed end, but we need to click more pictures to say for sure.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Battery and Software&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The GT 20 Pro features a 5000mAh battery and is supported by a 45W fast charger in Hyper Charge mode. The GT 20 Pro also supports Bypass Charging.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Infinix GT 20 Pro Software and Additional Features&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The GT 20 Pro runs on the latest Android 14-based XOS 14, with promises of up to 2 major Android upgrades, up to Android 16. Infinix also promises up to 3 years of security updates.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Infinix GT 20 Pro is priced below Rs 25,000, starting at Rs 22,999 (inclusive of bank offer) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This is quite a tempting offer for a gaming phone, especially with the kind of features and specs on offer.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You can also get the GT Pro Gaming Kit, originally worth Rs 5,499 absolutely free! This kit includes a GT Mecha Case, GT Cooling Fan, and GT Finger Sleeves. However, this is a limited-period offer and it is only available while stocks last.&nbsp;</p>
